My footsteps halted as the stench grew more and more piercing my nose, I bit my lips firmly with the occasional hold of my breath.
My eyes widened wide, my footsteps spontaneously came to a halt when my eyes were thrown forward, getting an unpleasant sight. “Princess!”’ Again my steps again stopped, “ada what?” I asked when I turned to look at the guard.
“And also, can?” I spoke again with a glance towards my arm which he held.
Quickly he pulled his hand from me, “forgive me,” he said throw a glance towards the back of my body, “ I will check it first, if I feel safe, then you can go there, then,” he came back while walking past me.
I turned to look at his back which was progressively walking away. I threw a glance around, casting a glance towards the pile of rotting corpses with their partially swollen bodies. Quickly, I turned back as the nausea grew more and more, filling the stomach.
“Close, Princess! Here, safe!”
I let out a strong sigh as the male voice rang out, my body turned back around followed by the breath I took. I began to walk forward, as hard as I could try to hold my breath as I walked closer to the man earlier.
I stopped the step beside a corpse whose body had blackened, complete with maggots that filled its slightly open mouth cavity. I crouched down near the corpse earlier with the arms of the clothes I was wearing that covered my nose.
My eyes glanced towards the body of the corpse earlier, some of his fingers disappeared, even his ears disappeared. “What is this place?” I glanced and stepped up to the bodyguard who was crouching beside one of the corpses lying beside a large rock.
“Corpse disposal, they are made into toys by the ruler here. They are severely tortured, after they die .. Their bodies will be thrown here,” I replied as I crouched beside him.
I let out a deep sigh as my gaze led to the dead body of the woman lying stiff before me, how not.
I raised my palm to feel her slightly distended stomach, my eyes glanced towards her chest that had disappeared and only left a pus-filled scar surrounding her. Was his chest deliberately cut off by those savages? They are, like, cruel.
I slightly shifted closer to his head, I rubbed both of his open eyes using my palm. I curled up, hiding my face between my legs. My heart was broken seeing all this, my chest was tight as if I myself had experienced it immediately.
I stood up again, I wiped my eyes followed by a strong breath coming out of my lips. I turned around, stepped away from the bodyguards and the pile of rotting corpses that were all around. “Princess, don't get too close to the cliff there!” He shouted as I set foot near the edge of the abyss directly adjacent to the ocean.
I turned around, glancing at her who was walking closer, “your name?” I turned my eyes back to the sea.
“Forza,” he answered briefly, I slightly lowered my gaze, staring at the shadow of his body imprinted near my feet.
“How many times, Alma visited this place?” I asked flatly without even looking at her.
My body turned to look at him, “just say, you guys asked Alma to watch over us, it was because she didn't want to lose our tracks, did she?”
“Alma, ally with the Emperor. He, too, worked with his uncle. I'm right, aren't I?”
“What, you mean?” Both of his eyes that were looking at me were enlarged.
“I met Alma in the forest, seven years ago. As I recall, there was only one cowardly man who joined our group. That person, is none other than Alvaro, and not Alma. Why, he looks too scared with his uncle's family. That, totally indigestible to my brain,” I said walking closer to him.
“You are wrong, since returning from the empire seven years ago. Prince Alma, turned into a very quiet person. He looked afraid of anything, he could not even sleep in the dark. He, spent a very long time, to be able to recover like now,” he replied with great certainty to me.
“I, can swear on my life, if what I say is honest as it is,” he said again by putting one of his hands touching the chest.
I took a deep breath and exhaled again, “well,” I said as I stepped closer to her, “I don't need an oath, I need proof. Tell Alma, spend all his wealth to free the slaves especially the little ones and the women of this region. Me, just going to give it time until midnight,” my whisper beside him, I glanced at the palm of my hand that had touched his shoulder.
“Deliver all your abilities, spend all your possessions to do so. When you're done, say these words to my family, ‘ take refuge somewhere, where you can see the sky without obstruction. The place, where the wind will blow touches you without being hindered by anything.’ What are you, able to do?” I asked her back while moving my legs back away from her.
The man named Forza still set his eyes on me complete with his forehead that looks a little shriveled. "Do you not understand what I'm saying?!" This time, the sound that came out was slightly raised, turning into a clash for him.
"I've lost all my patience. No, make me say this a second time. If you don't want the Juste Kingdom to lose its successor and be destroyed. If you don't want to lose your life without doing anything. So, listen to what I say," I threatened, I turned back, stood behind him.
"We have no obligation to do what you tell us to do."
"You're wrong" I cut his words. "You have no right to refuse my orders. Ask the Prince you serve ... What would have happened to him first, if only he hadn't listened to all my words," I said as I continued walking closer to the brink.
