POV: The Victoria Blade

"What's that, stupid, stupid, stupid Kaizo!"
With her hair standing straight, Victoria ran through the castle hallway. He wiped away the huge tears that formed in his eyes with his sleeves.
'It has nothing to do with you, Victoria.'
The words were replayed with a cold tone of Kaizo over and over again in his head.
(I'm not trusted by Kaizo.)
He became very sad when he thought about that.
'You, what do you know about my brother?'
The killer girl told Victoria that.
(That's right, I don't know anything about Kaizo.)
Heart's hurt. The inside of his throat hurt. What is this feeling, he thought.
(Why didn't you tell me anything?)
He stopped running, wiped his tears and then trudged along. The girls in dress turned to look at him with puzzled expressions.
(True, the dance is tonight.)
Actually, he had been anticipating it since yesterday. Along with the new swimsuit, she also prepared a special new dress for the dance today.
(It's, unlike me wearing it for her or anything,) Victoria quickly removed the shadow of Kaizo's face from her mind.
(But I want to know what kind of face she would make if she saw me wearing a dress.) While zoning and thinking about such a thing, his face turned red.
(W-what I think. I don't care about Ka-Kaizo anymore!) He muttered inwardly while biting his lips. Suddenly a heat wave came from beneath him as a fire-clad hell salamander appeared.
"What's up, Salamander?" Victoria asked while bowing.
"Do you want a snack? I have canned tuna in the room."
Salamander shook his head. And then he saw the silver chains trembling in the mouth of Salamander.
"That's..."
Silver cat pendant. The gift Kaizo bought for his birthday two weeks ago. It looks like it was taken out of the jewelry box where she put it.
"W-What's up, huh?" Victoria took the locket into her hands.
The first birthday gift she ever received from a boy. He was really happy at the time. He held a pendant in his chest like a treasure.
"True, it was also partly because of my mistake." He sighed while patting Salamander's head.
(I can only be honest when I'm not in front of him.)

POV: Kirigaya Kaizo
_____________________________________
"Where did Victoria go?" Kaizo is crossing the castle like a labyrinth in search of Victoria.
(Instead, he's completely lost.)
Whatever the case may be, the original structure is a truly whimsical design from the mythical age.
With repeated changes over several hundred years, the passageways unfold in various ways to form a labyrinth. All rooms look the same, thus eliminating one's sense of direction.
(With this kind of thing, not getting lost would be strange.)
With the sun setting, the ceremony drew closer.
(I have to go back to my room. Anyway, we'll probably see each other later.)
And Kaizo stopped, in the middle of the hallway there is a garden complete with fountains.
"Ohh, that's amazing."
His eyes were fascinated by that beautiful sight. Countless flowers grew and small light spirits gathered there. The water radiating from the shower was filled with purity.
(This may be the place where the princess maidens purify themselves.) While thinking that, Kaizo approached the park.
The light spirits floating in the air ran like newborn spiders. Near the fountain are five stone statues. The image of the five Elemental Lords controlling the Astral Spirit was painted there.
A soldier holding a flaming sword. Elemental Lord of Fire, Haimdal.
A boy with green eyes. Elemental Lord of the Wind, Sariel.
The giant who uses an iron hammer. Elemental Lord of the Earth, Gerdo Tera.
A woman hugged a water jug on her chest. Elemental Water Lord, Ilyas Airsea.
An old man with scales and a bishop's staff. Holy Elemental Lord, Sage Tristan.
Those who bring prosperity or hardship to all mankind, the king of all spirits. Of course, those spirits didn't really look like their statues.
The images here are just a representation of what people imagine of their quality when put into human form.
"It's also a relic from the mythical age."
Those are incredible statues. At the very least, they were not products of the past several hundred years. Kaizo doesn't have much knowledge about historical ruins, but he knows a lot.
The stone used is not just a regular stone. The precious spirit crystal had been used. Closer and looking, Kaizo saw something out of place and exclaimed, "Hm?"
Five statues that imitated the looks of the Elemental Lords. Next to them was another statue. With nothing left above the knee, another statue was there. It was something completely foreign to the park.
(Why is this thing here?)
The tragic appearance of the statue with only what was left under his knees. It was not removed afterward, so it was clearly an important ancient legacy.
Just then, something floated into Kaizo's mind.
(The true temple of the true temple of ancient times.)
Together with the five Elemental Lords, there was one place that unnaturally lost something.
(Nyx whispered something back then,)
They were in a hurry so he missed it, but he still remembered clearly.
Suddenly from behind came a voice and Kaizo immediately turned around. A beautiful girl with black hair clad in a dark color dress stood beside the fountain.
He has a seductive smile. Soft twilight eyes. The person he had been looking for, the girl he had always wanted to meet was now there, in front of him.
"Allen..."
"For someone looking for a cat, you look like you've just seen a ghost." He smiled and walked towards her with light steps.
Kaizo is still frozen. He just stood with his eyes wide open. The girl of darkness came before Kaizo stood on her tiptoes.
"You really grew up. Even though you were only as tall as I was then."
"Alicia, you..." Kaizo returned from his shock.
"Don't put on a scary face like that, Kaizo." A soft and sweet voice that lures a person into sleep. That hasn't changed. Nothing, not even the violence from three years ago has changed. The seal on his left hand was heating up like it was on fire.
(Why are you putting on a face like that!)
'Who are you?'
'Why did you mess up my heart using Alicia!'
Actually he was eager to shout that to the girl in front of him. The accusation was stuck in his throat.
(I know. She is the real Alicia.)
No matter what form he took, there was no way he could mistake him. The girl who became the first light for Kaizo who had closed her heart.
She had stayed by his side and given him warmth and peace. But now, everything has changed. He's not himself like he used to be.
Kaizo strongly bit her lips. Three years ago, he thought that would never change. He didn't know why he had turned out like this. Perhaps, something was broken when he made his Wish.
(Three years ago, I.).
What request was requested from the Elemental Lords. There are many things he wants to ask. And there were many things she needed to ask him about that day, but he had no chance of seeing her again.
Kaizo opened her mouth while still a little lost, "Alicia..."
"Hm?" The spirit of darkness tilted its head in a beautiful way.
"The military spirit that attacked the plane, is that what you did?"
"That's his order, not mine." Alicia answered with that and sat down on the broken statue.
With her two legs fused together and putting her chin in her hands, she had the beauty of a fallen goddess.
"Is that referring to the fake Assar Rei?"
"He's not your replacement, Kaizo." Alicia smiled gently. Just like it would be used when warning a small child.
"He is also a true Rei Assar."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm sorry, but I can't reveal it to you right now." Alicia silently refused by shaking her head.
"Why are you appearing before me now?"
"To warn you."
"Warn me?"
"Your past tries to destroy what you love."
"My past..." Kaizo muttered repeating his words.
"The orphan from the Instructional School, yes."
"Yes. Mia Vialine ignored his orders and went berserk alone. Well, it looks like he closed his eyes on the matter."
"Why is Mia targeting girls?"
"Isn't that clear. Because his beloved brother has been taken away from him."
Well, Mia Vialine shows no sign that Kaizo is the target. If that was true, there was no way he would ignore it when he could not use his elemental aero.
Victoria was a superior elementalist. Aura and Eve too, and Tiana was contracted by a powerful knight spirit. But even though they were elementalists, they were still normal girls. They were young, upper-class women who were gentle, dishonest, and loved black tea and sweet sweets.
(But the orphans of the Instructional School are different.)
Like Kaizo used to be. They were existences that were only brought up with knowledge of how to wreak havoc and slaughter.
It was not a sword style for pleasure, it was only for war. The world where the young noble ladies of the academy lived was completely different.
Even if they were representatives of the Sword Style Festival, there was no chance they could win in battle.
"I'm not gonna let that happen." Kaizo groaned small.
(Victoria, Eve, Tiana, Aura and Nyx.)
"I will definitely protect my friends."
"I wonder if you can?" Alicia pressed her fingertips to her lips and continued, "The orphans from the Instructional School are just like you in the past. I don't think you can stop them when you have a hard battle against people like Noah Alnest."
"No problem. I'll protect them at the expense of my life."
"Hmm, I'm a little jealous."
"That's why, I'll protect you too, Alicia."
Alicia's eyes widened. His twilight eyes finally showed unrest.
"That part of you hasn't changed one bit" he shrugged and slowly stood up. She stepped in front of him and tiptoed to kiss Kaizo muttering, "I'm happy, Kaizo."
Kaizo froze for a few seconds. The inside of his head had become numb and had become pure white.
"M..."
Alicia slowly opened her lips with Kaizo and she once again whispered into Kaizo's dumbfounded ear, "I'll wait, Kaizo. For your resurrection as the successor of the Demon King."
"Allen?" Kaizo reached out, but grabbed nothing but thin air. The dark spirit girl had turned into a black mist and disappeared from in front of Kaizo.
