Chapter 3: The Determination of the Fire Girl
"You see her?" ask Victoria with a red face.
Kaizo lowered his eyes downward, he looked up. "I-I saw it just a glance. And you, unexpectedly, are a very brave girl. Your underwear is the same color as your hair."
"You lied! They are not red! They're white!" Victoria shouted out loud.
Kaizo nodded wisely. "Ah, so they're white."
Huh uh?
Realizing that she had been tricked, Victoria bit the front of her lips. The tears that had been expanding around his eyes, began to descend.
"U-uuuuh..." Victoria started crying.
At this sudden unexpected reaction, Kaizo immediately panicked. "No, you're a pervert. A dirty young woman, who reveals the color of her own underwear."
He had planned on saying more to tease her, but as expected, he started to feel guilty and like a bad person. Taking the opportunity while Victoria was still crying, Kaizo removed the whip from her neck.
"Alright, I went too far with my jokes. I'm sorry." Kaizo stood up and placed his hand on Victoria's head.
He stopped crying and looked confused looking at Kaizo's black eyes.
"It's my fault that I saw you naked while you were bathing. I touched your chest too. However, the act was not intentionally. Please believe me." Kaizo explained with that unpleasant atmosphere.
Seeing the truth from the words she spoke from her eyes, Victoria inevitably averted her eyes. His heart was beating for some reason and his body was starting to warm.
"What the fuck! If you're not a pervert, then why are you here?"
A question that Kaizo does not answer easily. This forest was under the jurisdiction of the Sizuan Princess Academy, known as the Spirit Forest.
There would be no reason for a man to be on the academy grounds. Even if he wasn't a pervert, the fact that he was in a place that shouldn't be bullied couldn't be avoided.
"I was called by Aidenwyth." Kaizo tells Victoria frankly.
"Aidenwythe? The principal of the academy!?" Victoria asked suspiciously and widened her eyes. "Indeed why did the headmaster call men to the academy?"
"I'm not lying. Look, here's the proof." Kaizo continued while reaching into his pocket and took out a letter from inside his coat.
The letter was signed by a famous principal. It was also stamped with the emblem seal that symbolized the Five Great Elemental Lords.
"Is that the seal of the Empire's first rank emblem!?" Victoria screamed in surprise.
The first rank emblem seal was in production by sealing spirits with special techniques into the seal. This seal was rated as the highest among the seal emblems issued by the Empire and said to be completely impossible to fake.
Of course, it was something that was rarely seen. But as an elementalist, Victoria could definitely tell that it was the real thing.
"It looks like it's real. But why would the principal call a man to the academy?" Victoria asked with high curiosity.
Kaizo sighed. "Well, for the answer to that question you, must ask Aidenwyth, the old woman. Being called troublesome for me too."
"That's.. 'that old woman!?'" victoria's face stiffened.

She was an individual who was highly respected by the holy princesses who aimed to become the Spirit Knights. It was also said that he was as popular as the Strongest Sword Style Holder in the Eldant Empire, Rei Assar.
Even after he retired a decade ago from «Eleven General Knight», the most elite force of the Spirit Knights known as «Zero», his legendary status as «The Witch of Biru» Palace is still to be feared and worshiped at the highest level.
(Well, to me he's just a nightmare.)
Kaizo spoke in his heart while putting the letter back into his pocket.
"Aidenwyth is an old acquaintance of mine. I came all the way here, but the academy field is so big that I'm lost." Kaizo continued.
"Could you be led astray by the spirits in the forest?" Victoria bent her forehead and sneered. "That's so bad."
Kaizo nodded, feeling a little sad. "Yes, that's it."
In various continental locations, «Five Roh» forest is connected with «Nature Roh» via «Gate». This whole forest is inhabited by spirits who have wandered into this dimension. Most of the spirits are not attracted to humans and therefore are considered harmless.
There are also spirits who enjoy playing jokes. They deliberately mislead travelers who stray into the forest. Kaizo was confused by the whisper of the spirit and went deeper into the forest, so he got lost.
"By the way, I'm really happy to meet someone. It's not fun being a victim in the woods. Where should I go to the academy?" Kaizo asked solemnly to the girl in front of him.
"Where's direction? I'll tell you that it takes me two hours to get to the academy from here on foot." replied Victoria understandingly.
"What?!" Kaizo shouted in disbelief. "That far?"
If Kaizo walked that far alone, it was likely that he would once again be tricked by the spirit. Since there was a student from the academy present, he had thought that the academy was closer than that.
(Wait, why is this girl bathing in a place like this?)
Kaizo wondered in his heart. Today was indeed a bit hot, but instead of coming this far, there should be a bathing facility inside the academy. There are only girls in school, so there is nothing to be ashamed of.
Kaizo asks Victoria this question, but she puts her hand in her wet ponytail hair and tries to comb it.
"I'm here for the purification ritual for the spirit contract. The spring next to the temple has the highest water purification quality. You know that spirits love women who have pure minds and bodies?"
"Spirit contract?" Kaizo pondered for a moment.
The moment he heard those words, a throbbing pain came from the back of his left hand covered in black leather gloves. Kaizo grimaced from the sharp piercing pain.
"A little further into the forest than here was an ancient holy sword in the temple. Rumor has it that a powerful sealed spirit is locked there. Since the establishment of the academy, not a single girl daughter had managed to make a contract with him. It sounds like a very proud and noble spirit" Victoria said enthusiastically.

They were not normal spirits who lived in the Spirit World and moved to this dimension. Among the ranks and types of spirits, there were some who were sealed into weapons or armor by the ancient power of elementalists.
Most of these sealed spirits have brought terrible calamities to mankind and were monstrous creatures called «Babel» or «Akuma» by the ancient people.
Of course, they were not meant to be employed by elementalists. The powerful elementalists of the past sealed these spirits in weapons or armor so that they could never be summoned again and inflicted more damage to the world around them.
"Don't tell me, you plan to make a contract with a sealed spirit?" Kaizo asked with a dumbfounded face.
Victoria nodded. "That's right. Do you have a problem with that?"
"Stop, it's too dangerous!" Kaizo tries to stop Victoria from acting rashly.
"It seems you know a little about sealed spirits even though you are not an elementalist. I'm quite aware of the danger, but I need a strong spirit anyway." Victoria muttered by biting her tightly closed lips.
Seeing the strong determination in his expression, Kaizo snapped back his lecture at the end of his tongue. "Didn't you already have a contract with that fire spirit? It's also a powerful spirit, isn't it? It's okay if you wear her."
Fire spirits were not very rare, but there were only a handful of elementalists who could control fire spirits and were able to use Ether throughout the Empire.
On another note, the elementalist who had formed contracts with many spirits was extremely rare, obtaining a tremendous amount of luck. They would be called extreme elementalist princesses.
Disputes between contracted spirits can lead to a decrease in the balance of sacred power. Without sufficient talent, one would not be able to control them freely.
"Salamander is an important partner, but I need more power." Victoria calmly shook her head. "I have a purpose. To achieve it, I must have a strong spirit."
Victoria's red ponytail swung back and forth on her back as she carried Kaizo further into the forest. Moreover, Kaizo felt a bad feeling from this.
