Although Victorian leather shoes looked quite difficult to wear walking, Victoria was a well-trained elementalist, her strides were light and agile.
"Here we go" murmured Victoria. His proportionate legs stopped walking.
With her hands on her hips, Victoria looked back at Kaizo with a sharp gaze. "Why are you following me, you perverted spy maniac?"
"Without your guidance I don't know the way to the academy. As I've said a few times, I'm not a perverted spy maniac. My name is Kaizo, Kirigaya Kaizo."
"Fufu, what a strange name. Are you from the Bonia Empire?" Ask Victoria.
【 Bonia Empire 】
An Empire in the eastern region of the continent. It is said that the language, culture, and relationship between humans and spirits in the Bonian Empire was very different from Eldant.
"No, I'm not from the Bonian Empire. I was born on a remote island far away in a very small village."
Kaizo deliberately obscured his own statement. Of course, he was born in an island country in the east, but most of his childhood was not spent there and it was a secret that should not be uncovered.
"Your name also has a pretty unique flavor, Victoria Blade." Kaizo.
"Don't call my name kindly" Victoria snapped. "By the way, my name is also a strange name."
"really? I think it's a good name."
"W-what are you saying, bo-fool!" Victoria blushed, suddenly turned around and walked quickly in the direction she had pointed out earlier.
(Victoria Blade, obviously her name is a pseudonym.)
Most of the students attending the Sizuan Princess Academy were young women from noble families who had trained as potential elementalists since childhood with careful guidance.
No matter how experienced he was in the noble family, Kaizo had never heard of the Blade family. Victoria hid her noble surname. He must have had a reason to do so, but Kaizo had no intention of investigating deeper.
(Everyone has some secrets they want to hide, though) Kaizo thought. He looked down at his left hand which was covered in leather gloves.
(Even I have secrets of my own.)
Victoria kept walking through the woods. Kaizo quickly moved following the swaying deep red ponytail. Losing sight of Victoria in the woods now would only bring trouble for her later. Kaizo was well aware of the dangers of spending the night inside the Spirit Forest.
"Is that the academy uniform?" Kaizo asked.
"Yes." Yeah." Victoria nodded coldly as she continued to move.
The Princess Sizuan Academy Uniform was quite sturdy and could also serve as protective clothing. They had experienced spirit blessings and had an additional effect in increasing sacred attributes. The uniform can also serve well as ceremonial attire for contracting or summoning spirits.
"What, you mean it doesn't suit me?"
Kaizo shrugged her shoulders and replied, "No, it suits you very well," she then continued, "To be honest, I'm fascinated by it."
Kaizo planned to mock him with such scathing words, but the uniform was a perfect fit for him so Kaizo could not help but to praise him honestly.
"W-What are you saying!? Stop being an idiot!" Victoria stutters funny. He blushed red, while in his hands, his whip waved agitatedly.
"Uwahh, relax!" Kaizo.
"Isn't it because you said something weird?"
"What did I say was weird? I'm just telling the truth! I get it, I get it, so please stop whipping you for every little thing."
(Well, I really need her as a guide, but what a troublesome princess.) Avoiding the swinging whip, Kaizo sighed in his mind.

The temple that held the holy sword stood quietly in the open in the forest. Victoria easily removed the protective guard that forbade entry and stopped walking, then turned to Kaizo.
"From here onwards it will be very dangerous, so, as an ordinary person, you should stay away."
"As I said, I need to contract with a powerful spirit." Victoria calmly shook her head and stepped into the temple.
Ignoring his warning, Kaizo follows him. As for coming all the way, it was true that he needed guidance, but more importantly he was only worried about Victoria.
After all, sealed spirits were the strongest of the strong and at the same time possessed a wild nature. They prefer chaos and destruction.
If given the chance, they would even kill the elementalists who used their strength. They were not something that could be regulated by humans, which was why they were sealed.
A sixteen-year-old girl with an innate talent for using spirits, Victoria might also be called a child prodigy. However, if by chance he released a sealed spirit and failed to control it, what would happen?
Although she was just a girl he met by chance, Kaizo could not leave her alone. It would be against the principles he held.
"Why are you following me? I can't guarantee what will happen to you." Victoria warned Kaizo.
"Didn't you have absolute confidence to tame it?" Kaizo sarcastically replied.
"Of course I have it!"
"Then it doesn't matter if I come along." Kaizo shrugged her shoulders, prompting Victoria to turn away from him.
"Customize yourself."
The inside of the temple is foggy and dark and has a heavy atmosphere. Victoria slightly smelled the smell of the fungus mixed in the air and the smell disturbed the focus of someone who smelled it.

"Fire, let no light shine."
A small fireball soon formed from Victoria's fingertips. Basic spirit spells that harness the power of the Spirit of Fire. The flickering light of the fireball illuminated the temple walls.
The temple looked like a cave filled with stalactites. A sword was seen in the deepest area of the temple. It was a very beautiful sword when looked at more closely.
"That's the sword where the sealed spirit resides?" Kaizo mutters. Victoria responded to Kaizo's question by nodding softly as confirmation.
A unsheathed sword stood with a hilt on top of a huge rock. It was undoubtedly an antique that was most likely hundreds of years old but had no rust on its length or dent on its edges. Fine ancient runes were etched on the flat part of its blade, emitting a dim blue light.
"The sword that had existed even before the academy was established, the Evangelion Holy Sword," Victoria muttered respectfully.
"The Evangelion Holy Sword? Who killed the Demon King Ratanak?" Kaizo asked, surprised.
【 Demon King Ratanak 】
He commanded forty-two powerful spirits, bringing chaos and destruction to the continent and was the only male elementalist recorded in history. It is said that the one who killed the Demon King was the Evangelion sword.
"Idiot, there's no way that's the real thing." Victoria declared as she was amazed, "Evangelion Saints thrust into stone can be found everywhere in the Empire. Some remote villages even have it for village revitalization. After all, even if it wasn't the real problem, since it was a rune sword, it was probably a powerful spirit sealed within it."
"Indeed. Of course the real one wouldn't exist in a place like this." Kaizo finished with his statement.
Victoria walked towards the sword determinedly, "Haa, you stay behind!" Victoria snapped as she pointed at the approaching Kaizo.
"Don't force yourself."
"I understand."
Kaizo decides to watch over Victoria from the edge, where the light barely reaches her. Sealed spirits may be provoked by the presence of more than one person.
A heavy silence filled the surroundings.
