The Elemental Sword Demon King

The Elemental Sword Demon King
Episode 5: The Rage of the Sword of the Spirit

"Let's do this, Victoria Blade." Breathing deeply, Victoria muttered to herself.

"His voice trembled a little, it seemed like he was nervous" Kaizo said.

"Oh Sealed Noble Spirit in the Ancient Holy Sword!"

'You Will Receive Me as Your Master and I Will Be Your Glove!'

From his cherry-red lips emanated an eloquent spell for the ritual contract in tongues. His red hair stood on the end. A strong wind started to swirl within the temple.

Kaizo watched him intensely. Once the contract is pronounced and the spirit recognizes Victoria as its master, the spirit seal will be engraved somewhere on its body. The contract promise would then enter their conclusion.

As he watched, a terrifying gust of wind swept through the temple, Kaizo involuntarily stuttered, "Eh?"

However, Victoria was not affected, as she calmly swore her contract. A dazzling light emanated from the Evangelion holy sword in his hand.

"I can't believe it, he exchanged contracts with sealed spirits!?" Preventing himself from being swept away by the wind, Kaizo was stunned.

From the holy sword thrust into the stone, came an enormous divine energy. If Victoria was an ordinary elementalist, she would have fainted already.

"Three Times I Tell You to Exchange Oaths With Me!" Victoria's oath echoed within the temple at that very instant.

"I've pulled. I pulled it out," he said.

"What, seriously!?"

Pointing out the sword she pulled from the stone at her feet, Victoria exclaimed in joy. However, in the next second, the ancient rune engraved on the Evangelion sword suddenly shone violently!

"Huh!?"

Victoria involuntarily removed the sword from her hand. The holy sword pushed itself back to the ground. With a flash, it blew itself up into pieces.

"Yahoo!" A short scream flew, then Victoria collapsed to the ground.

"Hey, are you okay!" Kaizo asked and quickly ran towards Victoria.

"A-What? What exactly happened?" Victoria held her temple and slowly got up, then looked around uneasily.

"My sealed roh-roh?"

"Wait, I can feel something terrible" Kaizo warned.

Sweat runs down the back of Kaizo's neck. His face showed the terror he felt as he looked up at the ceiling of the temple. Near the stone ceiling was a sword swinging while hovering in the air.

(That's not a broken holy sword. However, it was a rough steel blade that looked extremely sharp.)

"Is that a sealed sword spirit!?" Victoria asked.

"So it was from the sword spirit class. It seems a bit disturbing" Kaizo replied.

"How do you know so much? You're not even an elementalist!"

"It's clearly visible. No matter how you look at it, it doesn't seem to be someone who pledges allegiance to his master."

"Umm, that's it." Victoria obediently nodded as usual.

The floating sword tilted, pointed its tip downward and suddenly became motionless. Then he came down very quickly.

"Close!"

In an instant Kaizo pushed Victoria to the ground. The sound of rubbing rocks grazing his ears and continued to pass through.

"Yeah! Wait, where did you touch me!? I'll turn you into ashes!" With her face so red, Victoria hit Kaizo's chest repeatedly.

"Idiot, stop raging!"

Kaizo quickly moved his body and looked in the direction where the sword spirit was flying. Fragments of stones fell down with a clattering sound. The temple walls were cut neatly.

"It's amazing to be able to release a spirit of such rank." Kaizo glared with half-opened eyes at Victoria and said, "But her spirit is already really rampaging."

"Diamond. His imprisonment starts now."

The spirit sword let out a clattering sound as it flew back towards them. Inside the temple they could not move freely and even their visibility was restricted.

Kaizo grabbed Victoria's hand and stood up. Touching the soft skin of each other made Kaizo's heart flutter but she did not show any reaction on her face.

"Well."

"Stop making funny reactions like that in every little thing. Let's run away" Kaizo said.

"W-What, funny, me? Kyaa!"

"Let's run out!"

Kaizo clasped Victoria's hand as the two of them ran towards the temple exit. The spirit swords did not immediately chase after them. Probably not fully awake. With this chance they might be able to escape.

As they exited the temple, a flash of sword grazed before their eyes. Pieces of Kaizo tubers fell and danced in the wind. The spirit sword let out an incredible roar, firmly knocking down the surrounding trees in quick succession.

"Crazy! What a wild spirit, like a princess I know," Kaizo sighed.

"Always, you're noisy!" Feeling a little awkward, Victoria deliberately coughed, then stood up.

His pair of red eyes lit up with a strong determination, yet he somehow said a few words of provocation, "What a rebellious child. I'll hit you right later."

Rolling up the edges of her skirt, she then took out a leather whip that coiled around her thigh, hitting it hard to the ground. Kaizo's heart skipped a beat as she saw what Victoria was wearing behind her white skirt.

Kaizo ignored that and said seriously, "Are you crazy!? Your opponent is a high-level sealed spirit!"

"It will be an easy win.Amateurs like you please stay behind!"

"Where did you get all that confidence?! Whatever, let's run!"

Victoria brushed off Kaizo's hand that was clasping her wrist and declared, "No, you just ran away by yourself. I'm really gonna make this spirit mine."

"You, for what reason? Do you really need a strong spirit?"

"You'll never understand." Victoria averted her gaze and said, "I need strength, I need a strong spirit that will not lose to other spirits!"

*ᚠ ᚢ ᚱ ᚲ ᚷ ᚠᚢᚦ ᚨ ᚱ ᚲ ᚹᚺ ᚾ ᛁ ᛃ ᛇ ᛈ ᛉ ᛋ ᛏ ᛒ ᛖ ᛗ ᛚ ᛜ *

"Red fire guard, immortal fireplace keeper!"

*ᛟ ᛈ ᛋ ᛏᛒ ᛖᚠ ᚢ ᚦ ᚨ ᚱᚲ ᚹ ᚺ ᚾ ᛁ ᛃ ᛇ ᛈ ᛉ ᛋ ᛏ ᛒ ᛖ ᛚ ᛜ ᛞ ᛟ ᛗ ᛚᛜ ᛞ ᛟ*

"Now it's time to abide by the blood contract, come forward and do my bidding!"

Victoria recited her fire spirit summoning spell out loud. A fiery red flame appeared slowly and he was engulfed by the intense heat.

"The hunt begins, Salamander!"

Along with the burning fire, the red Salamander from Hell appeared. Instead of scales, it lit up with a red-colored flame wrapped around the beast's body.

"Is that the original form of his fire spirit!?" Kaizo wondered, "Indeed, he doesn't all talk. He's really magical."

For a spirit manifested in the form of an animal is proof that it is a high-level spirit. Salamander may be just a dear name, it may not be the real name of the spirit.

Without a doubt, it was a high rank spirit that carried a real name. Victoria held her whip, the Hell Salamander growled with a terrifying roar and then rushed towards the sword spirit.

The dancing sparks scattered and the atmosphere trembled due to the roar of the beast. The floating spirit sword spun towards the Hell Salamander, cutting through the trees in its path.

"Salamander, take it!" In response to Victoria's cry, the Hell Salamander jumped up.

Far above that hovering sword, he jumped up and his blazing hot breath pierced down towards the sword.

With a high-pitched shrill sound, powerful sparks scattered from the contact and the spirit sword fell to the ground. Victoria was running at the same time. That's not a fatal blow.

The spirit sword rose and flew back into the air in a split second, rolling itself over while drawing an arc in the air. The fire spirit chased after him, trying not to let go. Render hard, it made another big jump.

The fierce sparks spread once again. Victoria hit hard to the ground with her leather whip, slowly pressing forward against the sword spirit. It seemed like the leather whip was not meant for battle, but rather to signal instructions to the spirits.
