The Estuary of Desire Baruna

The Estuary of Desire Baruna
Eps. #49 Other Threats

"Of Alfin!" Diaz grunted irritably. "Why does Om always mess up all my plans? Not to help me, but Om is even more defending this girl!" he snapped while revealing the veins in his clenched hand, right in front of Alfin's face.

"You're really outrageous, Diaz! Not shameless! I warned you never to hurt Ardila again!" alfin countered as well with the pressure of his tone rising.

"If you dare touch Ardila just a little, then I won't be afraid to kill you, Diaz!" threaten Alfin while giving a sharp look to Diaz.

"Hmm...!" Diaz smiled again. "I don't know what's really on your mind, Om Alfin? What does Om have to do with Ardila to the point that Om defends her so much?" sneer Diaz accompanied his head movements, astonished.

"Of course I will always protect Ardila from anyone who has malicious intentions towards her, because Ardila is ..." Alfin's voice intonation, which was previously very high, returned flat. Fortunately, he managed to hold back his emotions and stop his words. He almost said that Ardila was his daughter. When Alfin's gaze was on Ardila, he realized that it was not time for him to reveal the truth about himself, both to Ardila and Diaz.

"Who, Mrs Alfin?" ask Diaz sneering. "The ardila is the son of Arkha, our great enemy! What good is it about defending this girl?" diaz continued to be more astonished by Alfin's attitude.

"Ardila is just a woman, Diaz! You don't deserve to treat him as rude as that?" hardik Alfin diverts.

"Your reasoning is absurd, Om. I don't know what Om's relationship with this girl is until Om dares to defy me! Om never forget that Om Alfin has a debt of gratitude to me, because I have freed Om from- ..."

"Shut your mouth, Diaz!" snapped Alfin instantly cut out Diaz's sentence. "You don't have to remind me of that anymore! I do owe you one, but that doesn't mean I should let you do evil and hurt Ardila!" firmly Alfin was very upset by Diaz's expression which confirmed a thank you.

Diaz turned her face away. "I don't have time to argue with you, Alfin! This time, I can still tolerate you. But, once again Om dares to ruin my plan, then I make sure that I will return Om to where Om came from!" pekik Diaz was full of threats while stepping out of his room.

Alfin rubbed his face rough. After Diaz left the room, Alfin approached Ardila who was still sitting frozen on the sofa of the room.

"Are you okay, Dila?" alfin asked as he looked at his daughter's face which looked a bit in shock.

"I'm fine. Thank you very much for the second time Om Alfin has saved me again." Ardila raised her face and smiled as she returned Alfin's gaze.

"But why is Om here? What's Om's connection to Diaz?" asked Ardila felt very curious why Alfin could suddenly appear there.

"Om works in this workshop, Dila."

"Om working with the criminal?" Ardila rounded her eyes.

"Then why did Diaz say that he, and Om Alfin, was hostile to my papa? What hostility, Om? My father was a good man, he never had any enemies. Why do you guys insult him? Isn't Om Alfin Papa Arkha's childhood friend?" Ardila. Of course he was very surprised why Diaz and Alfin discussed an enmity with his father.

"Ahh, it's nothing, Dila. You don't have to misunderstand. Diaz likes to talk when she's upset" Alfin tried to find an excuse.

"It's late afternoon, Dila. You better get home soon. You're sure to make it to your house last night, 'cause this place is pretty far from there." Alfin continued to divert. He did not want Ardila to ask him much more.

"Come, Dila! Om'll drive you to the car, Om doesn't want Diaz to bother you anymore." Alfin lifted Ardila's shoulder and let him out of Diaz's room. Ardila simply nodded and hurried his feet out of the workshop accompanied by Alfin walking in front of him.

"I'll go home first, Om. Once again thank you very much for saving me from Diaz" Ardila said as she got in her car and prepared to leave the workshop.

"Yes. Be careful on the road, son!" Alfin waved his hand until the car that Ardila was driving had already passed from before him.

.

Not far from the place, a premium SUV in metallic ash also looks to have just stopped in front of Diaz's workshop, and it was only a few seconds after Ardila passed from there.

"The girl was the first daughter of Arkha Waradana. He's Baruna's brother, Daniel's boss," the assistant said.

"Beautiful is that girl, what's her name?"

"Name's Ardila, Boss."

"Hmmm, so beautiful and sexy!" The other astonished man was Daniel, smiling in amazement.

"What's he here for?" continued curious.

"I don't know, either, Boss." Daniel's assistant, Jhon, just shook his head.

"We follow the girl, Jhon!" daniel's orders.

"Hah ... Why do we follow him, boss? Isn't it our goal here to see Diaz?" John was shocked at Daniel's request.

"Follow my orders, and don't argue!" daniel nodded at his assistant.

"Good, Boss!" sahut Jhon obediently without daring to refuse let alone argue.

Immediately, Jhon drove the car faster in order to catch up with Ardila's car which was far enough ahead of them.

.

Ardila kept driving his car. Throughout the journey, his heart was filled with questions.

He felt very upset when he remembered that Diaz was so wild as to want to desecrate him again for the second time. However, she is also very grateful that Alfin came at the right time to save her.

"What does Diaz mean by saying that papa is his enemy? Does Diaz have a grudge against papa?" That question always filled Ardila's head.

"Diaz always wanted to hurt me. Diaz also does not want Baruna to be close to her sister, Flo. Does this have anything to do with it?" Ardila kept trying to digest everything that happened and trying to find the answer on her own.

"Papa said that Om Alfin was his childhood friend but why did Diaz say that papa was his enemy?" Ardila became more confused. Not a single question could he find his own answer.

Ardila glanced at the clock on the screen of her car head unit.

"It's six o'clock, but the road is still jammed. I could make it home last night and Papa would definitely scold me again," grumbled Ardila worried because he would be late to his house, while the road he had to go through was still very jammed, and he was still very stuck, because it is the time for some people who just returned from their place of activity.

"I'd better find a shortcut so I can get home sooner."

Ardila then turned the steering wheel of his car and turned to a small road. He knew that path would bring him to his house sooner.

Ardila's car was slow because it had to pass through a narrow alley in the residential area of residents and Daniel's car, from a distance also continued to follow him.
