The Estuary of Desire Baruna

The Estuary of Desire Baruna
Eps. #54 There was a fire

Anger creates hatred, and hatred fosters resentment. That is what Daniel is feeling. The mockery and betrayal committed by Diaz, has been able to evaporate hot lava, embers of wrathful angkara, melted in the body of Daniel.

"Remain, Diaz! Prepare to accept your destruction. I can't wait to see him cry for mercy at my feet! Haha.....!"

Daniel chuckled among some of his accomplices, who were in a special room in his house that afternoon.

"Diaz has dared to challenge me. Once he has betrayed me and ceased to be my follower, his existence will greatly jeopardize our position. Anytime he can turn and turn around reporting us. If he leaks our weaknesses to the authorities, all of our other networks will definitely be captured by the police!" Daniel clucked, anger mounting in his soul. Diaz's defection was considered a threat to him as well as his entire network.

"John!" call Daniel, call his trust assistant.

"Yes, Boss." John bowed before Daniel who was sitting haughtily in his swivel chair while raising both his feet on the table before him.

"How's all the preparation, is it done?" daniel asked with the veins on his face that looked hardened.

"Already, Boss."

"Good!" praise Daniel and review his sly smile.

"Make sure everything goes according to plan and work as neatly as possible. Make it all like an accident so that no one knows that we are the mastermind of all the mess we are going to create. Including the police! Let no officer suspect us, because it will automatically also endanger us all!" Daniel affirmed a decree to all his men.

"Ready, Boss. I have also spread our men to keep watching from various points. I'm sure Diaz and her sister won't be able to escape this time." John also put a triumphant smile on his lips.

"Don't forget to arm yourself with weapons! When pressed, all that will be needed to save yourself!" daniel reminded.

"Sure, Boss!"

Daniel's lips continued to lift forming a conceited and triumphant smile.

"Prepare to die, Diaz! Tonight too, I will finish you off! Haha.....!" Daniel laughed again. A fairly thorough plan was prepared with his men to destroy Diaz.

Time went fast, the day went to the afternoon. The sun had already begun to tilt its position towards the lap of twilight.

At Arkha's corporate office, Baruna had already started to tidy up her belongings and was about to return home.

"Pa, I'm going home first. I had to take Kak Dila to find some necessities for the campus project task," said Baruna to Arkha who was then seen as still busy discussing about some of his work with Rendy.

"alright. Be careful and go home when your business is done!" sahut Arkha without any objection.

"Good, Pa." Baruna rushed out of her papa room and left the office.

"Rendy, you follow Baruna and Ardila! I'm sure the two of them must be planning to find out about Alfin. Keep an eye on them and don't let anything unwanted happen to them!" arkha's orders to her assistant.

Ever since Ardila asked Alfin, Arkha had been able to realize that Ardila would definitely try to find out other information about Alfin. Therefore, he ordered Rendy to always watch and follow where the children were going.

"Good, Boss!" sahut Rendy sprightly.

After getting an order from Arkha, Rendy rushed to call one of his men to be invited to follow Baruna.

.

Out of the office, Baruna directs his car to a cafe where Ardila is waiting there.

"Have you been waiting a long time?" baruna asked Ardila who was now sitting in the passenger seat next to her.

"We have to get there, before Diaz's workshop closes, Una. Brother wants to see Om Alfin."

"Good, Brother." Baruna immediately drove his car to Diaz's workshop address.

"Oh, the road is jammed like this. When are we gonna get there, Una?" Ardila was very impatient, her face looked agitated considering that they had only a few minutes left to arrive at the workshop before they closed.

"Ahh, I just remembered this weekend and it's time people came home from work, brother. Surely the streets are jammed!" sumpul Baruna was annoyed, while continuing to press the horn of his car which could only walk creeping amid the dense traffic jam of the city's main road.

"We're looking for a shortcut, Una!"

"Yes, Brother. But we still have to get through this traffic light up ahead of there."

A few minutes stuck in traffic, slowly the car could pass a traffic light and Baruna turned his car into a fairly rat road that could prevent them from congestion.

"Sial.... Why is it stuck here again?" Baruna grumbled, as they reached a street that was already not too far from Diaz's workshop address.

"It looks like we're too late, Una. It's already past six in the afternoon, the workshop must have closed, "sorry Ardila was disappointed because the traffic jam made them unable to get to their destination on time.

"Really, Brother. But we have arrived here, the workshop is only about two to three kilometers from here. We have to stay there. Even if the place is closed, maybe we can get information from the guardians or anyone we meet there, brother." Although they were convinced that they were late, Baruna did not want to undo her intention to still go to the workshop.

Their car is now completely stuck on the road and completely unable to move. Even in all directions, other vehicles also appear to be motionless.

"It looks like there's something going on up ahead, Una. This traffic jam is unusual," complained Ardila as she realized they were still just quiet in their original place.

From the other side of the street, the sound of emergency sirens roared. The longer the sound of the siren was getting closer and a fire engine was seen slamming in the middle of the vehicles stuck in traffic at that place.

"It looks like there's a fire ahead, sister," said Baruna as she opened her car's windshield and rolled her eyes out.

Not far from their position at the time, black smoke was billowing, soaring high into the air. Some people also look panicked and downstream around the area.

"What happened, sir?" Ardila opened the windshield next to him and asked someone who was passing on the sidewalk near their car stuck in a severe traffic jam.

"There was a fire at a car repair shop up ahead, Ma'am," replied the man.

"Car repair shop?" Ardila furrowed both of her brows.

"Yes, Mother. Rivaldy Oto Repair suffered a fire and it is not yet known what caused it."

"Rivaldy Oto Repair?" Ardila's eyes immediately rounded. He was very surprised to learn that Diaz's workshop was the one who was at that time the red whiz.

"What's up, brother?" Baruna immediately turned her head and looked at Ardila's face which looked very surprised after asking someone there.

"His workshop Diaz fires, Una," said Ardila lethargic. There was an anxiety now implied in the look on his face.

"What?" Baruna was shocked too.

"So, I'm not going to walk there to confirm this news, Una!" Ardila pulled the door handle on the car to open the door.

"Wait, Brother. I'm coming too!" prevent Baruna while marginalizing his car to get closer to the side of the road and park it there.

Baruna and Ardila got out of their car and walked quickly and burst out among the crowds watching the fire.
