The Estuary of Desire Baruna

The Estuary of Desire Baruna
Eps. #52 Curious Feeling of Ardila

Time has shown eight past ten minutes. It was late at night when Ardila arrived at her house.

Ardila took her steps slowly into the mansion.

"Hopefully you haven't come home from work and didn't see me coming home late." Ardila walked through the living room to the stairs that would lead her to her room.

"Gethelm!"

Ardila clenched her jaw and held her breath as she passed through the middle of the room, because she heard someone deheman there.

"Where have you just come home at this hour, Dila?"

Ardila turned to look at the sofa and saw Arkha sitting there. However, Arkha's gaze only focused on the screen of his phone without turning towards him.

"E .. I, I'm out of a friend's house, Pa. There are project assignments from campus that I have to complete first" said Ardila gave an excuse.

"Papa's just gonna call you. You have come." Arkha said while putting his phone on the table in front of the sofa.

"Have you eaten?" Arkha started to raise his face and looked at his nervous looking daughter.

"Yet, Pa. I thought the final task was piling up, my appetite was gone."

"If so, let's eat together now! Mama Mutiara and Baruna have been waiting at the dinner table."

Arkha got up from the sofa and grabbed her daughter's shoulders, taking her to the dining room.

"Ahh, fortunately papa did not scold me for coming home late," inner Ardila felt grateful because that day Arkha did not look angry at him at all.

In the dining room, Pearl and Baruna were already there first. Ardila then sat on a chair next to Baruna who had been seen fun eating salad as their appetizer.

"Mama cook your favorite sweet-sour dori, Dila." The pearl thrusts a serving plate containing fried fish flour to Ardila.

"Good thanks, Ma." Ardila opened the plate and began filling it with some food for their dinner that night.

"How was your lecture today, Dila?" Arkha started to open up a chat between them.

"Everything's good, Pa. There are only a few courses I haven't finished."

"Goodoo. If you have got a master's degree later, papa will place you as a financial manager in papa's office. Papa also wants you to take care of the office with Baruna."

"Yes, Brother. I'm also cured, starting tomorrow I'll start working at papa's office again." Baruna chimed in.

"Oh yeah, Pa.. Can I ask you something?" Ardila turned to Arkha who had started eating his food.

"Yes... What, honey?"

"If I may know, how was your friendship with Om Alfin in the past, Pa?"

"Check, uhuk!" Arkha jumped in shock at Ardila's question, and he immediately choked on it.

"Drink first, Bang!" The pearl took out a glass filled with water and thrust it before her husband.

"Why is your question like that, Dila. What do you know about Alfin?" Arkha scrunched up one end of his eyes.

"Nothing, Pa. It's a little weird, if Om Alfin is papa's best friend, why don't I ever see him?"

"Papa and Om Alfin are both busy, Dila. We haven't had time to meet. Om Alfin must also be very busy taking care of his business here."

"What business, Pa? I know he only works in a car repair shop" Ardila denied. Of course he became very surprised why Arkha said that Alfin had a business in the city, while he had met Alfin himself, and he claimed to work in Diaz's workshop.

"Car repair shop?" Arkha's eyes widened, he didn't expect that Ardila knew more about Alfin than he did. Although Rendy had been informed and said that Alfin had indeed come out of prison, but he himself did not know, who released Alfin from prison and where Alfin was at that time.

Without talking much more, they then finished their dinner quickly.

After eating, everyone went into their rooms.

.

"Where was that brother? Why is he coming home late?" baruna asked as usual, before going to bed would go into Ardila's room to invite him to chat and exchange complaints.

Ardila rubbed her face while taking a deep breath.

"So, I almost got into another accident."

"Huh, calamity .. what calamity, Brother?"

"Son't nearly raped again with Diaz."

"What ... Diaz?" Baruna's voice was rising. Both eyes were round hearing Ardila's confession

"Sst.....!" Ardila put her index finger on Baruna's lips.

"Don't be hard, Una! Mom and Dad can hear us!" whispered Ardila.

Baruna nodded. "Tell me what happened, brother?" her question was full of curiosity and began to lower her tone, understanding her brother's advice.

Ardila then told Baruna what really happened that day. Ardila also tells how Diaz turned to defend him from Daniel who also intended to harm him.

Baruna gave a rough sigh. "Diaz and Daniel are really people. They're both evil!" snarl.

"Pity, Flo. I'm more and more convinced that he was forced to accept his betrothal to Daniel. I'm sure Diaz or Daniel would've forced it." Baruna squeezed her hair rough.

"I'll find out, brother. I'll free Flo from the entanglements of those two evil humans!"

"It's not going to be easy, Una. Besides papa and his men who will keep an eye on you, the threat from Diaz and Daniel is also very dangerous. Wrong, you can get the stone again."

"I'll find a way to investigate without your knowledge, brother. Starting tomorrow I've started working in papa's office, which means I have a chance to get out of the house." Baruna assured me what she was going to do.

"Yes, Una. As much as possible Brother will also try to help you fight for your love."

Baruna smiled. "Thank you, Brother. You are my best sister!" Baruna hugged Ardila tightly.

"Hey, Brother. Why does he look so moody?" baruna asked when she realized that Ardila had put on my face, like there was something she was holding herself.

"Una, why are you a little suspicious of Om Alfin, huh?" Ardila expressed doubts that were still lingering in his head.

"What's wrong, brother?"

"Come, Una. Every time I met him, I felt like something was unusual. I feel like I have a bond with him."

"Hmmm ..." Baruna frowned.

"Papa also always looks nervous if you ask about Om Alfin. Looks like there's something to hide with papa and mama about Om Alfin."

"We'll both find out, brother." Baruna snapped her fingers.

"Sister said that Om Alfin worked in Diaz's workshop, right? I'm sure Diaz, Om Alfin, Flo and Daniel must have something to do."

"Yes, I think so too." Ardila nodded her head. He was sure that with Baruna he could find answers to all the curiosity he had felt about Alfin.
