The Estuary of Desire Baruna

The Estuary of Desire Baruna
Eps. #74 Drifting With Flow

"Hold, Flo! I'll help you!"

Baruna immediately jumped down to the deck of the ship which was lower than where he was at that time.

Water had filled the deck so Baruna had to swim to get closer to where Flo was.

Arriving near Flo, Baruna directly extended her right hand to Flo while her left hand remained tightly holding the iron fringes of the ship. Almost half of his body was now submerged in the sea.

"Hold the strong one, Flo. I'll pull you!" baruna again. Back then, Flo had already managed to reach into his hand and held it very tightly.

"Come on up, Flo!" Baruna continued to hold onto Flo tightly and tried her hardest to pull her back on the boat.

"I'm not strong, Bar! These waves are very strong. I can't stand it anymore!" flo shouted as he continued to try to hold his body from the brunt of the sea waves. One hand also held on to the iron of the ship while the other hand held tightly to Baruna's hand. For a long time he tried to save himself and survive by holding iron on the ship, until now his power has weakened.

The position of the ship is getting longer tilted. Flo is now no longer able to hold on to the iron whose position is also getting into the bottom of the ocean as the body of the ship sinks.

"Flo...hold on!" Baruna kept encouraging Flo to keep trying and not let go of her handrails.

"Malgene....!"

At the same time, Genta was already near that place. However, the place is resting at that time also has become more tilted. Genta was unable to get close to Baruna's position. The sea water had already filled all the areas of the ship decks below it.

"Malgene....!"

"Fw.....!"

"You hang on! SAR team will soon help you!" pekik Genta's. He was still encouraging, although in fact he himself felt very panicked and anxious about Baruna's safety. However, Genta could not do anything, the ship was getting shipwrecked and the sea water had filled all the parts on the ship.

Byuruurrr!

Suddenly an enormous wave came crashing down again.

"Fw......!" Baruna yells. The waves that came were so fierce, that Flo's hand slipped out of her hand.

"Malurin...!" just that shout alone was the last one heard from Flo.

The same thing happened in Baruna's dream. Flo's body is now no longer visible and he was swept away by a wave that was so fast hit him.

"Don't!" Baruna was screaming hysterically. Without thinking about her own safety, Baruna jumped into the middle of the sea and swam full strength to find Flo.

"I can't give up. I have to find and save Flo," inner Baruna steeled herself.

Without the slightest fear, Baruna continued to swim against the waves. He was sure Flo was still not too far away from his position back then.

"Baruna! Help me....!"

As Baruna had guessed, not far from her position, Flo was also seen continuing to swim and trying to fight the large waves that continued to hit her. The life jacket that was still attached to Flo's body at that time, was very helpful to keep it able to survive. Faintly Flo could also see Baruna following him swimming to the middle of the sea. As powerful as he could afford, Flo also kept trying to get close to him. However, the frequency of the waves that are getting firmer actually drift their bodies further away.

"Malgene.....!" Flo kept on calling and while swimming, her hand also kept on raising her so that Baruna could still see her.

"Fw....!" Baruna was not discouraged and kept trying to swim against the current. In the midst of the panic, Baruna was lucky to find a piece of wood that was drifting between the waves. Baruna immediately grabbed the log and went back to swim near Flo's body which was further blown into the middle of the sea.

"Hand this wood, Flo!" baruna shouted again as she managed to get closer towards Flo. With the rest of his strength, Flo tried to grab the wood and hold on to it.

Baruna and Flo continued to hold on to the wood and their bodies remained floating above sea level.

"Hold, Flo. Hold this strong wood. The SAR team will come to our aid soon." Baruna held Flo's hand to stay on the wood.

"I'm not strong anymore, Baruna!" moaning Flo. The power is already getting weaker, plus the harshness of the waves, it is very unlikely they will be able to survive from there.

"LORD.....! Save us!" Only that prayer is all they can offer and hope that a miracle will save them.

Suddenly a very high roll of waves again seen coming from the middle of the ocean.

.

That enormous wave had come completely unexpected. It happened so fast that Baruna was unable to remember what happened and how she stayed to deal with it.

A miracle that he had expected in his prayer had really happened. The big wave is actually now throwing his body near the beach which is quite far from the port and also the place of the shipwreck.

Feeling the sea sand touching his feet, Baruna realized that he was close to the beach and immediately swam to the edge.

"Fw.....!" Baruna yells. Although he survived, but he did not find Flo nearby.

"Flo... Where are you?" Baruna looked to the right and left looking for Flo. He had walked on the sand of the beach by then, but Flo was nowhere to be seen.

From a stream of river estuaries leading to the sea, Baruna's view continues to sweep into the middle of the ocean. Faintly in the distance he saw something yellow floating on the surface of the waves and its position was also not too far from the beach.

"Fw...!" yelled Baruna again while running back to the middle of the sea and swimming closer to the yellow object which is none other than the color of the life jacket that is still worn by Flo.

After finding Flo, Baruna continued swimming while pulling Flo's body towards the edge. Flo was already very weak back then, and her eyes were also tightly shut, unconscious.

The hour hand showed that it was still daytime, the rain that fell down before, now only a small drizzle left. It should be at that time that the sun is shining brightly. However, the sky still seemed to be covered in dark clouds so that not much activity was seen on the beach where Baruna and Flo were stranded. Even the place was so quiet that no one saw them.

"Flo...hold on! We're safe!" Baruna then lifted Flo's body and carried him to the beach.

"Who....! Up, Flo!" baruna screams in panic. Flo did not move at all and her eyes were still closed.

On the sand of the beach, Baruna laid Flo's body and checked her breathing and pulse.

"Flo fainted. I have to give him first aid." Despite being very panicked and anxious about Flo's condition, Baruna still did not forget what she had to do to give first aid to Flo.

Baruna then removed the life jacket from Flo's body and placed both hands on Flo's chest. Baruna presses the chest flo several times to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation/pulmonary cardiac resuscitation).

"Open..uhuuk...." Flo's body reacts. He coughed and vomited a lot of seawater from within his mouth, but his eyes were still closed and his body remained motionless.

Seeing that Flo had not yet realized from his stupor, Baruna immediately changed positions to immediately give artificial breath. His thumb and forefinger clamped the tip of Flo's nose. Baruna then pressed Flo's jaw with her left hand, to open her mouth slightly. With her lips clenched, Baruna brought her mouth closer to Flo's mouth and blew the air several times.

"Flo, wake!" Baruna shook Flo's shoulder which still had not reacted after he gave an artificial breath.

"I have to get help. Flo must be taken to the hospital immediately!" Baruna spread her gaze around.

The beach area where they are located looks very quiet, it seems like people are reluctant to go to the beach because the rain continues to pour into the city for several days.

Seeing the situation around him, Baruna immediately remembered that the beach where they were at that time, it was a beach not too far from the harbor and it was the first time he had ever expressed his love for Flo.

"Ohuukk....." Flo coughed again and her eyes, which had been closed, began to open slightly.

"Flo, you're sober!" Baruna could smile a little relievedly realizing Flo had already regained consciousness from her stupor.

"Baruna.." - Flo, with her lips together.

"Yes, Flo. I'm here and we both survived a storm in the middle of the sea!" Baruna grabbed Flo's hand and held it and hugged Flo's body very tightly. Unstoppable tears dripped from the end of his eyes. What a marvelous miracle of God, that they might endure the ferocity of the waves.

"It hurts.." groaned Flo while biting her lower lip.

"What's sick, Flo?" Baruna let go of his embrace, then checked and noticed Flo's entire body. However, there were no visible injuries there.

"It hurts so much, Baruna!" ringis Flo again rubbed her stomach.

"What's going on, Flo? Is your stomach hurt?" Baruna looked very confused.

Suddenly his eyes widened wide as he looked at Flo's thigh.

"Blood?" Baruna shook her head and grew increasingly panicked, when she noticed a fresh droplet of blood appearing to come out of Flo's groin.
