Bebegigs
Chapter 14's

"This is unlikely to work," muttered the God as he looked towards the hut.

"Moreover now it's getting dark," Magenta nagged. "Maybe we'd better go back tomorrow morning."

"It's better if we forget all this," God proposed. The orange saw his chin tremble again. His entire body was trembling as well.

"Hey–-you promised!" exciting Orange. "The promise must be kept!" said—inside yourself.

Did he forget, he himself had just broken his promise?

The twins did not say. The two looked at the dark cottage before them.

"Residences, nih," said Orange ketus. "What are you helping with?"

The strangling orange was restrained when it heard the growling sound from the direction of the hut.

Apparently the white wolf had heard or smelled their existence.

And Orange was very sure the creature would soon scatter out.

"Come on!" Orange whispered with an urgent tone. Then the girl immediately jumped into the bushes. It disappeared from sight just as Empu Brajasena and his wolf came out of the hut.

"The punten!" exclaiming Magenta on Empu Brajasena.

"Interracial!" Dewa added.

Orange watched them rush up to Empu Brajasena and kiss the back of his hand. The wolf lowered its head and watched every move of the twins.

The god and Magenta said something to the owner of the cottage. So nervous, they talk together. But their voices were not heard by the orange.

They keep their promises! the word orange in the heart. His heart is beating fast. They managed to distract Empu Brajasena.

Now it's orange's turn to move. It was time to execute the plan he had laid out. He heard Magenta talking to Empu Brajasena.

Carefully Orange peeked out from behind the bushes.

The white wolf stood on its back to the orange. Empu Brajasena was scratching her head while listening to Magenta.

The orange could not see his face. But he could imagine he was very confused and shocked. Orang-ga knew the man had never been a guest. he must be amazed why the Gods and Magentas were on the top of the mountain!

All those thoughts were removed from his mind. Now it's his turn to act. He took a deep breath. Then start running while bending over. His feet were made of gelatin. So mushy. His boots were drowned in mud.

While bowing his head, the girl rushed up the steep mountain slope.

Up, up.

He had just passed through the bushes when he heard Empu Brajasena exclaim in anger, "Hey, wait!"

The orange stopped so suddenly that it fell backwards. He slammed hard. Mud flew around him, enveloping him, burying him.

Everything is all chocolate.

Failed, he said in his heart. My plan didn't work.

The orange rose and turned towards Empu Brajasena. But it turned out that it wasn't her who was yelled at by the man. Empu Brajasena and his wolf ran down the mountain. They're after the Gods and Magentas. The wolf snarled loudly. Then the two disappeared from view due to the veering streets.

The orange stands like a statue.

What would Empu Brajasena do to God and Magenta?

Should I go back and try to help them?

No. gabe. I can't back off now. So far everything has gone according to plan. And this opportunity should not be wasted.

The orange took a deep breath, then started running towards the top. The slope is very steep. Because of the severity, the girl was not sure if she was strong up to the top. But eventually the mountain slope became ramps again.

The orange stands on some sort of fog-covered slope. His shoes slipped repeatedly. He's squeezing his back to the cliff. And look towards the cave.

Yup!

The sacred cave is above it. Building size. The layer of fog was thick like a cloud, and it fused with the shadows of the clouds in the sky.

The orange walked slowly, step by step while continuing to close its back to the coral wall.

"Don't look down!" he muttered. But as soon as those words came out of his mouth, he was forced to turn his head.

Holy hooch!

The bottom of the abyss seemed far away beneath it.

If I slip and fall…

Hey, don't be scared! You won't slip and fall! he said in his heart, trying to be brave.

Suddenly there was a rumbling sound. And the girl was shocked too. He held on with both hands so as not to fall. The rock under his feet shook.

The rumbling sounds were heard again.

The orange screeched in fear. It felt like the entire mountain was shaking!

The sound came from inside the cave. There seems to be something moving up there, he thought.

Or does the mountain peak usually sound like this if the wind is blowing strong?

The orange mustered all its courage, and again crept forward. Step by step.

I've gone too far to retreat without bringing any results, he said.

The plateau he passed by was getting narrower, the more slippery, the darker.

Again there was a rumbling sound. The orange again gripped the cold and wet stone wall.

After the sound subsided, he again advanced inching. It doesn't seem to be up to. But finally the mouth of the cave appeared before him.

And after that, he saw the most terrifying creature he had ever seen in his lifetime.

At first the orange did not see it.

At first he only saw a layer of fog that enveloped the slope. And the cave is like a glass looming behind it. The mouth of the cave was gaping wide, and it looked darker than the darkest night.

The orange looked into the darkness. He tried to catch his breath. Waiting for his heartbeat to return to normal.

The clouds reflected on the surface of the cave appear to be moving to the right. The effect was as if the cave was moving. Spiky rock protrusions appear to hang from the top of the cave mouth.

The orange immediately imagined a sharp tooth that was ready to bite. He continued to look at the mouth of the pitch-black cave and waited. Waiting if something will come up.

It doesn't have to wait long.

Rumbling sounds as loud as thunder shook the slope where he stood.

For fear of falling, the orange immediately knelt down.

The rumble gets louder.

And next he saw a black figure that emerged from the darkness of the cave mouth. A giant scarecrow!

Jurig Bebegig's.

The orange held its breath and widened its eyes as the creature moved towards it.

"Ohhhh!" Orange screaming. He forgot where he was. He forgot that he was standing on a slippery and narrow slope.

The orange moved backwards, away from the creature. And suddenly he slipped. His feet lost their ground. And he floated in the air.

Reflexively, he put his hand up. And gripped the edge of the slope where he was standing earlier.

Then, groaning, the girl climbed to a safe place.

The girl's whole body was trembling. Breathing gasps.

Orange knelt on the side of the cliff covered in mist, and stared at the scarecrow that was swerving towards her. His black cloak and veil were fluttering in the wind. His round, black eyes were roughly the size of a door button. Mouth grinned. Not to mention the scar. The scar seemed to swirl around his cheek, like a black snake.
