Bebegigs
Chapter 69's

"She said please sit down," Yasa said to Orange, either jokingly, seriously, which then concluded Orange as a satire.

The orange has not allowed him to sit.

But Yasa's serious expression as he said it made Orange unable to resist asking, "You can interact with animals as well, Sa?"

Yasa smiled again. So thin. "Everybody can interact with animals" he said. "Just like you!" He added, then dropped himself on the sofa.

Bu Lastmi's cat leapt up onto the sofa and curled up on Yasa's side as was his custom with Bu Lastmi.

Orange lights the living room.

Yasa looked on with caution. His eyes were twitching while watching the surroundings. "The owner of this house is a true collector" he commented.

"Does that mean she's not a witch?" The orange joins Yasa and Cakra on the sofa.

The cat meowed slowly like it was grumbling.

"Not." Yasa shook his head, then bowed and rubbed Cakra's head.

The cat lays itself down comfortably.

Orange frowned. Staring at Yasa and the cat took turns.

As if she could read the thoughts of the orange, Yasa then said, "Every animal has its own way of interacting." His gaze did not turn away from the cat Miss Lastmi, his hand still rubbing the cat's head.

"I don't understand" said Orange frankly.

Yasa finally raised his face and looked at Orange. Then smile thinly once again. "Not to think about it" he said slowly.

Orange watched the man for a while, and noticed the tired wrinkles on his face. "Have a rest, Sa" he said.

Yasa yawned and relaxed his body on the sofa.

"Cakra, here!" The orange shook the black cat's body as it moved.

The cat meowed and jumped down from the sofa.

Orange walked into the kitchen, the cat did not immediately follow him, he looked at Yasa while tilting his head.

"I'm tired" said Yasa.

The cat meowed again, his voice sounding soft, then reluctantly followed Orange into the kitchen.

Orange poured a cat snack and put his special plate on the floor, the cat approached him. "Basic puff," grumbled orange. "When I just ate my brother."

The cat responded with a low mutter, then began to devour its food.

Orange slipped into his room, put back his backpack and hung his jacket behind the door. Then back to the living room.

Yasa was completely asleep.

Today was really exhausting…

A silvery-gray night descended upon the earth.

The orange fell asleep.

In his sleep, Jingga had a dream. One time he dreamed of a black cat Bu Lastmi drowning in a lake. He jumped in to save her. But from the bottom of the pond appeared a giant octopus, entangling the orange with its large tentacles.

The orange thrashed, trying to escape from the entanglement.

Not successfully.

Like being dragged by a tidal wave, the orange felt powerless to break away from the greater force. Even more terrifying, he saw the bottom of the gaping lake, revealing a huge hole that was pitch-black.

The giant octopus leapt into the dark hole, dragging a thrashing orange into it. Far, far away into the darkness.

Yasa woke. He sat down feeling confused.

When did I fall asleep?

His eyes see in the darkness. Is that what's gleaming green?

It turns out Miss Lastmi's cat's eye.

Slowly his eyes got used to seeing in the dark. Remember Yasa where he is now.

The kostan Jingga.

Where is he now?

Silent mood. Only the sound of crickets could be heard, breaking the silence of the night.

Yasa stood up and walked to the window. A pale white full moon light illuminated his face.

Stomach rumbling. His mouth feels dry. I want to drink, he thought. Rubbing his eyes, he slipped into the dark hallway.

The whole house is silent. Oranges must have gone to sleep, he thought. Without making a sound, Yasa walked down the hallway.

Is the orange out?

Is he sleepwalking again?

Be careful Yasa peeked into that dark room.

The orange stands in the glittering moonlight. She wears a long white sleeveless evening dress.

She saw the girl jerk her head back and laugh loudly.

Why does he look so tall? Yasa asked in his heart, astonished. His eyes glared at the dark room.

Eye trick?

Or am I dreaming?

Suddenly Jingga sensed Yasa's presence and turned around as fast as lightning.

Yasa squinted his eyes.

Under the pale moonlight, Orange's face seemed to turn a very creepy—.

The orange glared at Yasa and laughed. His laughter sounded evil and vile.

Yasa wanted to turn around, but could not.

The girl's gaze seemed to paralyze him.

Freeze it. Restrained it.

So tall…

Why does orange look so high?

It was then seen by Yasa.

Nah! He screamed without a sound, not believing.

Nah!

But what he saw was true.

The orange floated as high as fifteen inches from the floor!

"That's!" Yasa screeched, his voice choking in the throat. He jumped inside and tried to catch the girl's waist.

The body of the orange soared away from him.

Yasa gasped and staggered.

The girl laughed again.

Sssssssssss!

Yasa looked up to hear that voice.

Bu Lastmi's cat stands in the doorway with its paws raised and its back curved high. His dark fur stood upright.

The girl stopped laughing. His facial expression changed. Eyes squinting.

Cat Bu Lastmi hissed again. His his his hissing was sharp and terrifying.

The girl's shoulders bowed forward. His eyes narrowed again. Faintly visible yellowish sparkle from the white part.

Yasa was suffocating slowly, surprised to see a grinning orange, revealing his teeth, and hissing towards Bu Lastmi's cat.

The orange hisses like a star. His voice sounded terrible, not at all resembling a human voice.

Yasa licked his lower lip and gulped with great difficulty. Then sit cross-legged on the floor facing toward the orange.

The girl jerked her head to the side, shooting a sharp glare as the guy stretched his hands to the side then pulled the two of them to the front of the chest. His fingers formed claws that faced each other, then spun in opposite directions. One hand turns down, the other turns up, like someone is opening an invisible jar. His eyes were closed and his mouth was moving.

The girl flinched away from him. His eyes wide. He raised both hands, smothering both ears.

Dark purple patches floated before Yasa's eyes. Gradually the purple patches faded, turning gray.

The mist thinned, and an orange face appeared. Very far at first. Then it gets closer.

Floating towards Yasa was like emerging from the water. His hair expanded around his face, whipping slowly like water ripples. His eyes wide. The girl shouted at him without a sound.

He's possessed! Yasa concluded.

He sleepwalked because he was possessed. The ghost girl tried to pull him into the lake.

The darkness swallowed Yasa.

Sound of flapping.

Yasa did not open his eyes immediately. A strong wind whipped through his face. Then the sound thumped.

Cat Ms Lastmi meows loudly.

Yasa opened his eyes and found an orange lying on the floor.
