"You don't have to hide it from me, Olas." Bethany said as she and Legolas were in her room. Sit facing each other.

"No, I just put him up because he's a kara." Answer Legolas. "Mother always taught me to do good, that's why I'm holding it."

"Is it really like that?" Look at Bethany full of investigation.

"You're the first person who'll know if I want to marry Mom. I'm too young to get married too, I still want to help you a little for my sisters' expenses." Legolas took out an envelope with the money he had prepared and put it on the table in front of Bethany.

"Last month you gave more than half your salary to your father's funeral. Keep it, this month you don't have to give it anymore. You won't have to give it to her again in the months that follow. You better start saving up to go to college or get married." Bethany.

"No ma'am, dad's gone, you're definitely getting harder on your finances. I can still save a little so just take it." Legolas said with a smile.

"A week ago a rich woman made a donation to this orphanage. He lived in Kryvcraz but came all the way here to make donations. In addition to basic necessities, the woman also donated money. So now the needs of the parlors can be met for the next three months."

"that's good ma'am. May God bless her life." Legolas smiled happily. "But you also still have to accept this gift of mine. You've raised me, this is nothing with all the things you did to me."

Bethany was deeply touched by her foster child. Since childhood Legolas has always been nice to anyone. The young man was always thinking of others and was never selfish because the young man had a very gentle heart.

"Thank you very much, Olas." Bethany said she picked up the envelope Legolas gave her. "Olas, don't you want to find out who your parents are?" Ask Bethany.

"I don't think it's necessary. They left me here for a reason, if they remembered me they would've been looking for me." Legolas replied with an occasional bow to avoid Bethany's gaze.

"Do you hate them?"

"No. Most of the reasons parents throw away their children are due to economic factors. They must have done it. It was not their fault, the circumstances that led them to do so. Maybe it's also what keeps them from looking for us until we're big. Or it could turn out they were no longer there because of starvation. I don't hate them."

Bethany smiled at Legolas's reply. Legolas is currently the only child in the orphanage who still comes there every month despite almost 3 years out of the orphanage. Legolas is his best son.

The middle-aged woman stood up and walked towards a closet in the room. He picked up a box that was neither too small nor too big.

"When you came to this parlor, it was with you." Bethany said as she gave Legolas the box.

Legolas opened the box and saw a white handkerchief inside. He picked it up and watched the handkerchief. An inscription is in one corner of the handkerchief, H. Burke.

"It's probably your parents' name." Bethany. "You can find out about your parents, but if you don't want to find out, it's okay. It's all you yourself will decide. I just wanted to give you that."

Legolas became silent looking at the handkerchief in his grasp. The young man became curious about his parents, but if he had to look for them, he felt no need to do so. There was no reason for him to find out about his parents. He just wants to focus on his life now. Even if he met his parents he felt there would be no change in his life, or even he would be a burden to their lives.

"Tonight stay here because it's getting dark." Bethany. "Oh yeah, you usually tell me before you get here, Olas?"

"Because of one thing, my phone broke, ma'am. When I buy a new phone, I'll call you." Answer Legolas.

"Wool!!" The girl named Annie opened the door with several children.

"What's Ann?" Ask Legolas.

"This is bad, Cia climbed a tree to catch a bird. He said he wanted to burn the bird for dinner, I had forbidden it but said he was very hungry, so he ignored my words and he climbed up trying to take the bird. But the bird flew and Cia fell from the tree. Very hard, he grimaced in pain because his hand was injured and bleeding." Annie said at length.

Legolas quickly got out of the room and ran to the park behind the orphanage. Lucia was still under the tree with the children around her shrouding her.

Legolas wears the glove Bethany gave him to cover the elbow of Lucia's bleeding right arm. He did so to hide the color of Lucia's blood, because the girl's blood color was not red but black. That's so that no one realizes it.

"You okay?" Legolas asked as he tried to cover up Lucia's wounds.

"Birds fly. I promised you I wouldn't burn anything, so I wanted to burn it on the stove with Annie." Lucia did not answer Legolas's question. "I'm so hungry but I don't know where you are."

"Olas, why is his blood black?" Ask a 9 year old boy. "Is he a monster?"

"The blood of monsters is green instead of black. It's dark in here so the color of his blood looks black." Legolas replied with a forced smile. "Annie, take everything inside ya."

Annie leads the other children to leave Legolas with Lucia.

"Mom, can you please get me the medicine box?" Legolas asked Bethany who had just come and was still walking at a distance of ten meters.

Legolas takes Lucia to the bathroom to wash the wound on her right elbow to remove the black dirt and blood of the demon girl.

"What hurts?" Look Legolas.

"His pain is losing to my hunger." Answer Lucia. "Olas, I want to eat. Annie said your cooking was great. All this time you've only given me a piece of bread at home."

Legolas sighed. All that was because when Lucia came she had absolutely no money so they only ate bread while at home.

"Well, when I'm home, I'll just cook." Answer Legolas.

"I love you."

"We'd better get home before it gets any night."

"At least eat here before you go home." Call Bethany who came. "This is the medicine box, Olas."

"Thank you, ma'am." Said Legolas receiving the medicine box. "We'll eat later so we can get to midnight, tomorrow morning I still have to work."

"Alright, it looks like you really want to go home." Bethany said with a specific purpose.

Legolas just sighed. He did not want to be in the orphanage for longer for fear that Lucia's identification would be discovered. Lucia could not control her words and always said what was in her head so Lucia could have said that she was a demon to the children on the beach. And that can't happen.
