"We are very grateful madam, after two months you came here with a large donation to this home." Said Bethany who was sitting on the sofa in one of the rooms in the orphanage that she managed.
"No problem. I'll continue to make donations to this parlor." Reply to Edith who was sitting on one of the sofas as well. "Actually this time I came here because there was something I wanted to ask."
"Please madam, if I can I will definitely answer." Bethany smiled in a friendly manner.
With the previous consideration, Edith took out something from her bag. Legolas' handkerchief. He placed it on a table close to where Bethany was sitting.
Bethany, who saw the handkerchief, knew immediately that it was the handkerchief she had given Legolas the last time the young man came to the parlour. Questioningly, Bethany looked at Edith without touching the handkerchief.
"Twenty years ago, a woman was forced to bring her newborn child three days into this home. The woman was forced to do so because she was about to be married off to a noble man in the near future." Edith said with a glaring look to the past. "The woman had to do it because in her escape with the father of the baby ended with the death of the baby's father. The baby's father died the same day the baby was born."
Bethany continued to listen to Edith's story without saying a word, even as the woman in front of her started to tear and paused for a moment to catch her breath. Bethany just looked at Edith waiting for her to complete the story.
"Even we haven't given him a name yet." Edith wiped away the tears on her cheeks. "I was forced to do it because if I took her, the parents of the man I was going to marry would have done something bad to my son because they also hit the man I love, the baby's father."
Bethany walked up to pick up the tissue box and gave it to Edith to wipe away her tears, and returned to her seat again.
"The young man who has this handkerchief, is he that boy? Is he my son?" Edith asked Bethany with a look for Bethany to answer. "Yes, he's my son, when I first saw him from a distance I immediately felt that way. He looks a lot like his father."
"Then what are you gonna do?" Ask Bethany. "Do you want to admit he's your son now? You want him to come back to you?"
"Yes, I want to make amends for all my mistakes."
"He'll hate you." Answer Bethany. "For a long time she assumed that if her parents put her in a parlour because of their economic circumstances that forced her, so when she found out if her mother was a very rich person, she would hate you."
Legolas walks into a Greenville orphanage after leaving the home where his father lives. His mind was filled with questions that made his feelings mixed at this moment.
When he entered the gate of the orphanage, Legolas saw a luxurious car passing out. He could see that the person in the car was Cedric's mother, Edith. But Edith did not see the presence of her biological child because of the sadness is attacking her at this time.
"Where's Cia? Why did you come alone?" Bethany asked as she sat on the couch with Legolas.
"He's gone. I don't have it anymore." Reply Legolas in a flat tone of voice. "So it wasn't Edith Gringger's mistress, ma'am? What's the need for him to come here?"
"She's the woman who donated to this parlor a few months ago." Bethany. "It turns out you know him."
"Yes, she's a good woman. I know his son too. She's lucky to have a good mother like Miss Gringger." Legolas.
"It's the ideal weight of all the men in this country, ma'am." Legolas replied with a smile, but not how long Legolas's countenance changed because he wanted to say what he already knew. "I just met someone ma'am. He lives in Pavyzki."
"Win' to who?"
"The handkerchief's owner." Look Legolas. "It turns out the man died about 20 years ago." Legolas lowered his head.
Bethany did not immediately respond to Legolas' words and was still waiting for the young man to continue his words.
"In that house there were only his parents. To my surprise, the man died before marriage. Even his parents don't know if he has a child." Legolas' voice trembled as he said that.
For a moment Legolas sighed to regulate his emotions so as not to shed tears. He lifted his head immediately and looked at Bethany with a smile he made.
"But that's not a problem for me. Nothing will change for me. I understand why I'm in this orphanage. The woman who is my mother must have lived in agony if she had raised me alone, so inevitably she put me here so she could survive."
"Then do you want to find that woman?"
As Legolas fell silent, he thought about the question in his mind. He felt he had to find his mother now because he thought it was possible that his mother was suffering from a life of deprivation.
"I'll look for him. I want to help her live a better life. Let's just hope he survives and doesn't starve to death." Legolas answered with conviction.
"Then what if it turns out that your biological mother is a person who lives well, even far from enough words? Are you going to accept her, Olas?"
"That's impossible. If he lives well enough he won't throw me away, will he? She must be just a poor woman living in deprivation."
Bethany was confused as to what to say to Legolas. Her birth mother lived well, even better than her. That leads Bethany to abandon her intention to tell Legolas about Edith Gringger, Legolas's birth mother. A woman he even knew.
"Do you know anything about my real mother?" Stare Legolas felt the facial expression that Bethany showed was seen storing something. "From the beginning I noticed something was different about your attitude."
"Olas, find a girl and get married. You have to have your own life so you don't have to come here anymore. And you better focus on your future, you don't have to figure out who your mother is. I know you're alive right now. If you look for your mother and want to help her, you won't be able to meet your needs anymore." Bethany hoped her words would be understood. He did not want Legolas to be disappointed and angry at his life when he found out who his birth mother was.
"That's no problem for me. I'll find a better job or a temporary extra job after finding my real mom, ma'am." Legolas replied with a smile. "You told me to get married, it would also increase my expenses for having to live with my wife later. But you take it easy, I've been thinking about it and intend to get married within the next year. This year is coming to an end, right?"
