59. Apologies

Gideon's eyes instantly flashed. “What did you say?”

Liana raised her head and boldly looked into the cold eyes of the man.

“I told you, he deserves it and it would be much better if his hand really broke.”

“Pull your word,” said Gideon coldly.

Feeling sad and angry at the same time. Liana gripped her blanket tightly.

Gideon looked all over her body, when Liana was just silent. Gideon raised his chin and took a look at Liana's face.

Soon he found an unusual trace of swelling on his cheek. A nail mark was hidden under his hair and nape.

Gideon's gaze turned sharp and cold. It was then that Gideon saw a small tear at the corner of his lips.

Gideon roughly guessed what exactly happened.

The man was very frustrated because Liana did not tell him if he was injured.

“Did he do it? Answer me!” Gideon looked at Liana with piercing eyes.

Liana's stubbornness was at the top. He pushed Gideon's body. “What does this have to do with you?”

“Sial!” Gideon was even more angry. “He grabbed Liana's hand and pulled her into his embrace. “Don't say that. No cry. I was wrong before.”

Their kiss deepened and Gideon let go because now all Liana needed was a break.

Liana lay down and was ready to sleep. But he saw Gideon was leaving.

“Where do you want to go?”

“I'll be gone for a while.”

“You will leave your wife when injured.”

Gideon froze in place while looking at Liana's face fixed.

“No will.”

With that, Gideon lay down beside Liana. Liana smiled as she saw Gideon lying next to her and the woman turned her back to Gideon.

“Do you turn your back on your husband while sleeping?”

“I prefer a position like this. I feel safer,” said Liana.

Gideon who was behind him immediately tightened his embrace.

“I will protect you and make you feel safe.”

The absurd quarrel made Liana tired and she immediately fell asleep.

After covering him with a blanket, Gideon left the room.

Damian wanted to see his mother while in the hallway he passed her father.

“Has mom slept?”

Gideon reached out and gently rubbed Damian's hair.

“She fell asleep. Don't bother. Let him rest.”

Soon that same night Gideon was driving his car through the streets at an above average speed.

He put on his airpods and called someone.

interjected him. “You are too overrated.”
