HH CHAPTER 40 - A Career at Risk
"What happened to your face?" ask Berta because his first question is not answered.
"You tricked me, didn't you? Actually you just want to hitch a ride with Megan and confess I'm her sister" Berta made the assumption he had in his head.
"You better be self-aware, I'll wait until Megan gets home and wait for an explanation from her!"
After saying that, Berta passed into the room.
"Do you want to stay in my rented house until Miss Megan comes back?" bargain Parto is aware that Berta does not like Theo.
Theo shook his head. "Thank you but I'm fine. Soon brother is finished filming, I want to welcome him home!"
"Yes, I'm back at work. Don't forget to take your medicine," Parto said goodbye before returning to the security post.
After Parto's departure, Theo breathed his coarse breath.
He searches for his dead phone, and he turns on it because he wants to contact Megan.
However, when his phone lit up a lot of messages and missed calls from Bhishma.
"What's wrong?" theo muttered.
Finally the young man contacted his friend first, Theo sure there was something important.
"Why your number is not active continues" Bhishma protested as she received a call from Theo. Then the man asked. "Are you okay?"
"If you still need a period of recovery, I'll talk to the chief janitor" he continued.
Theo frowned, why did everyone become as if they knew what he had experienced?
"I can work tomorrow" Theo said later.
"Are you sure? I think your face is still not recovered" said Bisma.
"What is it you are?" Theo finally asks that Bhishma treat him normally.
"I saw the video that was going viral and I'm sure it was you" Bisma explained.
"What viral video?" tanyakanya.
"You're not up to date, '" bisma annoyed while turning off the call.
Bhishma then sent a link to Theo so that the young man could see him.
"Link what is this?" Theo muttered while opening that link. He saw himself singing with the street musicians. "It right?"
"So, you know my condition because of this video?"
There was shame and delight at the same time, shame that Theo had to be seen by so many people with his battered face like that, glad that Megan recognized him.
Even to call Parto to take care of him.
Theo's heart was pounding again, he tried to contact Megan but it was Tia who received her call.
"Theo? Are you okay?" ask Tia.
"Where's brother?" Theo didn't care about the woman's question.
"Megan is filming, she has to focus on memorizing the dialogue and deepening the role so it can't be bothered first" Tia explained.
"Where are you now? Have you seen that video?"
"Yes, what should I do now?" ask Theo for a solution.
"You have to think carefully because Megan's career is at stake, her scandalous gossip with Ruben has not subsided if it is overwritten again with the opening of your marriage, surely Megan will be a public enemy because her image is considered bad," explained Tia.
Theo was speechless at the thought of Tia's explanation, he didn't want Megan's career to be ruined.
"Calm down, this marriage is definitely not going to be open just as we know" Theo replied.
While saying that, Theo held onto her chest due to the pain, she was like a husband not considered. But, it's okay. All for Megan.
