HH CHAPTER 42 - Receive Offer
"It turns out so," Megan muttered as she turned her body.
"But your voice is good" Megan praised her husband's voice. "You've got talent, it's a pity that you're wasted, you don't want to be a janitor forever, do you?"
Theo was silent for a moment then asked his wife. "Don't you mind if I show up in public?"
"Of course it doesn't matter, your mother in the village must be proud of you" Megan said.
"Just life and competition in the entertainment world is very hard, you have to be strong to face everything" he continued.
"But I'm sure you can deal with it. You'll be a success for Theo,"
Megan is encouraging, if she can see the young man succeed and make a career, Megan will be calm to take off Theo.
"You have to start your new life well" Megan said.
After making the call, Theo continued cooking. He processed kale and tempe orek because that was all in the refrigerator.
A terasi aroma wafted inside the apartment that made Berta feel disturbed.
"What's this stinking smell?" the upset.
Berta came out of the room and found Theo who was arranging food on the table.
"Mom's up? I cook tempe orek must be mother likes," said Theo sumringah.
Megan's mother approached and grieved after seeing the young man's cooking.
"You're asking me to eat this?" Berta pushed hard on Theo's cooking. "You think I'm a fowl?"
"It's human mother's food not poultry" Theo replied, shifting back to her Berta-driven cooking. "If you're not hungry yet, I'll close!"
Theo closed his cooking and left Berta instead of hearing the scorn from his mother-in-law.
He wants to go out looking for Parto at the security post and get some air outside while he's off work.
When he arrived at the security post, Parto and other security colleagues were watching a video of Theo that was going viral.
"Is this Theo?" chirps Parto.
"Well, I was going to say that, because he was until a nightclub was shut down by the police after being found out there was a prostitution business," said another colleague.
"This is his son!"
They welcomed the new Theo.
"So it's shameful, viral because it's like that" Theo said.
"Why embarrassed? You're not going viral from a mud bath, cheating with your mother-in-law or crying after a breakup" Parto patted the young man on the shoulder. "I'm proud of you for being a man of principles!"
Theo was comforted after hearing Parto's words.
"You're looking for it" continued Parto's pleasure.
And along with that, Bhishma contacted Theo because the head of hygiene called out to him.
"Am I fired?" ask Theo worried.
"Without anything, you will be given a bonus, your salary at the night club will be replaced by the hotel," explained Bisma.
"really?" Theo felt disbelief.
All flowed just like that, the hotel felt benefited because of indirect promotion from Theo.
That day Theo's identity as a hotel janitor was revealed, the reporters flocked to the hotel where Theo worked, unfortunately the young man did not exist.
"You have to need a manager to handle everything, you want to accept an offer to be invited to a television program?" ask Bisma.
Theo seemed to think, if he accepted for sure he would quickly become a paddy field because it opened his step into the world of entertainment.
"All right, I will" Theo replied later.
