His Purpose

His Purpose
158. A Necklace

Maria did not stop to look worriedly at the wound on Gibran's arm. Just at dinner time the man came home dressed differently than before he left.

Maria who had sensitive feelings was naturally suspicious. He accused Gibran of a no-no, in this case referring to treason. Maria suspects Gibran used to play women and changed his clothes to remove the tracks.

Seeing Mary weeping Gibran sighed with no choice. He unbuttoned the entire shirt and pulled one of his arms out.

There was a bandage wrapped around Gibran's upper arm. Apparently the bullet had scratched his left hand. Gibran deliberately changed clothes because of course he could not wear dirty clothes during work let alone go home.

He also told Nick to take the car to the dump. All Gibran did was not want to make Maria anxious. But now behold, the woman had pias just by looking at the small wound on her arm.

"It's just an ordinary wound, Plum—"

"What habits?!" sergeant Maria stared fiercely. "The blood hasn't dried up yet. Must have been more than this."

"I haven't had time to change the bandage. It's actually dry."

"liks. Let me see."

Gibran prevented Mary's hand. "Don't."

"Why?"

"Don't. You will be disgusted" replied Gibran doubtfully.

He did not dare to look at his own wounds before Mary. He was afraid that seeing the blood next to the woman would trigger another hallucination. Although actually Evan has ensured the trauma of Gibran little by little can be alleviated.

"No disgust." Maria said strangely. Even so, he refused to force. Maybe Gibran is lazy because surely Maria can not justify the bandage back later.

"Eat already?"

Maria shook her head. This made Gibran groan deeply. "Why?" tanyanya.

He glanced at his watch which was almost pointing at the number 8 night. "It's past dinner. Why haven't you eaten yet?"

Gibran always advised Mary to eat on time. They used to eat under nineteen o'clock.

Maria whimpers. Hearing Gibran's snickering side back out onto the surface. Ah, this sucks. He's like a kid. Before it was not like this. Mary is a very quiet person.

"I want to eat with Koko" he said in a trembling voice, his head dodging Gibran.

Seeing this, Gibran immediately took a deep breath. He quickly embraced Mary's nape and kissed her forehead slowly. "Sorry," he whispered softly.

"Let's eat. Papa have you eaten?"

Maria nodded, still with her lips cut down. "That was."

Gibran muttered 'oh'. He allowed and re-buttoned his shirt before taking Maria down to the dining room.

Outside was still bustling by the sound of artisans renovating the gates. They are no ordinary craftsmen. Gibran himself chose it from the bodyguard in a special agency.

"What do you want to eat?"

"I'm not asking that. I asked what do you want to eat?" Gibran ignored Mary's pity.

"Coko can still cook?"

Gibran sighed and glanced at Maria patiently. "Darling .." she said.

"Yes, I want a red chicken."

Gibran grunts amusedly. "Red chicken? You mean charsiu chicken?"

I don't know what makes Maria always call the menu with the name red chicken. It's easier, he said.

"Ck, yes! So cook, right?! Yes, it's cooking!" Mary was long upset that Gibran was always mocking her. He was worried about that man.

"Yes yes, my dear ... Don't be angry, it's not good for the fetus, for you either." Gibran began removing chicken fillets from the refrigerator.

Maria did not respond, she sat looking at the stool directly opposite the table where Gibran was cooking. The man began to prepare various kinds of spices that made Maria dizzy while trying to memorize her name.

Didn't Gibran have any trouble with that much spice? That's grand.

I don't know how many times Gibran cooked for Maria. Maria looked at the man closely. Gibran is a perfect man who can do anything. He was a little surprised when he heard Gibran's story about how he was desperate to take Mary from Gabriel on the wedding day.

"Shop."

"Hm."

"Why did Koko fall in love with me? Love at first sight? Does it really exist? Love comes because it gets used to it. I'm a little less trusting if someone says he fell in love when he first met."

Gibran smiled as he focused on peppering the chicken. Damn, he stuck his own confession. Why did he have to make up that secret story? Obviously Gibran liked Maria because they were together a lot.

"Do I have to explain the process of forming a taste?" cools slowly. "That heart reacts instinctively, Plum. I can't explain it because it's something that can happen naturally. I'm not that smart to explain the science process."

"Yes, anyway," murmured Mary believing.

"It has. Don't think about it because it's heavy. You better eat soon." Gibran thrust a plate containing charsiu chicken that has been sliced thinly into several parts.

A delicious aroma lingered on Maria's nose. He took a small bribe from Gibran and chewed on it feelingly. Maria was satisfied. Gibran cuisine never disappoints.

"Oh yeah, I opened Koko's wallet. There's a necklace. Whose necklace?"

The question made Gibran stop.

"The diamond necklace with a simple design seems to have been launched many years ago." Mary examined Gibran's face closely.

"Say, whose necklace is it? Koko couldn't possibly buy me old school stuff, right? It must have belonged to someone before."

Maria and her suspicions. Gibran actually felt stripped naked at one time by the woman.
