CHAPTER 40. RICHARD'S RETURN

The condition of Mr. Brian who has not yet recovered, makes Richard forced to return to Indonesia after being called by Ronald.

Upon arrival at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Richard returned home with Pak Dani, the driver of Mr. Brian now . Arriving home, Richard was greeted by all the servants. "Sorry, Sir. Excuse me first" said the other friend. They left the room whispering.

After the two nurses left, Mr. Brian looked at Richard. Her tears are flowing.

"Richard, forgive Papa. Papa's been so wrong with you, so is your mother,."

Richard turned his face the other way without answering anything. Too long Richard wanted to hear that from his father's mouth. Richard's heart was frozen. For decades Richard felt heartache and disappointment with his Papa's attitude.

"Papa was a bad father. Also a bad husband. Papa's conscious now. Papa has been deceived by your stepmom. Your father was a fool just realizing it now."

"It won't make Mama rise from the grave, will it? So it means nothing now" replied Richard coldly.

"At least let Papa make amends. Papa's going to divorce Ronald's mother" Brian said.

Richard was silent. It felt like the effort his father had put in meant nothing to him. It's been too long. It's stale for him.

"Ronald's not Papa's son! He's your stepmom's old lover's son. He lied to Papa!"
