If Tomorrow Never Come

If Tomorrow Never Come
Chapter 33. Leave is faster

It felt like Galuh had just fallen asleep a moment ago, when his phone came back ringing aloud. He woke up and opened his eyes, waking up to the blanket that covered his body.

Galuh glanced at the clock on the wall of his room, twelve o'clock at night. For a moment, Galuh sat silent while closing his eyes trying to expel the dizziness that suddenly came attacking. Waking up instantly makes the head feel swirling.

His phone went off again, this time longer and longer because Galuh had not yet moved from his place. After his sense of dizziness was reduced, Galuh rushed to reach for his phone which was on the nightstand.

“Sabar uh, who the hell calls night-night like gini. Don't know what, people rest!” rutuk Galuh was upset, then read the name listed on the screen of his phone.

Rika? His forehead immediately wrinkled and his heart pounded hard at once while reading the name of his sister listed there.

“Yes, ding. Tumben night-night call?” Galuh dragged his steps back sitting on his bed, leaning his head on the large pillow behind his back.

“Kak, our house parak collapsed ai! Overnight rain sing darasan kada ampih until this wayah, kada pang flood but wind kancang up the roof of the house umpat tabongkar jua.” (Sir, our house almost collapsed, all night the heavy rain did not stop until now. Not until the flood, but strong winds make the roof of the house to be dismantled)

“Astagfirullah!” Galuh straightened his back, surprised to hear from his sister. He remembered his mother who only lived alone with his sister, “Mama kayak what is the habit, ding. ?” (How's it going, deck?)

“Mama is good, by ai. Takajut also saw the tabalangkir house. This we evacuate to the container uncle Hardi, said sidin isuk handak through the house amun kada rain again.” (Mama is good, brother. Surprised to see the house in disarray. We are now displaced at Uncle Hardi's house, he said tomorrow he would like to see the house if it does not rain anymore)

“Sya, ding. Amun kadada hitch insya Allah isuk brother bulik, face it.” Galuh immediately decided to go home tomorrow morning, the shadow of the face of his mother and family in the village immediately filled his mind. (Yes, deck. If there is no obstruction insha Allah tomorrow brother comes home, wait yes)

Galuh put his cell phone on the table with trembling hands, still not fully believing the news he had just received from his sister Rika in the village.

Although not only this time such an incident occurred in his village when entering the rainy season. Rainfall with high intensity accompanied by strong winds often occurs in his village, which most of the population lives on the banks of the river.

Not only flying the roof of the house, but also destroying other parts of the house. And this time Galuh's house was his victim.

That night, Galuh immediately prepared his suitcase to go home to his village early in the morning. All he had in mind at that time was the safety of his family, so he forgot to contact Reza and tell him.

Throughout the rest of the time until dawn, Galuh continued to contact Rika and tried to speak directly to her mother who seemed still shocked and not okay.

“Luh, bulik want to. Obey your opponent mama here,” pinta mama with a sad face, making Galuh only able to nod and not be able to speak anymore. (Luh, go home, son. Look at your mom and sister here)

Only tears alone represent Galuh's feelings at that time when he saw the state of his mother who was very hopeful of his return. “God willing, Galuh isuk bulik Ma lah.” (God willing, Galuh come home tomorrow Ma)

“Belawas kalah, we should look at the houses. Amun kawa fixed, directly just let us fix.” (For a long time here, son, we will all see the house. If it can be fixed, we can fix it immediately)

“Sign Ma ai, we need to find a handyman. Mama rest, don't guring.” Galuh continued to agree to the request of his mother, hoping that the dear woman could forget a little sadness due to the disaster that had just happened to him. (Yes Ma, we'll find a handyman. Mama rest, don't let her sleep)

The conversation that night ended, as the rain that seemed to have started to subside there. Once he saw mama asleep while sitting in the living room chair of his uncle's house, because he did not want to rest in the room.

Galuh also sent a message to Mr. Silo to ask for permission for his work leave for one week which has been approved by the admin to be advanced faster because of urgent business. Galuh recounted the disaster his family had experienced in the village, and he had to go home immediately to see firsthand the condition of his mother.

Early in the morning Galuh departs with a regular motorcycle taxi in front of his alley to the airport, buying the earliest flight tickets to get to his city faster.

Exactly at nine in the morning, Galuh had arrived in his city and was now booking a bus ticket to get to his hometown which traveled approximately one hour.

While the faithful Reza took Galuh's work daily to his house, he was made to be confused when he came there and did not find the woman there. Especially when hearing from the next door neighbor who said Galuh out of the house early in the morning with a large suitcase with him.

“What Galuh didn't say anything, Mom. Send a message or what?” reza asked with an unwilling heart, because he repeatedly contacted the woman but did not get an answer.

“Nothing, Mas. Mbak Galuh looks rushed and like crying,” is obviously Galuh's neighbor.

The deg!

“Ya already then, Mom. Thanks for the information,” replied Reza while nodding her head, then rushed back to her car.

“Honey, where are you. Pick up my phone, don't worry me!” Reza again tried to contact Galuh again, but nil.

Aargh! Reza clenched his head against the back of the chair behind him, and without realizing it fresh blood slowly came out of his nose again and dripped on his lips. Reza flinched and straightened up and breathed through her mouth.

“Quiet, Za. Relax, no stress!” reza said in his heart, and slowly he was able to overcome it. Feeling quite calm, Reza drove his car to the mall to meet Luna, hoping that Galuh's best friend knew the news about the woman.

And the news he heard made Reza frown. He returned home early without waiting for him. “Is there a problem with his family, until it has to be sudden like that?”

“I don't know, Mas. But according to Mr. Silo, Galuh asked for his leave which should be the beginning of the month advanced now. Urgent said,” bright Luna.

"Hem, he remembered Mr. Silo but forgot to tell him his own fiancee!"

“So Galuh said same sir Silo, and that means Mr Silo know the reason Galuh left? Then I'll meet Silo right away. Thanks for the info, Luna.”

“Sama-sama, Mas.”

In that instant Reza immediately contacted Silo and asked the man to meet him in his study. And it didn't take long, the important info was already in his hands. That afternoon, Reza immediately contacted Danil and asked him to take him to the airport.
