If Tomorrow Never Come

If Tomorrow Never Come
Chapter 62. Critical oma

Reza escorted the return of doctor Rendra to his doorstep, they talked for a moment before the man with minus eyes moved into his car.

“Jaga is good content of your wife, do not let her stress and fatigue because it will greatly affect her pregnancy. Try for now, do not travel far.” Doctor Rendra's message.

Reza nodded, then shook the hand of Dr. Rendra. “I understand, I will take good care of my wife. Thank you.”

Doctor Rendra smiled and shook Reza's hand back, the man's face in front of him looked tense. “You should also keep your own health. These last two months you've rarely been in health control. Even if you feel you're healthy, you still have to do it Za.”

Reza sighed, smiling thinly at doctor Rendra. “Two months ago I feel myself very healthy, and I don't feel those complaints anymore.”

“But I have to keep reminding you,” reply doctor Rendra.

“I'll remember everything you said, Doctor. Again, thank you.”

Reza rushed back to his room to get ready. In the doorway he paused for a moment, seeing Galuh sitting on a bowed bed covering his face.

“Yank,” call Reza, with vibrating sound.

Galuh lowered her hands, her face lifted up to look at Reza for a long time and then jumped down from the bed not heeding Reza's warning screams at her and immediately rushed to embrace her husband's body.

“Yank! Do you realize what you did just now?!”

“I am very worried about the state of oma and papa,” he said with teary eyes. “I'm afraid ..”

Reza shook her head strongly, “They both will be fine.”

Reza kissed Galuh's forehead, and rubbed his hair. The woman tightened her embrace and buried her face in Reza's chest.

“Yank.” Reza cupped Galuh's face, rubbing the corners of her watery eyes. “I have to go this afternoon also to see the state of oma and papa. You must stay home, wait for news from me and do not do anything that will endanger your pregnancy.”

Galuh nodded, “I know it.”

Reza smiled, he dyed those wet eyes. “I need to get ready soon.”

Reza released Galuh's embrace on his body, he twisted his body and walked out about to pick up his suitcase.

“I'm coming!” Galuh blocked Reza's arm, blocking his steps to stay in their room. I am sure she will be fine with her husband.

Reza stopped his steps, staring at Galuh for a moment. He was unlikely to harm his wife's health, leaving her exhausted from travelling long distances while she was pregnant with their future baby.

It's not their honeymoon trip, Reza doesn't want anything to happen with Galuh and his contents. “You are not well, and the doctor forbids you to travel far at this time. I don't want you to be exhausted. It would be very risky for your gynecological health, yank.”

Reza held Galuh's waist, his thumb rubbing the flat side of his stomach. His eyes suddenly warmed, there was a prospective child who was now residing there.

“I feel very healthy now.” Galuh assured Reza, he could not imagine they had to be far apart at this time. Reza had to be on the side of oma and papa, while she had to wait at home and fret for news from her husband. “We will be fine as long as we are together.”

A few hours later they arrived at the airport. It feels like time is running slow, Reza is very worried and can not wait to see you soon and see the state of papa and his oma.

“Abang.” Galuh clasped Reza's fingers tightly, she understood the anxiety of her husband at this time.

Reza looked at the hand that tightly grasped his fingers and then turned to look at Galuh's face, the woman smiled gently at him. He took her to his lips and kissed her for a long time. “You know, I love you so much.”

“I know very well,” reply Galuh while nodding his head.

Galuh was relieved to see the doctor coming to them both. Papa and oma were placed in different rooms. Papa's condition is much better than oma. When Galuh and Reza came to see, papa was asleep after the doctor gave him medicine.

When the accident occurred, papa sat in the back seat while the oma was right on the left side of the driver. The front tyre to the left skid and hit the road divider. The driver could not control his car, the impact was very violent and the car was dragged far enough, circling around before it was finally overturned. There were no casualties at the time, as a car passed near them and immediately helped.

“There are no serious injuries on the outer body parts of your parents, but we will continue to monitor the health of Mr. Mahendra.” Said the doctor who handled papa.

“Do your best for my papa, doctor.” Reza said as he continued to look at his papa.

The doctor nodded, they moved the room to see the state of the oma. Galuh continued to hold Reza's hand, he felt an unusual fear while in front of the door of the room the oma treated.

The doctor opened the door slowly, inside there was a nurse who had just finished installing the infusion. He spoke to the doctor for a moment before saying goodbye to the room.

The doctor said something to Reza, and the man nodded. Reza held Galuh's hand, walking closer to her eyes while the doctor stood by the door watching.

The heart seems to stop beating as soon as you see the state of oma. Reza took off his hand and lowered his body, he kissed the cheeks of the oma and rubbed the fingers of the oma on his side.

Silence, stand a little away from the two. Letting Reza first look and talk to her omens before the man gives her time and walks over to the doctor again.

Oma looks so fragile with infusion hoses attached to her body. Oma was still half conscious but was awake for quite a while when it was Galuh's turn to come closer and kiss her pale cheeks.

“How are you,” Galuh asked with a smile, half dead holding back his tears.

Oma smiled and clasped Galuh's hand tightly, “Oma was happy to see you coming, Oma thought she would never see you again.”

Turning his face to hide his tears, he saw Reza talking to the doctor beside the check table while occasionally looking at him and the oma.

For a moment their gazes met, Galuh could see sadness emanating on the look of that handsome face. But Reza kept trying to look calm, he smiled and nodded at her.

“Oma don't talk like that. Oma must be healthy again and we will be together again.” Galuh whispered in oma's ear, and the woman blinked her watery eyes.

“Happy darling, Oma is happy to hear that. Take good care of great-grandson Oma.” Oma rubbed Galuh's stomach, her lips twitching without a sound.

Oma fell asleep soon after, Galuh sat with her for a while. The doctor who was with them also said goodbye because he had to see other patients.

“I want to find food first below. What do you want to eat, yank. I saw from this afternoon You haven't eaten?” Reza hugged Galuh's shoulder, the woman continued to hold the hand of oma.

“Bread only, I no longer want to eat rice.” Galuh.

“Yes, wait a minute. I won't be long,” said Reza and then pecked at Galuh's head.

“Be careful, Bang.”

Galuh turned his face, looked for a moment at Reza who walked out of the room and closed the door behind him again.

Not long ago, it was still a matter of minutes Galuh felt the hand in his grip tighten. Shortly afterwards there was the sound of breathing like a choking person. Galuh gasped to realize oma opened her eyes wide and the breath in her chest was wheezing.

“Oma!” oma's hand grip tightened, Galuh panicked but could still think fast. He immediately pressed the button on the head of the oma and soon heard the sound of footsteps running nearby.
