If Tomorrow Never Come

If Tomorrow Never Come
Chapter 49. She's my only one

That afternoon they spent time together at the beach, running around chasing each other. A happy smile was clearly drawn on the faces of the two. Reza occasionally steals a kiss on Galuh's cheek as she turns her back, standing on a beach foot.

“Hey, steal a chance yes!” Galuh turned his face, mendelik pretended to be angry. Reza chuckled at her, hugging Galuh from behind and leaning her chin on the woman's neck.

“Back yuk, yank. It's been a really late afternoon, later at home.” Take Reza, he lifted his face and then summarized Galuh's shoulders and took her along.

Galuh nodded, he hugged Reza's waist back. Next to her hand grabbed the fingers of the man who was hugging his shoulders and linking them there.

Reza smiled happily, on the sidelines of his steps he kissed the top of Galuh's head and linger there. “Your hair is fragrant, yank. Hem,” whispered Reza hoarse.

Galuh looking up, “Abang likes?”

“Hem.”

Galuh chuckled, he tightened his embrace at Reza's waist. His head was now right in the chest of the man, Galuh could feel Reza's heartbeat beating fast. Galuh slowly pulled himself, he stepped back while rolling his eyes in a seductive style.

“Ish, yank!”

Galuh laughed, he turned around and ran away leaving Reza behind him who shouted to him. In front of a long bench not far from Reza's car, Galuh stopped his steps. He lowered his head and grabbed his shoes which he placed near the foot of the chair and put them back on.

Reza stopped his steps, staring at Galuh's beautiful face full of cheerful smiles. It seemed like this was the perfect time for her to re-expose her greatest wish all along to the woman.

“Yank.” Reza slowly walked closer, turning Galuh's body to face her. He looked into the woman's eyes. “See and listen to me carefully this time.”

Galuh according, he smiled nodding. His gaze was now fixed on the face of the man before him. Instantly her forehead wrinkled, and her hands stretched out just like that to feel Reza's forehead and neck. “Kok, Brother's face is pale. Sick brother?”

Reza shook his head, ignored Galuh's words and clasped the woman's hand and brought her to his lips. His eyes continued to look at Galuh seriously, making the woman blush and bow her face.

“I have to tell you this again, and I don't want to put it off again. Every moment of every second, I think of you all the time.”

“A-a-pa who you want to tell me?” galuh said looking nervous, his heartbeat racing faster.

“You know how I feel about you, don't you?”

Galuh nodded slowly, “A-I know.”

“I love you, love you so much. And I mean it with my words, yank. I'm sure you have the same feelings as me. That's why I'm asking you to marry me.”

The deg!

“This is the second time I asked you to marry me. I hope this time you will fulfill my request.” Reza held Galuh's hand.

Galuh was silent for a while, he was so surprised to hear the man's proposal to him that he could not say anything. He stood before Reza, until a fine touch on the skin of his arm resuscitated him.

“I don't know what to say,” Galuh said in the end, he turned his face to look at the dim sky.

“Say yes as the answer, that's what I want to hear from you.”

Galuh looked at the handsome face in front of him, who was waiting for his answer. “Why Brother seems to be in a hurry to get married, do not we have to just live our relationship first until we are really ready to get married.”

Reza sighed, “At first I didn't believe there was love at first sight, until I experienced it myself. I fell in love with you the first time I saw you standing under the torrent of rain, and turned down my offer to drive you home.”

“Although I tried to deny it, still the feeling was stronger to hold on to this heart. Just by looking at you back then, I already knew that you were the woman who would accompany my life to be my wife someday.”

“I need time to answer it,” Galuh said.

“I fulfilled your request back then, when you asked for time to answer my application. This time too if you ask for the same thing again, I'll give you some more time. But promise me, after this afternoon you'll think about it. Rest assured that I really seriously want to marry you.”

Awkwardly, that's what Galuh felt when he was in Reza's car on the way home, he was more silent and kept staring at the side of the window. While Reza tried to act ordinary, and occasionally turned to Galuh.

“Yank,” call it soft, it is trying to find a way to melt the atmosphere.

The tip of his finger was deliberately close to Galuh's face. When the woman turned to him, her fingertips hit Galuh's nose making the woman frown while rubbing the shoots of her nose.

“Currently, right?” grumbling Galuh while blasting his lips.

Reza grimaces, “Your neck can hurt if you keep looking outwards, yank.”

“The view is good, a pity to miss.” Galuh reasoned.

Reza laughed to hear it, “It wasn't that we've been through this road before, and you weren't interested in seeing it earlier.”

“Ya is only now paying attention,” Galuh said again, “Ish, why did you become rese so anyway!”

Galuh pout, folding hands on the chest. His gaze was now fixed on the straight road in front of him. Reza smiled at him, then turned the car stereo and chose one of his favorite songs while glancing at Galuh who was sitting next to him.

If tomorrow never comes, will she know how much I loved her

Did I try in every way to show her every day, that she’s my only one

And if my time on earth were through, and she must face this world without me

Is the love I gave her in the past, gonna be enough to last

That she’s my only one

If there is never a tomorrow, she will know how much I love her

What I do in various ways is to show her every day that she's the only one

And if my time in this world has run out, and he has to face this world without me

Whether the love I gave her in the past, will continue to be quite eternal

That he was the only one

The car drove quietly, just like the atmosphere in the car. Galuh fell silent to enjoy the melodious song that Reza deliberately played for him. He knew what the song meant to Reza at this time, the man wanted to express his heart through the song he played.

“You know, this is my favorite song since long ago.” Reza pulled his car over on the side of the road, tilted his body and spoke seriously again to Galuh.

“I do not want to experience the same regrets as the story in this song, the loss of tomorrow and the opportunity to express my feelings of love to the person he loves.”

“I want to say it every day, how it means to me. How great is my love for you, that you are the only love of my life. Marry me, Galuh Nanda.”
