If Tomorrow Never Come
Chapter 7. Curious

Galuh already looks neat with her work clothes, but had to postpone his departure because the phone from his mother told him that they had arrived at the airport and were now waiting for a taxi that would take them to his home.

“You guys are leaving first, ntar I'm following you when mom gets here.” Galuh said to two colleagues who were sitting waiting on the porch of the house.

“New also one hour, still old Luh. Let us wait, all acquaintances with your family.” Luna put her bag on the table, then sat down parallel to Meldy who was playing the game on her phone.

“Lo is actually waiting for souvenirs or really want to know the Galuh family?” meldy asked, without taking her eyes off the phone in her hand.

Luna throttled, tilting her body towards Meldy. The tip of his index finger moved to push the shoulder of his best friend.

“Ish, it's not good to know how prejudiced is like your own friend. Seriously, I want to know his family Galuh.” Luna put on a serious face, “Ya, if the souvenirs are also consider it a bonus for me.” Luna grinned.

“Mode!” reply Meldy quickly.

Galuh held a smile at the words of his two best friends. His eyes glanced at the tiny watch in his right hand. It's been almost an hour waiting, but the awaited ones haven't come yet either. Galuh picked up her phone and brought it closer to her ear, intending to contact her mother again.

Not long after, there was a roar of cars approaching and a black car was seen stopping right in front of the fence Galuh house. Luna elbowed Meldy's arm which immediately raised her face, while Galuh immediately rushed out and opened the fence of her house.

The driver got out of the car and opened the door behind him, then spoke for a moment before opening the trunk and lowering the suitcase as well as several boxes of cardboard from inside. One by one, four passengers consisting of his mother, grandmother, and two younger sisters went down, and Galuh immediately kissed the backs of their hands.

“Congratulations! Hands up Grandma, son. Drunk pinanya, a long way to the street bada tedangar besuara (it seems drunk, because the whole trip does not sound to talk).” His mother told Galuh to lead his grandmother's hand, who looked weak from motion sickness, while his mother helped him hold her right arm.

“That's it, ikam kah it (you are it)?” asked his grandmother to look at Galuh.

“Inggih Nek ai (iya Nek). Strengthen the trunk to the house?” tanya Galuh, who was immediately taken by her grandmother.

“Kada hold be-AC if the mama (cannot stand the Mama's AC), so mabok. Nausea jar!” timpal acil Tati, the sister of his mother gave an excuse.

“Cold banar pang, until the feeling of hand freeze (so cold, until the hand feels frozen).” Galuh's grandmother showed her pale yellowish hands.

“Haoww, why do you beat your driver (why not say the same driver)?” I asked her back to ask her grandmother.

“Kada knows pang, thought we were reprimanded. Pina looks comfortable, kada yunya mabok (Do not know, we think just sleep. Looks comfortable, not yearya mabok).” Said acil Mitha, the sister of Galuh's other mother.

Luna and Meldy who were standing waiting on the porch of the house, just dumbfounded to hear the conversation Galuh and his family who use the language of his native region. The two of them just smiled, nodded their heads and joined hands to introduce themselves, without even understanding what Galuh and his family were talking about.

After taking his family to rest in his room, his mother told him to go to work immediately. They all said goodbye and left the house with a bright smile as mother gave Luna and Meldy each a large plastic bag of souvenirs typical of the area she was carrying.

In the angkot that led them to work, Galuh apologized to Luna and Meldy for remembering that his two friends were just dumbstruck when they gathered and talked with his family.

“We are all used to use the language of the area when gathered like before, sometimes forget that there are others who do not understand the language we use.”

“Asli I don't know what you guys were talking about. Ngerti means little doang but can not say it,” said Meldy who was greeted with laughter by Luna.

“Same, Mel. I also talked about doingang from earlier. But seriously, grandma Lo can not talk Indo so?” ask Luna curiously.

“Can Lun, but dikit doang. Not surfing if he speaks in regional language,” explained Galuh. “Especially our home environment there all if you speak the same language, you will be confused about which one of the original banjar people is not.”

“Seru is like, so want to go there.”

“Inget! Next month Lo was back in the village,” said Luna reminded, making Meldy's face immediately turned sad.

“Udah don't be sad. Prayer’in deh I get more sustenance, Inshaa Allah before you return to your village, we will take a walk first to my village.”

“Tooh!” Meldy immediately hugged Galuh, “So more sad, there will be many memories that occur later with all of you, and it makes me more unwilling to separate with the two of you.” Without feeling the corner of his eyes water, and his voice sounded trembling as he tried to hold back his cries. And that caught the attention of other passengers in the car.

“Hey, Galuh plan right before Lo go home Mel village. Anyway, Lo has not met the male candidate Lo, has not spoken advice from the two of us. Well, let him give Lo permission to keep working, as long as Lo talks well and the reason that Lo ajin right, I'm sure the Zaki will agree!” Luna encourages Meldy, although she is actually also sad because her best friend is getting married soon and will most likely rarely get together with them again.

“Sstt, don't be sad keep ya. Not nice to see other passengers, ntar thought we were making a cry You Mel,” said Galuh glanced at the passengers in front of them, who frowned when he heard the tone of Meldy's voice like crying.

Meldy wiped the corner of her watery eyes, she straightened up and put on her smile. His hands grabbed his best friend's hands and clasped them tightly. “Whatever happens to me later, I hope the friendship between us is maintained intact. We must continue to maintain communication even though I may not be able to be with you guys continue later.”

Luna and Galuh held Meldy's hand back. When he arrived at his destination, the three rushed down. For a moment Meldy stood looking around the mall, closing his eyes trying to record all his memories with his two friends in that place.

At the entrance, when he was about to go to the second floor escalator, the third passed by Mr. Susilo who was walking hurriedly like he was about to meet someone. “Siang, Sir.” Say hello to them together, but only answered with a nod of the head without even turning to them.

“Tumben, usually comments. This is just a plate,” said Luna curious, then turned her body to look at the back of her superior who stopped right in front of the door of her study. There was a man standing there waiting for a young man wearing a hoody jacket and mask to cover his face.

He saw Mr. Susilo bowing his body in front of the young man who lowered his face mask, and before he could see her face Meldy had pulled her arm and led her away to the locker door where they changed into work clothes.
