Oh my... Rey looked at the next room to see Kikan, who was sitting at the table next to Eva. When the woman refused and looked at him, Rey snuggled back to the wall. "Your mother didn't kill Lori on purpose, Jas. Via took the steering wheel."

" I know it, and Papa knows it too. But. I have a feeling he won't admit it. And it looks like he's coming to town. If that happens, it will all be crazy again.everyone will hate Mom, no matter what we say. I'm afraid they'll make Mom's life very miserable and she won't continue living here."

Rey herself has been trying to find Via on Facebook, hoping to get the woman to tell her the truth. Last night, when he was about to sleep, he even considered hiring the services of a private detective to clear Kikan's name. But if Lori's family had found the via and brought her to town, she doubted the woman would have said the things she wanted to hear. "When?" ask Rey.

" He didn't say, or I might not have heard. Tristan quickly told me to get out of there so Logan and I wouldn't fight."

" You guys are getting a storm?"

" Mainly me. I told him not to bother my mother anymore. But he won't listen. It's really unfair."

Rey rubbed her face with her hands. Trying to think what she was going to do now?

" Father?"

" Don't worry." Rey said." Go on vacation and have fun. I'm with your mother here. Nothing's gonna happen to her."

" Will he be there all weekend?" ask Jason.

" Yes."

" okay. I'm afraid to leave if Via shows up, and we're not here when that happens."

" I'll handle it, like I said. Everything will be fine," Rey insisted, but remained agitated after hanging up the phone.

As soon as Rey put the phone on, Kikan walked over to the breakfast table to get the juice he had forgotten. He wanted to talk to Jason, hoping the boy would ask him. Apparently not. "Is everything okay?" he asked when Rey started filling the dishes.

Rey nodded but did not seem as happy as before when getting out of the room for breakfast. "Yes. Jason's on his way to town X."

" Is he happy?"

" It seems so. He can't talk for long. They're all in the car."

That makes sense, but there seems to be something that has brought about dark clouds. "She just wants to tell you, then?" ask Kikan.

" He wants to make sure you've arrived safely."

Kikan smiled broadly, remembering how often Jason urged him to attend this party. "He's the one who made me come here."

" He is a true supporter. I don't know anyone who can do it like Jason."

" so.... What time do we get home?" ask Kikan.

" We're not going home." Rey elbowed Kikan, but his cheerful attitude was not proper before. "Not today. You've been stuck in this place all weekend, so I hope you're ready to have fun in the hot sun."

Kikan slowed down the sound. "I don't even have a swimsuit. I came here without a plan. I'm really not ready."

" I should have bought you. We'll buy it when we get home."

" I'll buy it myself..." Kikan starts to argue, but Rey stops him.

" For now, let's see if Eva and Kelly have backup."

Kikan's body size is smaller than Rey's female friends. But Kikan thought he could still enter the lake in his own clothes. Given the scars on his body, for him it was a better choice.

" You're okay to stay here longer, right?" ask Rey.

Kikan's heart almost jumped out when he heard Rey's words. He wouldn't complain if he had to spend another night with Rey. "I'm fine."

" Thanks." Rey touches Kikan's chin when giving him a brief kiss. "It's a perfect birthday" Rey said.

But if that's the case, why does Rey look like?

Kikan sat on the deck of the house with Rey and some of his friends. Music plays out in the background, while Nanda who once fixed Kikan's bike joins them and serves a small meal. Some of them went into the cold water.

Kelly has lent her a beautiful bikini that's not too big. Kikan wearing Rey's shirt on it, Kikan is not ready to let Rey's friends see the scars. He had already caught their attention last night, suddenly appearing at the party as an uninvited guest. Now Rey's official dating partner is gone and almost all of her friends suspect Rey isn't sleeping in her own room. Every now and then, Kikan catches Rey stealing glances at him. Even if they were just a few meters away.

" You're so quiet." Said Rey who just came back from picking up chips.

" I'm just enjoying the sun," but he's actually enjoying more than that, he's happy to see the man throw a smile at him and has made Kikan's stomach turn upside down. Kikan feels alive in a dream world, with Rey like this, especially by relaxing on weekends in the cottage and Rey's gardens are so kind. They are a group that Kikan admired when he was in High School, although he tried to pretend not to envy them.

" So you're happy here?" ask Rey

Kikan.

Kikan was very happy. It felt like just when determined to abstain from doing s**s for two or three more years, he actually found the most beautiful night of his life, and it was through with Jason's father. But he had to be careful to ask when all this would end. Her relationship with Jason is almost entirely up to Rey, however if rey decides to have Kikan, or when something else goes wrong with her relationship, Kikan hopes to still find Jason behaving similarly, and it never changes.

But they have not returned to their small town. Why ruin these few days by worrying about the future?

Rey invites Kikan to get closer towards the Lake but Kikan refuses subtly.

When Rey was away "It's a beautiful place to escape," Kikan said in a soft voice.

Levi's husband from Kelly, hearing Kikan's words. He sat up straight in the chair and removed the sunglasses. "I hope you're enjoying your time here. People will always talk. That's how life is, don't let it bother you. I can assure you that everyone here has good intentions."

Kikan looked around to see if anyone had heard the answer. Thankfully Kelly's wife Levi was in the kitchen, "I appreciate that. Really am. But I understand Rey's friends and you're Rey's friends too, you're afraid she's making a mistake from connecting with me again. I can't blame you guys."

" If he cares and believes in you, there's a reason for that" Levi said

" He's better off without me" Kikan said solemnly. "So are you guys."

"Because.." asked Levi.

"Friendship with me will set you up against everyone else in town.

" If that's the risk, so be it. But why don't you just let us worry about what we should be doing or not?"Levi stood up and looked to the side.

" Hey, let's jump in" exclaimed Brandon as soon as he saw Levi. "It's so much fun!"

Levi turned to Kikan and gestured to the water. "You?"

Kikan felt that Levi was challenging him 'be yourself' and realized how vain it was to hide something, Kikan had gone through difficulties even though he did not deserve it, because Kikan got confidence. He will let people think anything about his past.

After nodding Kikan stood up and took off the shirt.

He felt the man's gaze fall to the grate on his stomach, then the man smiled as if no one would care about the scar, and the two of them began to plunge into the lake.
