I Thought You were a Good Woman

Alula had just come out of the lecturer room she was assistant to. Today, Alula was dismissed from her job as a teaching assistant due to her current problems. The lecturer dismissed Alula as his assistant, because he was worried that Alula had a bad impact on his students and students. Especially if Alula forced to teach, it was feared he would be bullied by students.

"I guess it's Cleon's house, indeed" Alula got out of the taxi and stared at a large, European-style gotic house in front of her.

Alula knows Cleon's home address from Chelsea, as Chelsea was Cleon's ex-courer friend during High School.

"Cleon?" call Alula when she sees Cleon just getting out of the car in her yard.

Apparently Cleon had just returned home, having calmed his heart and mind in his apartment.

Cleon looked over then looked at Alula with a cold look. He threw away his face and rushed to get inside the house.

"Cleon, wait !!" Alula ran over to Cleon who was about to enter the house.

"What's wrong?" Cleon clucked in annoyance.

"Cleon, I'm here to explain why I didn't come that night" Alula touched Cleon's arm with her fingers.

Cleon throws Alula's hand rough.

"You still have a face to see me?" Cleon asked with a kettle.

"What else do you have to explain? Your future husband has confirmed everything !!!" Cleon shouted to Alula.

"That's not what you imagined, i-" Alula's eyes seemed to be flushed red withholding tears.

"That's it!! There's nothing you need to explain. You're a cheap woman, indeed" Cleon was about to go back inside his house.

"Cleon, please don't be like this!" Alula held Cleon's hand back.

"Please don't act like this to me !! Never give false hope to me !!" Cleon slammed Alula's hand violently again.

"Did you know? That night I will express my feelings for you. I hired that restaurant to show you my whole heart. I have loved you for six years. That night I looked for you in every corner of Birmingham until the early hours of the morning, but that night you slept with a man whom I hated a long time ago. I thought you were a good woman, but it turns out I was fooled by your innocent face and manner."

"In an instant you inflict a deep wound on my heart. Please, don't ever see me again" Cleon went straight into his house.

Alula stared at Cleon's departure with a torn heart.

"Cleon? Do you know what? I like you too..."

Alula seemed to be unable to hold back her tears anymore. He crouched down and covered his face with both hands. Alula sobbed in the courtyard of Cleon's house.

Cleon saw that heartbreaking sight from inside his room that was upstairs. Her eyes looked reddened seeing Alula crying like that. His little heart told Cleon to come down and clench Alula's body tightly. However, logic and anger dominate him. Cleon finally closed the window of his room.

Alula walks like she has no purpose in life. Tears kept flowing from both corners of her eyes. If only that night he reached the restaurant, of course Alula and Cleon were now a happy couple. Alula will not lose her job, nor will she need to marry the man she hates.

"Come in!" Kai opens the door for Alula.

"Do you want what?" Alula dried her tears.

"I said get in !!" Kai shouted.

Kai approached towards Alula and pulled Alula's hand roughly. Then Kai forced Alula into his car.

"Where are you taking me?" Alula asked Kai who started driving.

"I want to talk about our marriage !!"

"Wedding? You think I'm gonna marry you?"

Kai slammed the steering wheel to the left and pulled over his car on the side of the road which was quite quiet and quiet.

"Listen to me carefully !!! If I hadn't helped you that night, I probably wouldn't be in this complex of trouble right now" Kai looked at Alula sharply.

"I shouldn't have helped you that night and let your old bastard girlfriend harass you !!" keep Kai furious.

"So you blame me for what happened?"

"Yes, of course it's all your fault. Really, I wouldn't marry a weird girl like you if I didn't have to. Just so you know you're not my type at all. I did it because my name and my company are on edge" he continued.

"I don't care about it all," Alula rolled her eyes.

"The marriage is also to clear your name. Just do it so that your parents are free from embarrassment. And you have to remember, this is because of you."

Alula also felt disturbed by Kai's words. He thought back to his parents, especially when Halbert and Ainsley said that his friends judged them as parents who could not properly educate Alula.

"I will marry you only until our case disappears and the British public forgets. I'll marry you in 7 months. After that, I'll divorce you" Kai said.

"Isn't that the same as us playing with marriage?" Alula frowned in wonder.

"I really don't care. After all, we're not getting married for love, after seven months I'm going to divorce you and go back to my lover" Kai replied.

"All right, I agree. After seven months you should completely divorce me," Alula agreed as she also needed to clear her name and there was no choice for her at this time.

"Well, in the afternoon my parents will be at your house to talk about our marriage, now get out of my car !!" kai's orders.

"You crazy? The road is very quiet, I'm afraid there are bad people" cried Alula.

"This road is passed by a taxi, you can take a taxi. Hurry down !!"

Alula was silent in her seat. Kai began to lose his patience. He got out of his car and opened the door where Alula was sitting. Kai pulls Alula out of his car.

"Hey, at least I hitchhiked into your car until the front," Alula shouted.

"I don't want to linger with a girl like you" Kai got back into his car and drove away from Alula.
