Madaharsa

Madaharsa
Chapters 16. Farewell.

"Thank you for this lovely dinner, Mada," Binar said as soon as they finished eating. A sweet smile was imprinted on Binar's face as he looked into the warm eyes of the man.

Mada nodded his head and started to stand up from the chair. There was still some time for them to talk, and they agreed to spend the time that was there.

Mada shifted her seat to sit next to Binar.

"Thank you for the thirty days you have spent on me, Mada" said Binar softly. His eyes looked at the man filled with a pitiful look of love. Binar did not care if Mada realized it or not, because for Binar, now is a moment that cannot be repeated again.

Mada was silent for a moment, both of them were silent for a while. "Should we stop here Bi?" ask the man later.

Binar tilted her head while looking at Mada with a look of confusion. "You mean?"

Mada is back. His face seemed to be thinking about something. Knowing Mada never answered, Binar again asked almost the same question.

"So, I don't understand what you're saying, so can you explain?" he said carefully maybe. Somehow Binar felt very afraid to hear Mada's answer, although the curiosity disturbed his mind.

Mada turned his gaze to Binar for a moment, before then taking out a small, bright red box from inside his suit pocket.

Anyone knows exactly what box is now in Mada's grasp. Moreover, the man with the most gentle movement could grab Binar's hand and clasped it tightly.

"Bi, it seems like I want to break our agreement to stop on the thirtyth day, because in fact, I am not able to do that," Mada said starting their serious conversation. The man took off the hand of Binar for a moment to open the small box.

The sparkle suddenly opened, as his eyes caught the sparkle of light reflected from the white diamond ring embedded in the box. Diamond rings that had been coveted several years ago

Where did Mada know about the ring, but they had not met before?

"I asked my mom for her favorite thing, and she said, You love this diamond ring and always keep her picture on your phone. Incidentally, I've seen it on your phone's wallpaper." As if understanding what Binar was thinking, Mada reopened her voice.

Binar gasp. Once while walking with his mother to the mall, Binar was lured to a pair of white diamond rings displayed in one of the gold shop window there. The ring is so beautiful. However, the expensive price makes Binar have to be satisfied just by looking at him. After all, the ring is a pair of rings that he could not possibly buy.

Because he liked the Binar on the ring, he photographed it and made the photo as a cellphone wallpaper.

"Bi," call Mada.

Binar who turned out to be daydreaming reflex self-conscious. The girl widened her eyes when Mada without permission pinned the diamond ring on the ring finger of Binar.

"Mada a—"

"Go back to me, Binar! I want to continue our lost story." Mada quickly cut off the word Binar. The man managed to put the dream ring into his hand.

Mada was sure once Binar gladly accepted his gift, moreover, he realized that Binar also still felt the same as himself.

However, Mada's estimate was wrong. Binar firmly pulled his hand hard and immediately pulled out the ring. "I can't Mada!" yells.

"Why?" mada asked with a surprised face.

Hearing Binar's reply, Mada was stunned. "Where are you going? Why don't you ever talk to me about it?" ask the man.

"Because I don't want to experience the same breakup the second time!" replied Binar with wet eyes.

"Tell me, where are you going? Can't I wait for you to come home? We don't have to part ways like we used to, because I'll promise to wait for you to come home!" Mada grabbed Binar's hand and clasped tightly, as if he did not allow Binar to get out of there all inch.

"I'm not going back here Mada! I've been planning all this since long before our meeting happened" said Binar.

"So you really just want to remember our times, without intending to fix everything?" Mada's eyes now look very disappointed. His heart throbbed pain upon hearing every word that came out of Binar's mouth.

"Yes, I told you everything from the beginning, didn't I?"

Mada sighed, which began to feel heavy. "Have you ever thought that the thirty days we've been through can not only evoke memory, but a feeling that has been buried deep in the bottom?" ask Mada.

"Do you, Binar, that we could love each other again, and I feel it now! Don't you feel the same way about me, Bi?"

Hearing Mada's confession, Binar's tears escaped instantly. The girl did not expect at all that their trip over the past month turned out to rekindle their feelings for each other.

Nah! But it only evokes Mada's feelings, because his own feelings have never really disappeared since the beginning.

"No Mada, I never felt it! I'm sorry .. sorry," said Binar in a raucous voice. His trembling hand then took Mada's palm and placed the ring there.

"Thank you for a very beautiful year and a half first, also for thirty days filled with sweet memories. I promise I won't forget Mada. Live well, find a girl who truly loves you and is able to carry your love story through the long years. Again forgive me."

Binar drew closer to Mada's face and landed a brief kiss on the corner of the man's lips, before finally getting up and leaving the room.

Mada remained silent in place. His hands seemed to be clenching the ring that Binar had just rejected. The ring he bought with great difficulty was no longer produced.

The ring he had prepared was only for Binar, his beloved girl.

...**********...

"The shine! It's not an hour yet, kam—"

"Mom, come on, let's go!" peek Binar as soon as he arrived in the car. The girl looked teary-eyed.

Artanti who was astonished then stroked the cheek of Binar. "Darling, what's wrong? What is te—"

"Mom, come, Mom! I want to get out of here! I want to go!" The screams of Binar's cry sounded. More and more tears flowed down the girl's cheeks.

Panicked Artanti rushes to run her car away from the restaurant parking lot.
