Madaharsa

Madaharsa
Chapter 3. Home Together.

The time had already shown at nine o'clock in the evening, but our reunion was still going on full of crowds and happiness. Laughter and cheerful jokes were heard throughout this event.

I focused on looking up at the stage to watch my friends dance there. They look cool shaking the body following the music with spirit.

I chose to sit in my chair and wait. Many times they have invited me to join them. But I refused it gently.

"I can't dance. Have fun, I'll wait here." It was just a sentence I said to them in response. Luckily, my friends understood and did not insist.

My eyes then scanned around this hall. Of the many students and students of my class, ninety percent took the time to come. Of course, because this is the event we have been waiting for after two years passed since our graduation.

I went back to sipping a glass of lemonade, while occasionally laughing at the silliness of Edi, my classmate who had just ten minutes to come and immediately joined the party. It seems that he had just returned from service when viewed from the striped uniform he was wearing. Edi, the student who is somewhat naughty and likes to skip school, is now transformed into a man who is dashing and responsible for his work.

To be honest I envy seeing the success of my old friends. Some people who I never even imagined before, now also took success in career or out. While I .. had to stay silent with my parents at home. Sometimes it makes me a little sad but it's the only option I have.

"You're not joining?"

I who was busy thinking about various things, suddenly surprised by the figure of Mada who was sitting in the chair next to me. The man apparently did not dance together in front and preferred to chat with other friends.

"Are you not dancing?" ask me in the usual tone. I try not to look nervous in front of him.

"I'm not good at dancing and don't want to dance. You?" ask her then while looking into my eyes full of familiarity. Although the gaze is no longer the same as when we still have a sweet relationship, but still the tenderness is still there.

"I am too." My answer was short with a small laugh.

We both fell silent afterwards. Mada seemed to be thinking about something, while I was busy controlling my heartbeat.

Who would have thought that it still remained in my soul, even though we had not met for a long time. Being near Mada really re-examines all the memories that were ever created.

I want to ask everything, at least about the memory of our togetherness first. However, I know myself enough not to act like a brash girl who still expects love from her ex-boyfriend.

Mada is indeed the first and only man I have not been able to forget. What's more, our separation barely spiced up serious conflict, because we decided to split well after Mada was accepted into one of the famous colleges outside the city.

"I thought you'd live permanently out of town?" unexpectedly, a question suddenly slid from my mouth.

I gasped as soon as I realized it. "Sorry, I might be a little presumptuous."

Instead of looking at me strangely for being self-assured, Mada even laughed a little. "I moved here right away as soon as I graduated college and focused on building my ideals" the man replied gently.

I nodded my head. "I'm so proud, Mada. You have always loved photography and the like ...."

" ... and you're the one who's always the victim of my free object." Mada added one sentence that made my cheeks red.

He still remembers that. "I am not a victim, but a volunteer" I confirmed.

Mada smiled knot. We kept quiet and busy with each other's thoughts, before the man suddenly said, "other times want to not volunteer me again?" said offer.

I was staring at him. Sparks of happiness began to appear filling the niches of the heart. "Can." I answered in a tone I used to try.

"In that case, may I have your phone number?" tanya Mada is back. I nodded and mentioned some of my numbers.

"Ahh, you still wear the same number apparently. If my phone was lost, I changed my old number" Mada said.

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Mada.

Then why not try to contact me? I can only ask this in my heart.

"I actually wanted to call you, but I was afraid I'd interrupt. Anyway, it feels awkward." Surprisingly, Mada suddenly uttered a very continuous sentence with my question in his heart.

Whatisthis? Can Mada read my mind? He really makes me feel confused.

"It's okay." My answer. We also started chatting lightly about each other's activities, before finally our friends rejoined.

The reunion event was successful. At exactly half-eleven in the evening we all disbanded.

"Don't forget to keep communicating with each other huh, guys!" kevin shouted to all of us. He was planning to hold a special reunion of our class only.

One by one they started to leave. Now it's just me, Arunika, and Mada.

"Come, Bi, just go home with me," Arunika asked once again.

"My dad's here any minute! You go home first." I subtly refused the invitation to go home with Arunika.

"You sure?" tanya Arunika assured.

I nodded steadily.

"Well then, I'll go first, Bi, Mada!" Arunika then got into her car and left them both.

"You're not coming home? What's picked up too?" I asked Mada who was still standing next to me. Didn't he bring a vehicle and was waiting for an invitation, just like me.

"I will accompany you here until your father arrives."

Negating Mada's answer, I was quite flattered. However, I also feel bad because the day is getting late.

"No need Mada, soon my father will arrive," I assured.

"Have your father replied to your message?" ask Mada.

I shook my head. "Maybe it's because you're on the street."

"It doesn't seem so. Instead of waiting, we better go home together. How's it?"

Getting such an invitation, of course, I was worried. Dad did not reply to my message, but it could have been because he was on the road, even though he never once ignored my message.

"It's getting late and I can't leave you alone."Mada once again opened her voice.

I paused for a moment, then tried to call my father's phone back. But again, there is no answer. Where exactly is dad? Why did he not keep his promise to come and pick me up.

As a result, with various considerations I finally agreed to the invitation of Mada. "alright. Sorry to bother you," said the girl.

Mada smiled a little and asked me to follow her.
