Derek's thinking of getting away from Amy. That's the best thing to do right now. He had trouble keeping both hands from touching the girl when he saw her. Their kiss quickly ignited the passion within him, making his heart beat fast and his blood bubble.

Mike's call helped him distract him temporarily from Arthur Sky's daughter. The news from Mike made Derek a little worried.

Jack who had always been in his sights now disappeared. Mike is trying to find traces of his cousin's whereabouts . The latest investigation said some of Jack's men were seen watching over the Langton family's main mansion.

Derek immediately flies off leaving Amy to see and come to know for himself from Mike Jack's next plan. His cousin had been ignited by a grudge that made him able to do anything. Who knows what he'll do to the Langton family's prized assets in order to find Arthur Sky's daughter.

Derek arrived at the main mansion right after midnight. He steps quickly towards his study where Mike is sure to be waiting.

Derek pushed the door open, then looked at Mike who was standing on the left side of his large desk. Mike's condition that looks tired makes Derek frown.

"How many days don't you sleep, Mike? You look pathetic." Derek pored over Mike's entire appearance while pulling up a chair behind his desk to sit down without even taking his eyes off his confidant.

"Yeah .. That's what you get when you force a stray cat to obey your wishes. Then at the same time lose sight of the target you're supposed to be watching." Mike said with a little huff.

Derek looks intrigued by Mike's remarks about the stray cat.

"Don't tell me you got clawed back." Derek sneering. But Mike did not discuss the insinuations.

"My sleepless days and nights watching Jack are seemingly fruitless because now your cousin is out of control. But I did find an interesting fact, a fact about a person your cousin was hiding, a person she periodically met before she might realize she was being watched."

"Who?" derek asked impatiently.

"i think one of the victims of the infighting after Margaret's funeral. The man we thought was burned to ashes."

"Jonathan ..." guess Derek.

Mike nodded slowly, "almost certainly it was him. Somehow he hid himself from your father's survivors."

Derek silently stuck his desk in front of him. When his father starts to get sick and undergo treatment, his father never mentions Jonathan who has been declared dead in a shootout with Arthur, they never found out anything about his death because there were no bodies left.

Her father Erland mandated that Derek take care of the transfer of the company that became part of Jack's illegitimate son Jonathan Langton. But the man never seems satisfied because he feels he has the right to the entire Langton business empire because of the blood that flows in his body, while Derek is just an adopted son ... adopted by Erland. Despite the fact that Jack's mother never married Jonathan.

"We need to figure out their plan quickly, Mike!" Derek looked up at Mike who was rubbing his face, the man looked tired and frustrated, the dark circles under his eyes showing the days he spent without sleep.

"Yes .. That's what I think, Jack's hired criminals are already watching this mansion, they know that Regina's guardian princess Arthur is here. And I think they're guessing that Princess Arthur we brought here too, it's only a matter of time before Jack guesses where you took Amy Sky after he found out she wasn't in this mansion." Mike rubbed his face again, then walked away from Derek towards the window.

Derek caught Regina's name in his ear. A name that interested him. But he refrained from asking Mike.

"How did they know the bodyguard girl was here?"

"That stupid girl is going to run away and run away from here. He endangers his own life after being caught by Jack's hitman outside the mansion. Fortunately, we still have time to be chased and saved by our people. But his leg was shot ...."

"Again!?" Derek raised an eyebrow, as he remembered the girl's leg was also shot by Jack during the massacre at Arthur's mansion.

"I think I'd rather call her by her name with Regina" said Mike.

Derek hid his smile. It seemed like a lot had happened when he ordered his confidant to take care of Arthur's daughter's bodyguard.

"Well ... I'm sorry to make things difficult for you Mike. That girl does look like an obstacle to your every job. We can arrange another arrangement for him to free you from this obligation."

Mike looked sharply at Derek, "there are no other arrangements for him! I'm the one who's gonna keep an eye on that stray cat!"

Derek raised it to his two hands like a sign of surrender hearing Mike raise his tone.

"I'm just trying to make it easy for you" he said with a little amused.

"If you want ease, why don't you just hand over Arthur's daughter to Jack? All this business will be in order. Let Jack get his revenge on the girl."

Derek moved slowly from his chair towards Mike, his steps steady with sharp eyes as if looking at a prey.

"Gover Amy?" repeat Derek.

"Yes, what Jack wants is Amy Sky and she is indeed the daughter of Arthur Sky who is an enemy of the Langton family. This matter will be settled by handing the girl over."

"What are you saying! That's not gonna happen!" derek's anger ignited at his words comforted Mike. His deliberate prank succeeds to lure Derek away. He grins amusedly.

"I don't think I'm the only one busy with the stray cat. You must have been busier with the beautiful creatures you sealed up in the sparsely visited Garden mansion. Didn't you!?"
