The Passion Of My Enemy

The Passion Of My Enemy
** restless **

"I have to go home, Derek. We can find them in different places. Maybe it will be better and more likely. There's a couple of places Reggie's been telling me about the past he spent with Amy there."

Derek took a deep breath. Justifying Mike's words.

"You're right. Should I come home? Doesn't look good here."

"It's up to you." Mike left the decision in Derek's hands.

They get ready, collect the equipment they bring and put it in the car. A few days on the estate, questioning every supervisor and worker who might know Amy and guerrilla in the small town there was fruitless. Derek was very frustrated.

They drove down the highway. Leaving the white house on the hill. Heading to the small town where Derek's private plane has been waiting to bring him back.

Arriving in the small town, Derek stops at a restaurant. Take Mike down and walk first towards the entrance of the restaurant.

"I'm hungry Mike. We'll eat before we go." Mike said without much talk.

Both are busy with their own thoughts. Derek looked out at the clear glass of the restaurant that displayed the view outside. The busyness of people passing by, the vehicles that are alternating continue to pass, and on the other side, at the wide entrance of a shopping center he looked at people who came in and out.

Derek's eyes were pounded on two boys talking on the sidewalk with a woman wearing a wide hat and sunglasses. The woman laughed, Derek was interested to see the smile on those lips. The woman stood sideways, not so clearly visible and sometimes covered by vehicles passing continuously. But something about the woman's motion and upbringing reminded Derek of his wife.

Derek saw the woman leave the two boys who had talked to him. His hands waved before entering the shopping mall and that was when he clearly saw the faces of the two boys who had spoken to him. That's little Evan and Tom. Derek stood up immediately. Leaving Mike looking at her by asking.

Crane stands on the sidewalk. Waving his hands at the two boys. He shouted calling.

"Hey! Evans! Tom!"

His shout was greeted with a wave of excited hands from the two boys.

"Wait there! I'll be there to pick you up!" derek again.

Derek walked carefully between passing vehicles, crossing until he confronted the two children.

"Hey .. we happened to meet here. I'm going home with Mike. As a farewell to me, come and eat there. There's an ice cream menu there too." Derek pointed towards the restaurant across from them.

A wide smile spread across the faces of the two boys welcoming Derek's offer. They nodded quickly then greeted Derek's hand which led them across back towards the restaurant. They came in and sat face to face. Mike smiled at the two boys with the flushed cheeks Derek was carrying.

"Who are you here with?" mike asked.

"Mom wants to buy something. But I'm so bored of following Mom shopping. He'll drive around without stopping." Little tommy grumbling.

"Yes .. and thank God we finally met Pablo. He took us for a walk and played in the children's playground at the mall."  Evan chimed in.

"Yes .. and the Princess also came along. I love it when I see it." The two boys sniggered together.

"Have you told your daughter's Master that she wanted to be your girlfriend?"  Mike asked Tommy.

Tommy shakes. But Mike did not answer further because he saw two bowls of ice cream brought by the waiter. The other menu also came. Making the two boys drool.

"So you let your mom shop alone, Tom?" Derek asked Tommy. The boy nodded with his mouth full of vanilla ice cream.

"The woman you were talking to on the sidewalk was your mother?" ask Mike.

The boy shook his head. But did not answer because he was busy with ice cream.

"Not Sir! That's not Tom's mom! That was Mr. Tom's daughter." Evan answered with a laugh. The mouthful that was heading towards Derek and Mike's mouth came to a sudden halt. Didn't expect that Princess Tommy was a grown woman, not a little girl as they thought.

"You mean ... Princess Tommy is a girl?" Derek looked at Evan who replied with a nod of his head.

"But Pablo said the Princess already has a husband! " Tommy grumbled. Derek and Mike looked at. Derek's chest is pounding. He stopped Tommy's returning arm from bribing ice cream into his mouth.

"The princess is married?"

"Yes. I'm so pissed off! Because she's so beautiful. She's like a fairy!"

"Tell me, where did you first meet Princess Tom?"

"We met for the first time when he and Pablo were taking a morning walk in the tea garden."

"Pablo ... plantation man? Is that what you mean, Tom?" Mike asked Tommy. But the boy had returned to his ice cream, not listening to Mike's question, so Evan again answered the question that was addressed to Tom. "Yes, sir, "he answered.

"How's your Lord's daughter looking, Tom? Oopssssss ... You can't eat your ice cream before you answer me." Derek held back the mouthful of Tommy.Tommy's ice cream pout. He reluctantly answers Derek's question.

"My daughter is very pretty. Her long hair was brownish yellow. Her skin is white and her cheeks are red. He was always smiling. She ...."

"What color are Tom's eyes?" Derek cut impatiently.

"His eyes are very beautiful, clear and friendly blue sea."

Derek standing. He left the table and ran towards the Mall. The sound of the horn was deafening as Derek broke through the road full of vehicles passing by. Mike who had come out of the restaurant shouted from the sidewalk. But Derek's ears were deaf. He ran to the Mall door. Enter and spread the view.

The appearance of the woman Tommy portrayed was similar to his wife's, and if it was true that the woman was Amy, then the estate supervisor had lied, the man had deliberately lied!
