Episode 125: Retaliation

But, of course Xavier did not forget the presence of Credence behind him.

Credence is Maya's direct superior, Credence also brought Maya to this place, so it is Credence's responsibility to take care of the problems caused by Maya.

Maya glanced at Xavier for a moment, then immediately turned her eyes again when she noticed the sinister aura from the man. Maya always looked at Xavier as a strange genius, but now the man was even more terrifying with sweet smiling lips, but in contrast to his hateful glittering eyes.

Without looking back at Xavier, Maya turns over, stepping back in her arms to follow Credence, who has stepped into Xavier's study.

Xavier's eyes watched the tightly shut door in front of him, he then shrugged and looked around.

Credence may take a while to solve the Maya's problems in there, and despite being overwhelmed with curiosity, Xavier unfortunately has no access this time. He himself has made his room inaccessible so that whatever happens in there, will not be able to be tapped, will not be hacked in any way, even, his study was soundproofed so that whatever was spoken of inside, it would be impossible to hear from outside.

Elios stopped whatever he was doing. His head looked up, then looked towards Xavier with annoyance mixed with horror. Although Xavier showed absolutely no bad faith, Elios knew he had to be careful with Xavier.

It could have been Xavier waiting for them to let their guard down, pretending to be nice while playing around, then hitting straight from behind.

“Didn't you see? I am indeed busy,” Elios replied in a flat tone. Elios had known Xavier for a long time, once he followed Akram to work. She has also learned about Xavier's personality and the unique case of him, which is why she decided to give up her usual formal attitude and be free to the man, he said, in contrast to his respectful attitude when he was talking to Akram.

“Can you help me?” Xavier did not seem to care about Elios's demeanor and kept asking.

Xavier chuckles at Elios' accusation. He had no intention of denying it. Because the accusation is true.

Credence stood firm with an uncovered attitude of anger. His tall body was turned against the giant glass window in Xavier's workroom which reflected the light of the morning sky that was in the background. Credence's eyes looked sharp, merciless towards Maya who still looked shocked at what Akram had told her earlier.

Maya's gaze looked clear as she stared at Credence.

“Credence, regarding Akram Night, can't you help me.” his voice came to a halt when he saw Credence shaking his head firmly.

“You're making trouble for yourself, Maya. I've clearly warned you. But instead of stepping back, you dug your own grave so eagerly. If it's like this, I can't help you either,” Credence looked away as if sick of seeing Maya's face. “Despite that, I know both your parents well, they left you under my supervision. So, for the sake of your parents, I will ask for forgiveness for Akram. At least so that Akram does not interfere with your parents' business and make them destroyed and bankrupt.”

Credence's words made relief wash Maya's face. She was about to speak, but Credence moved her hand as a gesture that she did not want Maya to say anything.

“No. There's nothing to talk about. I can't help any more than this. I'm sorry Maya. You are no longer my assistant, I will call a new assistant from headquarters to replace you, please hand over all your work data to him as soon as possible before you pack your things and leave.”

Maya's eyes widened. He looked at Credence with an angry glare mixed in betrayal.

“You can't do this to me just because of this problem, Creden! This is just a small misunderstanding. I'm sure after easing his anger, Akram won't take this seriously. Come onl…. I think you're just exaggerating the problem.” said Maya quickly, struck by panic.

Credence shook his head.“You may have forgotten that I have known Akram Night for a long time. He had never had the desire to have anything before. Perhaps because he had trained his heart due to his trauma for quite a long time, perhaps also because nothing caught his attention and made him want to have,” Credence said his sentence in a serious tone. “Newly this time Akram Night was serious and determined to marry a woman, Elana. Xavier silently restrained his smile. He is convinced that Credence has taken the best decision by not interfering in Maya's affairs with Akram. Xavier shouldn't have interfered, but he couldn't help but annoy Maya and harass her, deliberately wanting to upset her.

With a quick movement, Xavier stood up and stepped, precisely blocking Maya's path so that Maya who was about to walk to the elevator had to stop her steps.

“Where are you going? Why rush?” Xavier smiled sweetly, but the mocking radiance in his eyes seemed real, provoking aggravation.

“I've been fired,” Maya withholds flavor. Because he knew, even though Xavier currently looked friendly and harmless, this man was hiding his true disposition well. Elios is well acquainted with Xavier's nature, due to trauma in his past, Xavier usually avoids touching others without intention. His unexpected gesture of patting Maya's shoulder earlier, must have been meant to thrust poison into Maya's body without the woman noticing.

Xavier smiled mischievously, rolling his eyeballs without guilt.

“Oh, don't worry, I put a virus into his body, and not a poison. But the virus will not kill him, only make him tormented half to death,” replied Xavier frankly.

Elios looked horrified. “What virus did you stick to Maya?” tanyanya.

Xavier laughs. “Virus Smallpox fire, but it is the development of a new type of variant that is resistant to antivirus and takes a long time to heal, it is, with damage and pain many times more than the usual type of fire pox virus.” he replied quickly, still with his uncanny irksome attitude annoying.
