Xavier's drastically changed expression made Sera who was preparing herbs to saute vegetables and eggs in front of him so frown. Never before had he seen Xavier display his emotions so clearly on his face. The man did usually appear pale, but this time the blood seemed to be forcefully sequenced from his face, making Xavier's skin completely as white as paper.
Sera's eyes watched as Xavier finally closed the conversation with a vague murmur, then turned off his phone connection before contemplating silently. Anxiety immediately crept into Sera's heart when she saw Xavier's unusual behavior.
Only really bad or really shocking news could possibly make Xavier escape his mask of serenity like that....
"What's wrong?" After weighing for a while, Sera finally decided to ask.
Xavier blinked his eyes, as if Sera's question woke him from his shaken soul. His eyes skimmed all over Sera, then the man cleared his throat for a moment to calm himself down.
"I think we should rewind the schedule to see your father tomorrow. Just now Doctor Nathan called, he was about to do a sudden checkup because of a consideration.”
Sera frowned. "Checking? Does it have anything to do with your wound?" tanyanya back.
Once again Xavier cleared his throat, his attitude seemed strange, as if the man had trouble stringing words together.
"That's kind of." Xavier turned his gaze away from Sera's eyes, then focused his attention towards the cuisine the woman was preparing. The man suddenly moved from his sitting position and stepped around the pantry towards the kitchen area where Sera was standing.
"What do you want to cook?" Xavier who had been teaching Sera suddenly asked, distracting Sera from the previous discussion.
Sera frowned, looking up slightly towards Xavier with a puzzled expression.
"I'll just saute the vegetables, then add the eggs into the stir fry." Although he did not understand why Xavier was suddenly interested in his cooking, Sera did not stop answering as well. "Why? Do you want to?" tanyanya.
"I want to." Unexpectedly, Xavier accepted the offer. The man then stepped off Sera's side and moved towards the refrigerator behind them. "I think we should add portions, more nutritious green vegetables and also protein."
The man took out a box of fresh cheese from the refrigerator and showed it to Sera. "Do you like it when you add cheese to your stir-fry?"
Sera glanced a little, then nodded her head. Maybe Xavier just realized that he was just as hungry as Sera. Sera had wanted to cook a simple meal, which was enough to prop up her stomach. However, it does not matter if other food ingredients are added there, Sera herself does not mind the cheese on her food.
Seeing Sera's nod, Xavier looked again at the refrigerator, as if he was still not satisfied with what he found. The man then took out a pack of high-quality smoked bacon and homemade sausage that was also available there. After getting the ingredients he wanted, Xavier took them out of the refrigerator and placed them in the large pantry where Sera had prepared the vegetables.
Sera's eyes widened, she then grimaced and looked at Xavier half-holding laughter. The man did not play games when he wanted to eat. A wide variety of green vegetables, corn, tomatoes, expensive mushrooms are all added and it is still added cheese, sausage and smoked meat of the number one quality as an addition to protein in addition to eggs. Xavier seems to want to incorporate all those ingredients into his cooking.
"I was just trying to make a regular egg and vegetable stir-fry. But you seem to think differently, you seem to want to include restaurant menu recipes in our lunch." Sera let out a half-gruntle opinion and it managed to lure Xavier into chuckling.
Unleashed, Xavier then grabbed Sera's shoulder with both hands, then directed the woman and pushed her around and left the side of the pantry where she stood.
Sera did not refuse to be herded like that despite the thick curiosity getting louder in her mind.
This man has been acting strange since he received the phone call. What exactly is going on? What makes Xavier feel like he's not being himself like this?
"I have to cook." Sera protested when Xavier pressed her body to sit in the front seat of the pantry. He tried to get up from the chair but Xavier held him back firmly.
"Sit down here, I'll cook for you. When it comes to cooking, then I'm the one who's more skilled than you." Xavier insisted, throwing an unwilling look at Sera. "Just sit down, Sera. This time I don't want to be denied." The man let out a stern tone of voice that he usually used to threaten people. Then, without giving Sera a chance to do anything, Xavier went back around the pantry and started preparing the dishes.
Sera herself decided to shut up and just look. The stomach is hungry and if the time is spent fighting by forcing their own desires, they may not even eat and remain hungry. One of them had to give up this time and Sera didn't mind doing it.
After all, it was quite nice to sit with his chin in place now while enjoying the view of Xavier slicing vegetables so deftly and neatly.
The man was right, his knife-wielding skills were clearly far above Sera, even his vegetable slices could display uniform and constant results. Maybe Xavier was born to do everything perfectly. Sera sat in silence while her eyes watched with interest as Xavier finally sauteed those cooking herbs on the stove.
"You're going to make your vegetables and eggs as planned, aren't you?" When the fragrant aroma began to smell filled the room, Sera inevitably inhaled it with joy. He was still unsure of what Xavier was cooking.
Xavier chuckled, glancing slightly towards Sera while his hands were busy sauteing the vegetables and various cooking ingredients he had put in gradually.
"I keep making the same menu as you planned. It's just, I added my touch so as to make it a little more elegant," she replied in a slightly seductive haughty tone.
Sera throttled her lips, but she did not speak. He decided to wait until he could taste Xavier's dishes before commenting.
No need to wait for long, Xavier poured the stir-fry into two large dishes, then pushed one of the plates in front of Sera. Sera's eyes widened when she saw that the portion that Xavier gave her to her pyrine was far more, almost twice that of the portion that Xavier had placed for herself.
"Why are you feeding me so much?" Sera asked puzzledly, her eyes still comparing between the plate in front of her with the plate belonging to Xavier. Xavier arguably only took a small portion for him and poured all the remaining portions into Sera's plate.
What exactly is in Xavier's mind? This man added a portion of food to be cooked earlier like a hungry person, but only took a little when the cooking was ripe.
"Recycle your food. You're hungrier than I am, aren't you? Eat fast, after that we go." Xavier pulled out a chair for himself then sat down at the side table opposite Sera, he then bribed the food into his mouth as if indifferent.
Xavier's attitude made Sera deliberately crouch hard to show her annoyance, but inevitably she also feed food to her mouth. Sera was really hungry, her stomach started to feel sore and the aroma and beautiful appearance of food in front of her was amazingly tempting her taste.
The first mouthful he chewed created a delicious sensation that instantly roamed his sense of taste. Sera blinked her eyes, pleased with the taste of the cooking that chime in her mouth, then she bribed again with a big mouthful of taste.
"Nake?" Xavier who turned out to observe the feed after the bribe made by Sera could not help but ask.
Sera nodded excitedly. The woman could not answer because her mouth was full of food.
Xavier smiled, then fed the food to his own mouth.
"Eat a lot. I think you need it" he said later in a mysterious tone that Sera had never caught because she was too fixated on the food in front of her.

"Sit down and let Doctor Nathan do the job."
"You're gonna take his blood now, right?" then he turned to Nathan.
Doctor Nathan glanced slightly at the two creatures in front of him, then nodded his thin head.
"In a moment," he replied calmly.
Sera who had been silent since then, glanced at Xavier and Doctor Nathan alternately. The doctor seemed to be busy himself while Xavier instead stood tensely waiting near Sera instead of sitting on the sofa with her.
"Doctor Nathan took my blood?" As Xavier did not turn his head towards him, Sera finally touched a bit of the end of Xavier's shirt sleeve to attract the man's attention. "So, we're not here to check your condition, but to check on me? Why was my blood taken? Didn't Doctor Nathan take my blood a few days ago for the TORCH test? Is something wrong?"
When Xavier did not also give an answer to a series of questions that were thrown, anxiety immediately colored Sera's facial expression. "Are the results of the TORCH test yesterday, someone stated that I was exposed to the viruses?" continued afraid. He recalled gardening and Doctor Nathan reprimanded him for the potential transmission of the toxoplasma virus from hands that hold soil but are not washed clean.
TORCH examination is an examination conducted to detect the presence of various viruses that have the potential to cause complications and disorders in the fetus. TORCH stands for Toxoplasmosis, Other infection (other infection), Rubella, Cytomegalovirus, and Herpes simplex virus. In pregnant women or those who are planning a pregnancy, it is better to do this examination first to detect the presence of viruses that are sometimes not realized by women because of mild symptoms, or even no symptoms at all.
In women who are planning a pregnancy, if the test result is positive, the doctor will give therapy drugs to 'clean' the body of the virus first before starting the pregnancy program. However, if a pregnant woman tested positive for one of the components of the virus, then the doctor will perform a special drug therapy method that is safe for pregnant women, at the same time ensure that the virus does not interfere with fetal development and cause serious pregnancy complications in the future.
Because these viruses can cause pregnancy disorders, miscarriage or birth failure and even physical defects in the fetus in the womb, so this TORCH examination should be done by women who are planning a pregnancy or who are already pregnant. Because, with early detection, the doctor will be able to determine the best method to maintain a healthy pregnancy and birth.
"No. You're cleared. There's no virus in your body." Dr. Nathan turned the body upside down, preparing the needle to draw Sera's blood. "Your TORCH test result says it's all negative. Your body's fine."
Sera frowned as she stared at Doctor Nathan who was bending over, applying a cold liquid on the inside of her elbow.
"So, why is the doctor taking my blood again?" Slowly Sera asked the question, her eyebrows slightly furrowed as the tip of the syringe stuck to her skin.
"Hold a little, it'll be quick." Doctor Nathan said calmly, focusing himself on taking Sera's blood and doing it quickly according to his words. It didn't take long for Doctor Nathan to finish the job. The man then did what he had to do before then pressing the intercom call to call his men.
A nurse came knocking and Dr. Nathan gave the blood sample to be delivered to the laboratory for examination there.
The man crossed his arms, leaned back on his desk and looked at Sera with raised eyebrows.
"You came here without knowing anything. Didn't Xavier say anything to you?" he said then, asking back.
Sera glanced back at Xavier and Doctor Nathan alternated.
"Say what?" The irritation begins to crawl Sera as she is tossed around in stifling ignorance. Xavier himself doesn't seem to want to help. The man seemed silent, deliberately giving stage to Doctor Nathan so that the doctor would explain. "What's really going on? What are you hiding from me? What's my pain?" berondong Sera came back with a question bertubi.
"You don't hurt anything. Don't worry, Sera. Stress won't be good for your body, if what I thought was true." Doctor Nathan glanced at Xavier as if asking for permission, when Xavier just shrugged his shoulders, the doctor finally resumed his words. "I did a re-pregnancy test on your blood sample that I took last time, it turns out the results show different data with previous results. The last lab test results show that you're pregnant."
Doctor Nathan's words were like lightning striking Sera in broad daylight. His eyes bought as if in disbelief, looking for a rebuttal from Xavier who was still standing near the sofa where he was sitting, but not found a single point of objection from the man.
So, is that right?
"W-how can? Didn't two weeks ago test her pregnancy in a row expressed a negative result?" In the end Sera was able to ask questions even though her tone was laid out.
"Two weeks ago, most likely your Hcg hormone was not too much so it was not detected by us. The curious me decided to do a retest and it turned out that two weeks later, the test revealed a different result." Doctor Nathan appears to study Sera's expression, before then resuming his sentence. "Current lightning checks are currently performed in the laboratory to ensure. We'll know the results in a few hours. While waiting, I will ask the obstetrician who is my colleague at this hospital to do an ultrasound to you. If my estimate is correct, your gestational age is four weeks if calculated from conception and it is six weeks if calculated from the last menstruation, if we are lucky, if we are, we'll be able to see the pregnancy pouches that form on the USG display later."
Nathan's doctor stopped explaining when he saw Xavier's signalling face. At once he understood immediately that Xavier wanted to get a chance to talk alone with Sera.
"I'll check into the USG room and make sure the gynecologist is in place. The nurse will ask you to be there when all is ready." Nodding his head towards Sera, Doctor Nathan stepped away and straight out of the room, leaving the door of his study closed behind his back, with Xavier and Sera both in there.
Sera lifted her body up from the sofa, she stepped before Xavier and looked up at the man with an accusatory look.
"You must have known since Doctor Nathan called earlier. Why didn't you tell me?" tanyanya. Xavier looked strange in that house. Sera even directly connected with the large meal portion that Xavier had given him earlier. Did the man deliberately feed her a lot because he thought that Sera was pregnant?
Sera's eyes skimmed over Xavier's illegible face. Suddenly he felt tremendous annoyance. This man in front of him always did as he pleased and sometimes acted unpredictably which caused Sera to be swayed in confusion first before getting a grip. What the hell is inside of Xavier?
"Is it hard to tell me once you've received that information from Dr Nathan? Rather than acting as annoyingly mysterious as before, you can just talk to me. But you didn't do it and instead left me in ignorance for hours until finally getting the knowledge from Nathan's own doctor." Sera ruffled her waist, showing her annoyance to Xavier. "Don't you include sadistic men who like to torture others emotionally, huh?" cruel accusation.
The same moment when the sentence of his accusation was thrown from his lips, the same second when Xavier suddenly bent his body and scooped Sera into the firm grip of his arm. The movement was strong and unexpected until in an instant Sera's face had hit her hard chest without being able to fight back. The man trapped Sera in the restraint of his embrace, held her tightly until it was almost painful.
"Xavier?" Sera asked confusedly, shocked by the man's shocking act which she did not suspect at all.
Recalling their previous experience when stubbornness took hold of the two, he guessed that they would clash with each other and argue with heat until one was defeated. Sera did not expect that she even ended up being held tightly by Xavier.
