"I've felt the same as you." Suddenly Akram spoke.
Akram's words made Xavier who was staring blankly with a bitter look was stunned and raised his head.
"What do you mean?" tanyanya fast.
Akran grimaced a little. "Elana. I used to think that Elana was a punishment that destiny sent me. Maybe it's a little different from your situation now. But what I feel is more or less the same. I used to always assume that I was the most powerful of all and that I didn't need anyone." Akram's eyes narrowed as he continued his sentence, "But, when you poisoned Elana and I hugged her cold body between life and death, I realized that if Elana were to die, I would, then I'll die. Then I felt, that the situation might have been created as a punishment for me, to smite my arrogance."
Akram stared at Xavier cautiously.
"You're weak on this one. Otherwise, you'll kill him immediately and I think, this weakness of yours, because you have the same past and also."
Silence stretched out inside Akram's study, and the uncomfortable atmosphere seemed to choke his throat, while Xavier was seen shuffling his hair in frustration, an emotion that Xavier rarely showed anyone.
"What happened to the picture?" Xavier put on a fake smile as a form of denial.
Acram thinning lips. "He's similar to Marlene, to our mother." she concluded quickly.
Xavier immediately shook his head strongly.
"No. He's not similar at all! My mother is the prettiest. Can't be...,"
"Xavier's." Akram interrupted calmly. "You and I both know that we both look for our mothers in the women who are near us, not completely physically, but in self-image. Then, inevitably, we are weak to such women, just as I feel for Elana." Akram's smile seemed full of irony. "Pathetic, right? Our enemies will laugh when they realize that their weakness lies in something as simple as that."
This time Xavier did not argue. His expression turned serious.
"Roman Dawn didn't realize that the woman she sent me was actually my weakness" he concluded slowly. "He sent Serafina to me just because he wanted to take revenge at once. Neither to me, nor to Salvatore Moon."
"Why don't you just have it?" Akram asked calmly.
For the second time, Akram's statement seemed to make Xavier's brain become ignorant. Xavier frowned and asked back.
"What do you mean?"
Akram stared intently at Xavier. "Serafina Moon's. You want it, don't you?" ask Akram back.
It only took Xavier a few seconds to ponder the question, before long the man immediately replied with a grin on his lips.
"Yes. I want Serafina Moon."
Akram answered the grin with a knowing look.
"Then what are you waiting for? Your only barrier to having Serafina Moon, is the Dawn family" he said in a meaningful tone.
"Aren't you gonna get in my way if I go after the Dawn family?" Xavier asked in a probing tone.
Akram's gaze looked cruel as he replied.
"Why should I stop you? You, Serafina Moon, and the Dawn Family, all of you are equally entangled in the tangled threads of the past that trap you together. It has nothing to do with me. There's no way that if you want to untangle that already tangled thread, the only way is to cut it to the end." Akram moved from his seat, ending their conversation without rebuttal. "Come on. Elana must have been waiting in the dining room." she ordered as she led a step out of the room.
"I'll take Xavier to the door."
As soon as Xavier said goodbye to go home, Elana spoke quickly to Akram who was holding Zac and froze him so that the child would fall asleep.
Elana put a faint smile towards Akram, ignoring the disapproving look from her husband's eyes, then led Xavier's steps towards the exit.
The night was late enough and they had finished their dinner together, which miraculously took place in a peaceful situation that was quite pleasant.
There were no tense situations of mutual insinuation or provocation between Xavier and Akram during the dinner last night, and it made Elana happy because it seemed, the relationship between the two brothers, albeit slowly, was, it seems to be getting better and warmer by the day.
A servant opened the front door, and Xavier received the coat that was handed politely to him, then put on the coat and turned back towards Elana in the doorway.
"Thank you for dinner. I will come again later," Xavier said softly in a sincere tone.
Elana nodded her head. "You seem a lot of thought." Elana's observation was sharp, however she had worked for some time as Xavier's assistant, so she knew the man well enough. "Is Akram burdening you with a lot of work because he is currently taking time off work?" asked Elana again in an anxious tone.
Xavier chuckled, then shook his head.
"No, Elana, don't worry. Your husband may hate me, but he's not a dictator who's going to charge his men a job beyond his bearable capacity."
"I don't think Akram hates you. She may be a little awkward, but I see that your relationship has developed better than ever, "Elana knows how much this means to Xavier, because, although it's not shown, she said, Xavier really loves Akram.
"Looks like you're right," Xavier smiled faintly. A truly sincere smile. Then, suddenly the man's expression turned serious as the man stared at Elana in full search and asked. "Elana, sorry if my question is too personal. But, in the past, have you ever felt like you hated Akram to the point of wanting to kill him?"
The question left Elana stunned. The woman frowned, then spoke in a cautious tone.
"May I ask first why you're asking that?"
Xavier cleared his throat, as if the man had lost his ability to speak for a moment, completely invisible to the usual Xavier.
"yeah. You could say, there was a woman who caught my attention, but I may have done something in the past that made her now want to kill me," Xavier replied later in a tone full of irony.
Elana. A lady? This heartless Xavier Light with a behavior that was close to that of a psychopath, was talking about a woman, but not with the intention to poison or kill?
If that woman gets to make Xavier come to this, then most likely, she is a special woman.
Elana doesn't know what happened between Xavier and that woman. But, if the answer he gave could help Xavier, of course Elana would give it with pleasure.
"Yes, Xavier. I used to hate Akram so much. Hate, disgust, disgust and all sorts of other negative feelings, to the point that I wanted Akram Night to disappear from this world. But, you have to remember, the heart of the woman, is basically soft and fragile. At some point, if you put in enough effort, you can turn the heart that hates you into loving you" Elana said in an honest smile and her eyes sparkled with love when remembering about Akram. "I used to want Akram to disappear from this world, but now, I can't live without Akram by my side."
"I want you to lock the Dawn family's position in Russia and keep reporting their movements to me."
Sitting in the back seat of his car, Xavier called Dimitri who responded to his orders in a bitter manner.
"I'm not your boss, but I'm the key that determines whether or not you can breathe tomorrow." Xavier replied in a harsh tone. "Do you understand your position now, or should I remind you again that your life depends on the antidote I have?"
"Alright," Dimitri's voice sounded irritated. "That's all? watching over the Dawn Family and doing nothing?"
"You have to lock their positions. It's best that they don't move, or if they do, you need to know their current position and report it to me." Xavier reconnected his orders with a stern tone.
"OKAY. Let's just say it's been done." Dimitri actually did not want to interfere with Xavier's affairs, but curiosity made his mouth could not be arrested. "Why did you lock in the Dawn Family position?"
Xavier grinned at the question.
"For what? Because I don't want them going anywhere when I come."
"You're coming? To here? To Russia?" Dimitri could not hide the shock in his voice.
Xavier chuckles. "I plan to visit the Dawn Family in the near future and bring a surprise gift for them," he replied in a tone full of mystery.
The room is guarded by Xavier's men.
Serafina, unwilling to surrender to Xavier's ultimatum and intimidation, had intended to escape from this place and went to show that Xavier could not manage it. But yesterday after Xavier left her, Sera's body still felt limp and to leave the bed her legs felt too weak. Sera finally restrained her intention and decided to rest completely and sleep in order to gather energy for the sake of tomorrow
This morning, Sera instantly scanned the entire exit she could reach without having to come into contact with Xavier. If the man still wants to make him his assistant, then Xavier must be able to accept that Sera does not have to stay at his house.
He still has some friends who although not too familiar can be asked for help. He also had accounts receivable on his past co-workers that he could charge if the situation was really urgent.
Sera is not as sad as that to have to rely entirely on Xavier. He won't make Xavier feel too powerful to be able to regulate.
From the window of his treatment room, Sera knew that the floor where she was treated was at a fairly high level. Then, when he dragged his infusion to the door and opened the door with the desire to see the situation outside, he had to deal with not one, not two, instead of two, but the four guards were wearing full black suits, dark glasses and were definitely hiding weapons behind their suits. One of the bodyguards politely said to Sera, that Sera should go inside her room back and not try to get out.
Shaking, between fear and anger, Sera reentered the room, but decided not to lie down and chose to sit on the edge of the bed while biting her lips in frustration.
Who does Xavier think he is? Sera is his personal assistant's candidate, not his hostage. Just his gun locked him in a hospital room and kept him from leaving the room?
Suddenly a bad feeling flashed through Sera's mind. For some reason, Xavier was suddenly so involved in his life, especially after the fire disaster yesterday.
There was something strange.as if, all the coincidences that happened were too many to be called a coincidence.
Do not-don't... Xavier was involved with the fire?
The door of the room opened and the figure Sera was thinking about stepped into the room.
Xavier Light was always smiling, as if he had all the happiness in this world and did not bear the slightest burden of the sometimes unforgiving cruelty of the world.
And Sera hates that smile, hates it so much. How could the man smile this light when so many of his cruel deeds in the past destroyed the lives of so many humans?
"My men said you were trying to get out. I'm sorry I put a guard outside your treatment room. I just don't want things to happen out of my control." said Xavier kindly. Unasked, the man immediately sat down on the available chair by the bed.
Sera who was still sitting on the edge of the bed raised her chin haughtily, preparing to challenge.
"Can you explain what is meant by things that are out of your control? You seem to have forgotten that here I am your future personal assistant, not a prisoner to be taken care of," Sera said in a real denouncing manner.
Xavier did not answer immediately. The man watched Sera sharply before saying a word,
"Why, sometimes I feel that you hate me so much, Sera."
That Xavier sentence left Sera stunned and immediately cursed herself for not being able to control her emotions in front of Xavier.
"Whatchu mean? I. I don't hate you, I just don't agree with the way you act...,"
"Let's stop all this pretense, Serafina Moon. Or can I tell you, the daughter of Salvatore Moon, who was sent by the Dawn family to take revenge on me?" Xavier suddenly interjected, his expression turning ghastly dark, a smile that was usually always stretched out on his face and as if being his patent paraphernalia, vanished already. The man's eyes watched the expression of shock reflected on Sera's face. "Shocked? What if I told you that I knew everything from the beginning, hmm?"
Unexpectedly, Xavier suddenly moved and was already very close to Sera, the man's aura changed in an instant, from a sweet aura that crumbled, to a dark aura full of killing intent.
"M-get away from me," stricken by panic and fear, Sera moved both her hands forward to push Xavier's chest which had somehow stood so close to her, caught him on the edge of that hospital bed.
As it turned out, despite having trained himself to fight back against his fear of Xavier, Sera was still not strong enough. The aura that Xavier is now spreading is so terrible, exactly the same as Xavier portrayed by Roman and Samantha Dawn, a cruel monster that made their daughters tragic fate and lost their lives.
The fear made Sera as if paralyzed, unable to move and unable to resist as Xavier stood up, placing himself close to Sera who was sitting on the edge of the bed, then gripped the woman's chin with her hands, looked up at her before then the man bent his face on the side of Sera's head and placed his lips close to Sera's ears.
"Serafina Moon's. You're so stupid for choosing to be on the side of the weak. Do you think, the Dawn family with that power, can fight me? They're powerless against me, which is why they're looking for another way to send you to me, isn't it?" Xavier deliberately uttered his sentence slowly, exhaling his hot breath on the side of Sera's ear while his fingers on Sera's chin clutched tightly as the woman began to rebel and tried to push him away.
"You're looking too lightly at me to think that I'm easily fooled by amateurs like you. Did you know you were so lucky? Had you been another woman, you wouldn't be here alive" Xavier's voice sharpened when he accidentally swiped his lips against Sera's ear, making Sera gasp in fear and try to avoid.
Unfortunately, Xavier turned out to be so powerful. Her slender body turned out to be as solid as a rock, harboring a hidden power that could not be easily resisted by the body of the Serafina woman who was naturally much weaker.
"You've put yourself in a nest of snakes, little rats. And I'm not a good-natured snake. I'd love to play the poor little mouse to the point of exhaustion before then gobbling it up round and round."
