"Andika Mantofany died three years ago. He has a chronic autoimmune disease, lupus. The disease was passed down by his father, who died nine years ago. According to my analysis, Andika's identity is being used by someone. But, I have not managed to find who it is" explained Adnan at length.
Mauren thought hard. He remembered Andika's attitude all along, trying to find a bright spot to reveal his identity.
"He can bring ID card and also a doctor's certificate belonging to Andika. I don't think ..he's anyone else for Andika. Maybe there's still a family connection or at least a close friend." Mauren expressed her opinion.
"You're right, Mom. I think so too." Adnan rubbed his face. "Right now .. I'm trying to find information about Andika's family. There are several identities that I have been able to identify, but I have not investigated. And I can not be sure, who uses the identity of Andika one of them or not. I will keep finding out, will not stop before I find the right answer, Mauren" he said.
"Thank you very much, sir, for helping me get this far."
"Together, Mom. That has become my duty. Remembering first, Mr. Giorgino was very kind to me." Adnan smile. "Oh yes, Mom, I also bring good news for you" he continued.
"What's that?"
"There is no relationship between NE Group and Andika Mantofany. So, I'm increasingly convinced that the cooperation you signed is not problematic" Adnan replied.
"Thank God. I'm glad to hear it." Mauren smiled broadly.
After a long conversation and nothing more to discuss, Adnan said he would go home. Mauren led him to the gate. After Adnan's car drove away, Mauren was about to return home. However, his steps stopped because there was a motorbike that stopped right in front of his house.
"Who's been visiting last night?" inner Mauren. It's half ten now, not a good time to visit.
Shortly after, the driver got down and removed the helmet. Mauren turned her eyes when she saw his face.
"Whether did he come here?" mumble Mauren.
"Mauren, you're not sleeping." The man who was none other than Jeevan greeted Mauren with a big smile.
"It's a shame, Mas, why are you here?" Mauren asked cynically. But he also opened the gate.
"There are important things that I want to say to you, very important," replied Jeevan.
"It's important to you, it's not necessarily important to me, Mas" said Mauren. He's tired of Jeevan's bullshit. Often say important things, but in fact only say longs and bring up the memories of the past.
"This time is important, I'm not lying. Look, I'm abis overtime and haven't been home yet. I came here to say this to you" said Jeevan.
Mauren stared at him from toe to head. Jeevan's body is still wrapped in a laundry uniform, it seems that he is indeed overtime and has not cleaned himself.
"Yes, come in, but don't be long. It's malem." It's malem." Mauren invites Jeevan into her home. However, Jeevan refused and preferred to sit on the terrace. In addition to realizing that it was night, Jeevan was also exhausted. So, he won't be in Mauren's house for long.
"Yesterday I was doing stuff and accidentally met Andika. He was talking to someone in front of the boarding house. I don't know if it's her fault or not. After talking, Andika got in the car and left with the man" Jeevan explained.
"What's so strange?" Mauren pretended not to care even though the original was hoping for a hint of the matter.
"That guy has a lot of respect for Andika. From his way of speaking, like a subordinate with a superior. And again, he called him not Mr. Andika, but Mr. Rendra."
Mauren turned his head for a moment, between believing and not, but he was very surprised by Jeevan's words.
Mauren was silent. He tried to remember Rendra's name. However, repeatedly doing so, still do not know who Rendra is. For Mauren his name is very foreign.
"Mauren, why are you quiet? You don't believe what I say?" jeevan asked a few moments later.
"Not fully believe, but also not completely disbelieve" replied Mauren.
"Well, what I said is true. When I had time, I hurried to meet you to say this. I'm so worried about you, Mauren." Jeevan bowed. There was an uncomfortable feeling when he lost the trust of Mauren.
"Yes, thank you so much for the information. You don't have to worry anymore, Mom, I know what to do" said Mauren.
"You're gonna fire him?"
"Either. But clearly, I will do my best for both me and Victory." Mauren answered seriously.
"I believe you can." Jeevan smiles. "Mauren ... can't you consider me yet?" he deviated from the initial chat.
Mauren lowered her head and took a deep breath, "Mas, we're over. I can forgive you, but I can't go back with you. I gave you a chance, but you ignored."
"Can't you give me another chance? This time I promise I won't hurt you. I will no longer tarnish our love" Jeevan said.
"Mas, wouldn't it be selfish if you forced me now, after not wanting to know how I felt?" Mauren looked at Jeevan with a slight sharpness. However, the man immediately lowered his head and avoided his gaze.
"I understand." Jeevan smiled wryly. "You must need time to heal your wounds, I will always wait patiently, Mauren," he said in his heart.
Shortly thereafter, Jeevan returned home. He was no longer pressing because he was afraid that Mauren would be uncomfortable.
After Jeevan left, Mauren rushed in and took his phone, then contacted Adnan.
"Yes, Mauren's mom."
"Barusan Mas Jeevan came here and talked about Andika. I don't know if what he's saying is true or not, sir, but there's no harm in me telling you."
"What did he say, Mom?" ask Adnan.
"He said, he saw Andika talking to someone else who looked like a subordinate. The man called Andika as Mr. Rendra. Mr Adnan, is there a brother or friend of Andika named Rendra?" Mauren answered quickly.
"What I'm investigating is the brother of his father and this name is still unfamiliar. I need more time to investigate the brother of his mother, maybe there is a person named Rendra," said Adnan.
"Thank you, sir, I'm waiting for the good news."
After ending the phone call with Adnan, Mauren contacted Yohan. He told the man to come to the office the next morning. Yohan had refused because she was on the night shift, but after being told that tomorrow there was a bonus split, she was following Mauren's orders.
"You must know something. Tomorrow I'll make you honest and confess" Mauren said.
