"Bylla! Where are you going?!" Ella's screams echoed across the room. He was surprised to see Bylla who was in a hurry to grab the car keys.
"I have business Ma, important! Assalamu'alaikum." Bylla walked at a fast pace. He ignored Ella's screams that kept calling him.
"I can't be late, don't let him leave because it's waiting for me too long" Bylla told herself.
Then, he rushed in the car and drove it at high speed. The circular clock in his hand was already showing at 06:50, while the distance between his house and the Eiffel Tower was quite far. Last night, he thought too much about Ghani until it was difficult to close his eyes, so that this morning, he woke up when the dawn was long gone.
Bylla continued to tread the accelerator firmly, for the first time driving fast after the accident. As the clock turns, Bylla increases the speed. He does not care about other vehicles that are drunk when before him.
At exactly 07:30, Bylla arrived at the park, under the tower. He rushed down and ran to find Ghani. His eyes looked to and fro, hoping to meet the owner of the heart immediately.
"Bylla!"
Bylla stopped her steps, she memorized the voice of who, Ghani Alghibri—someone who occupies all the space in the heart.
"Ghani." Bylla turned her head and it was true that Ghani was already standing behind her.
"Thank you for seeing me, there are some things I want to get straight, Bylla!" ghani. He stepped forward and eroded the distance between the two.
"I'm sorry it made you misunderstand long enough, maybe you're hurt by it. But, Bylla, I have absolutely no time to straighten out. Now that I've managed to get Om Tommy and Evelyn to jail, I've also managed to clear my name and straighten out the fake news about me. I never betrayed you, Bylla, I've always been faithful to this love. So, is there still a chance we'll get back together?" Black eyes stared fixedly feelingly. Hope there is still a glimmer of hope to re-establish a relationship.
"I'm sorry, Ghani, I'm married in five days. I can't go back with you, sorry." Bylla lowered her head and hid the tears that escaped just like that.
Ghani gasped, the sentence that Bylla had thrown like a sharp sword that had struck right at the heart, was very painful.
"Married, what do you mean, Bylla?"
"I'm sorry, Ghani. Back then, I waited days for an explanation from you, but nothing. I was very disappointed and I decided to erase my feelings for you. I opened my heart to another man and now we're getting married" said Bylla.
"I was stranded on Sebira Island for a week and had no idea about the news. Um Tommy set me up, Bylla, that video was supposed to be for a song clip. After I got back, I tried to contact you, but all your access was closed. Why, Bylla, why don't you trust me?" shout Ghani. He held onto both of Bylla's shoulders tightly.
"I'm desperate, Ghan. My heart hurts too much" replied Bylla quietly without lifting her head.
"You think I'm not sick either? I'm in the fog because I can't reach you! I'm going to Jakarta to keep myself strong because you're too tall, Bylla! I don't want our relationship to end!" ghani.
"Ghani, I'm getting married" Bylla said, this time looking into Ghani's eyes.
"I fought for so long and have now managed to get out of Boundaries. Is all this gonna go to waste, Bylla?" shout Ghani.
"I'm sorry, Ghani" replied Bylla briefly.
"You're still getting married?" ghani asked in a stifled voice.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Why, Bylla, why?" Ghani kept shouting. "Why do you insist on marrying her, when we love each other! Before the relationship is halal, think about your happiness, as well as our happiness!" ghani continued without lowering intonation.
Bylla still did not reply, her heart pounding. Never had he seen Ghani this angry.
"Don't sacrifice your happiness, Bylla. Marry me!" ghani said firmly.
"Sorry, Ghani, I love her. My happiness is with him" replied Bylla.
"lik! You must be lying, Bylla!" ghani shouted, holding onto both of Bylla's shoulders.
"I can let you go if he's the one you love. But, not Bylla, your eyes say that feeling is still for me. I won't let the woman I love sacrifice her own happiness, whatever the reason." Ghani is approaching. The distance between them is almost non-existent.
"I love her, Ghani. I don't love you anymore." Bylla looked down and looked at the green grass on which she stood.
"Gear me in the eye and say that word! If you can do it, then I believe!" ghani said firmly.
A few minutes later, Bylla had not looked up. He even enjoys the breeze that wipes his long hair.
"Bylla!" call Ghani.
Bylla simply closed her eyes and let her tears continue to drip. In fact, now both his shoulders move up and down in rhythm with the sobbing.
"Bylla!"
"It's all over, Ghani. Whatever I feel, I can't cancel this marriage. In just five days, what can I do, Ghani?" Bylla looked up and looked at Ghani with tears in her eyes.
"So right, aren't you still feeling for me?"
"Yes, I love you so much. That's why I was so sick when I saw the news about you. The pain made me disappointed and desperate, and then did not dare to hope again. When I was down, Brother Rubben came with the love he had saved for a long time. I'm sure, until anytime I won't fall in love again. That's why, I accepted her proposal. I never thought that this was all a misunderstanding" Bylla explained at length.
"Why do you doubt me, Bylla? Why?" ask Ghani. "Now it's all clear, we both still love each other. Don't you want to change your decision, Bylla?" Ghani cupped Bylla's cheeks and looked at her lovingly.
"I'm sorry, Ghani. From the beginning, your job made me jealous. That's why, my trust is getting eroded more and more. Compared to your co-star, I am so lacking. Me, i___"
"I understand. I'm sorry, Bylla, should have listened to you and never gone to Jakarta. Bylla, now how do you decide, you're not getting married, are you?" ghani. Then, he wiped the tears of Bylla with both fingers.
"I'm sorry, Ghani. I can't change my decision. I know how painful it is to be left behind before a wedding. I wouldn't do that to anyone else. I don't love Brother Rubben, but I can't hurt him either" replied Bylla.
"Bylla, you can't hurt her, but you can hurt me and hurt yourself. I don't understand your way of thinking, Bylla!"
"Ghani, the invitation has been spread. Everyone knows that in five days my family and Kak Rubben's family are in a bond. If it was suddenly void, wouldn't it humiliate the two families? All this time, I've been giving hope to Brother Rubben, if I suddenly refuse to marry him, how does he feel?" bylla explained the point.
"But, Bylla."
"Ghani, you believe destiny is always beautiful and never wrong. If we're not together, maybe that's what's best for us. But if our destiny is to be together, God must have a way to unite us. I remember one of my teachers giving advice. Make the affairs of others easy, and God will make our affairs easier. Avoid hurting others, then God will keep us from hurt." Bylla stared fixedly at Ghani, hoping that the man would accept her decision.
"But, Bylla, I can't part with you." Ghani's eyes glazed over, she willingly dropped a little self-esteem in front of the beloved woman.
"You know more about religion. You must understand, Ghani. We can plan, but God determines our destiny. If our feelings are sincere and God is meridhoi, believe me, there must be a way for us together, without hurting and without hurting others. Whether today, tomorrow, or later. I cannot stand by you, but your name will always be mentioned in my prayers. Wherever you are, my prayers are with you, Ghani." Bylla wiped a drop of tears that drenched Ghani's cheeks.
Ghani did not answer, but hugged Bylla tightly. It hurts when the taste is still the same, but circumstances do not allow together.
"I understand, I understand very well your intentions, Bylla. From now on, we will live each other's lives. May you be happy with your marriage. Remove your feelings for me so as not to become a sin. Tomorrow I will fly to Indonesia and live my life there. I will also try to erase my feelings for you because it is not right to miss someone's wife. I'm sorry, I can't be there on your wedding day." Ghani rubbed Bylla's hair while tightly hugging her.
"Hopefully in Indonesia you get my replacement. May you be happy, Ghani" whispered Bylla.
The two shed tears in each other's arms. Their lips said long words, but their hearts chanted only one prayer. May the power of God give way together.
When feelings and circumstances are at a crossroads, love is scattered leaving the broken heart rubble. In a similar sense, both rely on the miracle of God.
