Rose: Zidane's panic
At Clarence's current residence the residents were gathering at the dining table. Zidane, Gracia and Vanya are enjoying their breakfast. But there's something strange there. There was one of them who looked like they were daydreaming. The person enjoys breakfast in a state of mind drifting everywhere.
"Pa, what's wrong? Papa's face looks so pale. Papa's sick?"
Ever since Gracia joined the dinner table, she has been astonished by the father's silent attitude without saying a word. The same thing Gracia saw in her mother. But his mother could still enjoy the food greedily, unlike his father who just stirred the food on the plate.
"Pa, Papa why?" gracia asked back.
"Huh?"
Zidane parroted. He was shocked when he heard his daughter's voice.
"Papa sick?"
"T-no. Papa ... Papa is fine" Zidane replied stammeringly.
"But Papa's face was very pale. Papa sure Papa's okay?"
Vanya immediately looked towards her husband upon hearing Gracia's question. He then scrunched his forehead. Her husband's face looked so pale, as if there was no blood flowing there. Fearing that her husband died quickly, Vanya pretended to be pityed and felt anxious. She was worried not because she saw him as sick, but worried because her husband had not determined on whom all the property of the Clarence family would be inherited.
"Zid, Gracia's right. Your face is as pale as a zombie. I'll call the doctor, okay?" said Vanya gently.
"I don't need a doctor and I'm fine" Zidane said.
I don't know, after what happened last night, Zidane is like living in two realms. His mind was very unsettled. She was afraid that Rose and her friends would reveal themselves to the media. Zidane is very unprepared if everyone in the country knows that he is a g*y. Note, g*y. To the size of a conglomerate like him, such a thing was a disgrace so despicable. "Pa, please don't be stubborn. Papa's sick, right?" urged Gracia.
"Papa says Papa's fine, Grace. Don't ask me again!" zidane snapped while slamming a spoon onto the table.
Vanya and Gracia were both shocked to see this. They then cast a glance at each other, but then immediately threw away their faces because they remembered their quarrel last night.
"Tomorrow night Adamar will bring home a woman to introduce to us all. I hope you two can keep a good attitude" Zidane told Vanya and Gracia.
"Is that Gheana?" ask Vanya with sparkling eyes.
"I don't know. He just said that the woman was the one he loved so much."
"I'm sure that woman must be from the Lutfer family. Ah, it's my pleasure that Adamar is finally getting married to the woman of our choice, Zid!"
Gracia bit her lower lip when she thought that the woman her sister was going to bring home was Gheana. But it wasn't him, it was Rose. The beautiful girl who used to be her sworn enemy in campus, where now the girl has officially become her sister-in-law. Rose is the wife of Adamar's sister, which means daughter-in-law in the Clarence family. Gracia could not imagine how surprised her father and mother would be when she found out that her brother was married. This house will definitely be directly hit by a big storm considering the standards of his father and mother who are so coveted son-in-law of a distinguished family.
Should I go to Rose to discuss this before Adamar brings her back here? I'm afraid he'll be in deep shock if he hears the mockery coming out of Papa's mouth. Even now Rose is my sister-in-law, and she helped me from the brink of destruction. I can't stay silent looking at all this.
"You two have breakfast. I want to go back to the room to rest!" zidane decided to leave. He was so panicked that he couldn't control his emotions.
"I'm taking Pa?" sahut Gracia then immediately approached the father who was about to step away.
"No need. You just finish your breakfast."
"I won't eat until I make sure Papa gets to the room" Gracia said. He didn't even care when the father glared at him. "Don't be mad, Pa. I didn't obey because I was worried Papa was okay. So let me be a good boy who is devoted to parents huh? Please."
"Get out."
"Pa?"
"Hm?"
Gracia bit her lower lip. He was a little scared when he wanted to say what he wanted.
"What's wrong?" ask Zidane.
"Em, it's '" Gracia replied nervously.
"What?"
"Can I go to Adam's apartment? I ... I need a lot of guidance from him so that later it will not be confused when entering the company," Gracia said in one breath. He deliberately reasoned like this so that his father would allow him to leave.
"To your sister's house again?" zidane asked suspiciously.
"Yes, Pa. I want to start learning business from Adamar."
Zidane breathed out strongly. His daughter has not graduated from college. So how could he possibly want to join the CL Group? Zidane doubts that Gracia's goal in Adamar's apartment was not his. But there were other intentions he didn't know about. Zidane's eyes were wide open when he realized there was a torn wound on the corner of his daughter's lip. But he regained his composure as soon as he remembered that the wound came from Vanya's hand slap when the two had a fight last night.
"Begging the driver to drive you there. And remember Gracia, coming home before sundown. If it's too late, don't expect you to go see your brother again" Zidane said.
Gracia nodded quickly. "Thank you very much, Pa. I promise before sunset I'll be home. Then I'll say yes, Pa."
After saying goodbye to Gracia's father, he hurried away from there. But when Gracia arrives outside the room, she must cross paths with her mother who just came.
"Grace," ....
"Don't talk to me first, Ma. My heart still hurts with what you did last night" Gracia said.
"Please listen to Mama first, baby. Mom did all this for a reason. Mama ....
Vanya's words had to stop when Gracia suddenly ran down the stairs. He then let out a long sigh while looking at the palm he used last night to slap his daughter's cheek.
"I'm sorry Mama, Grace. Mama knew Mama was wrong, Mama accidentally slapped you last night because you were ashamed to know the dark side that Mama had been doing. Please forgive Mama, son. Mama was very sorry," lamented Vanya softly then went into the room. She intends to go to Gheana to say if Adam will invite her to come home and introduce her as a future wife.
