Holding onto the wall, Mona walked down the stairs. Occasionally his forehead seemed to constrict when the wound on the soles of his feet was painful due to rubbing with ceramics.
"Sshh, that's so hard. My feet were just a little bit hurt. How does it feel to be someone with no feet? They must have felt much more difficult than I did" Mona muttered softly.
Grandma Shiren who happened to be about to climb the stairs was suffocated by surprise to see the grandson who was having difficulty walking. Half-running Grandma Shiren approached the granddaughter and helped her to walk down.
"Mona, why don't you just call Grandma or the waiter anyway? That wound on your leg hasn't healed yet, what if you just slipped down? Don't repeat again, will you?!" reprimand Grandma Shiren with a chest that was still pounding strongly.
Being rebuked like that by the grandmother made Mona giggle slowly. He then clasped his grandmother's hand which felt extremely cold like ice.
"I'm not that sick, Grandma. Why is Grandma so scared anyway?"
"Grandma's obviously scared, baby. You know that Grandma doesn't have anyone else but you and your Grandpa? So please don't ignore your safety anymore. Even if it was just a small wound still made Grandma worry. Grandma can't love seeing you get hurt" Grandma Shiren replied with a sad look.
"Mom, I'm sorry Mona. Mona didn't mean to make Grandma this sad. I was bored in my room, so I decided to go out alone. At these times, the servant's aunt is usually busy preparing dinner, so I don't want to add any hassles to them!" mona is obviously not. "I'm sorry, Grandma. I really didn't do it."
There was a long sigh after Grandma Shiren heard the explanation. She hugged her grandson who looked so guilty. Maybe Grandma Shiren's attitude is too excessive, or can be said that she is too possessive in loving her grandson. But for Grandma Shiren this is the best considering that since the baby Mona never got affection from her biological parents. Also since childhood his grandson is always bullied because he does not have parents like other children. That's why both Grandma Shiren and Grandpa Niel have always treated Mona with affection that may be a little outrageous.
"Ekhmm, what's going on? Why are you hugging without taking Grandpa?"
Mona and Grandma Shiren instantly turned their heads towards the door when they heard the voice of the man they loved so much.
"Grandfather, I miss you so much!" cry Mona while stretching her hands towards the grandfather.
"Aiyoo, Grandpa's favorite granddaughter why is this? Why is it suddenly so spoiled like this, hm?"
Laughing Grandpa Niel immediately hugged his grandson affectionately. He then kissed his wife's forehead, a woman who remained beautiful despite her age.
"Have something happened?" grandma Shiren asked as she stared fixedly at her husband's face that looked unusual.
"How do you mean?" grandpa Niel asked back.
"Your face looks radiant. Why?"
"Oh, this."
Before replying, Grandpa Niel led his wife and granddaughter to sit on the sofa. Not to forget he memapah Mona who still has difficulty walking and help him to sit.
"When Grandpa went to see a client at one of CL Group's hotels, he was accidentally hit by the hotel's owner,"
"I mean Grandpa, Grandpa was run over by Mr Adamar Clarence?" ask Mona in shock.
"Yes, that's right, dear. And you know who else Grandpa met at that hotel?"
Mona and Grandma Shiren compactly shook their heads. The two of them then waited very curiously about who the person that made Grandpa Niel look so happy was.
"Mr Greg Ma and his extended family."
"Geez!" shriek Grandma Shiren while covering her mouth. "So they're in this country, baby?"
"Yes, they are here to visit their grandchildren. Her name is Rosalinda" replied Grandpa Niel semringah.
"Rosalinda? Her name is very good" Mona chirped with a nod of her head.
"He's your friend, baby. Rose's."
"Rosalinda, Rose... Owhh gosh!!! Grandpa, this this how is this possible?"
Shiren's grandmother was as shocked as Mona knew that the girl who became her grandson's only friend turned out to be the granddaughter of her husband's former superior. Really, the world is really very narrow. How could there be such a coincidence?
"Yes, Mona. At first Grandfather was also very shocked when he found out about this. Had Adamar not told Grandpa that he wanted to go see his girlfriend, Grandpa would never have known that Mr. Greg and Mrs Liona were in this country. But Mona, there's one more surprise that Grandpa almost fainted when he heard it."
"What surprise is that, Cake? Geez Rose, it was unexpected that she came from a very influential family. It's really something really incredible. Isn't that Cake, Grandma?"
"Yes, Grandma also did not expect that Rose had a very great family. You are very lucky darling to be good friends with him, dear" replied Grandma moved.
Grandpa Niel nodded with a happy smile. He then told his granddaughter and wife about the status that had been established between Adamar and Rosalinda.
"My dear, now listen to one more surprise from Grandpa. This is the most important part!"
"Let's say it quickly, Cake. I can't wait to hear a big surprise about Rose!" sahut Mona enthusiastic.
"Rose and Adamar are married. At first Adamar told Grandpa that he wanted to visit his girlfriend who was on vacation with his extended family in the country. But when she brought Grandpa to see them, Adamar told her that she and Rose were married a few days ago. This is amazing news, right? Two human beings from influential families are united in the marriage rope. If everyone in this country had known that Clarence's family had as good a taste as the Ma family and the Osmonds, they would all have been very excited. All women in this country will definitely experience massive heartbreak. Right no?!"
Cloudy clouds immediately adorned Mona's face as soon as she knew that the person in her tribe had married someone else. His heart was broken, crushed to formless. Years of loving her in silence, Mona must swallow a bitter pill because her love has a life partner. He was hurt by his own imagination.
"T-Mister Adamar is married to Rose, Cake?" asked Mona in a stifled voice.
"Yes dear. They're a great couple, aren't they?"
Grandpa Niel's forehead puckered looking at his grandson's teary eyes. She's confused. But a second later Grandpa Niel gasped in shock upon realizing something.
"Mona, honey, do you like... Adamar?"
Grandma Shiren was shocked to hear her husband's question. He turned to Mona, whose face was covered in tears. Realizing that her granddaughter was having a broken heart, Grandma Shiren gave a warm hug to her. She then coded her husband not to discuss Adamar's marriage with Rose again.
"It's okay. Maybe Adamar isn't your soul mate, honey. There are still a lot of guys out there who are just as good as him. Don't be sad, yeah,"
"Hikss, Rose Grandma... Rose's."
Grandpa Niel's heart seemed to be crushed to the ground to hear his grandson's sobs. If only she knew that Mona liked Adamar, she would definitely not have said about this in front of her. Grandpa Niel really feels very guilty right now.
"Don't blame Rose, Mona. He doesn't know anything. This happiness is not your fate, so you should not harbor hatred for your own best friend just because of a man yes," Grandma Shiren advised her granddaughter.
Mona just kept quiet while sobbing in her grandmother's arms. It hurt so much, he felt betrayed.
Why Rose, why!
