Chapters 10. Denial Mark

In the morning of that day, the breakfast that Reda had made with Ryuunosuke was thrown forward by Aragaki-sama in front of everyone. It made the other four servants so shocked that no one dared to touch the food.

Eased up so shocked to see all the vegetables and soup he made thrown away with just one throw after Aragaki tasted it once.

Seeing that, Ryuunosuke directly approached his master. He was like a child whining to his father. Hysterically, he asked Aragaki.

“Aragaki-sama, why banished! Reda-sama and Ryuunosuke are already trying to make it together! This...this is Aragaki-sama's favorite food, why not taste and spend as usual?!”

“I would not eat food cooked with the dirty girl's hands. Clear everything. I still want to receive the breakfast Ryuunosuke made in 30 minutes. More than that, just save it for lunch.”

“But, all of it was already made by Reda-sama and Ryuunosuke..”.

“I don't want to eat it. Clean it up immediately.”

“Aragaki-sama!”

“Ryuunosuke...” Reda approached the already crying Ryuunosuke. He shook his head and asked him not to refute his master's orders.

“We settle immediately yes. Ryuunosuke has to make breakfast again. I'll throw the food away and wash the dishes. Come onl. It's only 30 minutes.” Reda still gave her smile.

The impervious Ryuunosuke holding back the tears instantly wiped them off and saluted Aragaki.

Reda took the dining place that was on her fourth table. Before taking it, Reda always said the same thing to everyone.

“I'm sorry. I have to throw this food away. Wait a minute until Ryuunosuke finishes cooking. Again, I'm sorry.”

“Ti–” Nagi wants to answer ‘no’ , but she stops her mouth to talk and lets the girl carry all her food on the table. Reda took them out one by one

In the midst of that silence, none of Aragaki's bodyguards helped her. They saw him take the food out of the room and pick up a cloth to wipe the tatami affected by the soup and other foods.

Of course the color does not change and everything Reda does is very free. But, he was trying to work as neatly and as well as possible.

“I'm sorry, Aragaki-sama. His eyes could not be cleaned completely. Later, I'll clean it back up.”

“That dirty Katami isn't as bad as having to see you in this room. Exit.” it is a very cold remark from the mouth of the ruler.

Reda simply swallowed the remark and went straight out. He did not forget to put a smile on Aragaki-sama and leave. Reda brought the fragments of the bowl that were still outside the room to be thrown away.

Ryuunosuke with his tears sobbing at the dishes Reda had painstakingly made had to be thrown away without being touched back by his master.

Reda who came brought the last meal into the kitchen and saw the little fox crying.

“Ryuunosuke, don't cry. The food will not taste good.”

“Hiks..Reda-sama..” the little fox hugged Reda. “Hiks..Aragaki-is very cruel to you, Reda-sama. Hiks..why.when the food is good. In fact, Reda-sama has already made it with great difficulty. Why should it be thrown in front of us like that?!”

Reda just hugged her and wiped her tears.

“Ryuunosuke, look at me. I'm it's okay. It's just beginning. We will make Aragaki-sama soft little by little. Everything needs a process. Let's fight ya.”

“But..but..”.

“30 minutes, Ryuunosuke. Aragaki-sama just waited 30 minutes for breakfast. I'll throw all this away so deliver the food yes.”

Ryuunosuke returned to cooking while holding back his tears. Reda who put on her smile stood up and threw all the food into a wooden bucket. Everything was thrown away without any rest.

Ryuunosuke saw that but did not say anything as he saw Reda's smile. The little fox was crying. She quickly wiped her tears and began to bring the food.

After Ryuunosuke left, Reda looked around and unwittingly, tears came out and began to wet her cheeks. He looked at the bucket containing the food he had made with Ryuunosuke.

“Sorry to have to throw all this away. Forgive me for wasting your food, Dewa.”

Reda did not want to continue crying and immediately wiped away her tears.

He helps Ryuunosuke who has not returned to bring him other food.

“Do not worry, Reda. There's still time until the sun goes down. Fight for your promise to Ryuunosuke.”

In the dining room, Aragaki looked calm without saying anything. The four loyal servants also no one dared to say anything to melt the atmosphere.

Until Ryuunosuke finally came to bring food for them. Ryuunosuke delivered everything and placed it on the table.

Ginko saw the little fox still crying.

“Ryuunosuke, are you okay?”

“...” Ryuunosuke was silent and did not answer him

Ginko only saw the little fox's ears and tail decline. He didn't see anyone there. Reda tried to walk as quietly as possible and put another meal in front of the door unbeknownst to Ryuunosuke.

Go back to the kitchen and bring some more food.

Ryuunosuke who was about to walk out saw the other food there and slightly smiled as Reda helped him. His ears and tail began to return to their normal state.

Aragaki noticed the poor girl's presence but she didn't say anything because the girl didn't go into the dining room.

As Ryuunosuke delivers the final side dish to Aragaki, the master asks his little fox.

“You don't want to come have breakfast with us too, Ryuunosuke?”

“Ryuunosuke will eat with Reda-sama from now on, so Aragaki-sama can eat with the others.”

Ryuunosuke went towards the kitchen.

Like being dumped by the little fox who is his favorite servant, looks disappointed face from Aragaki's expression and look in the eyes. Even so, he didn't bother about it.

Seeing the ruler begin to eat food at the table, the four servants ate his breakfast.

In the kitchen, Reda who finished helping Ryuunosuke secretly began to wash all his dishes and bowls. He does it very carefully. From the outside, there was the sound of running footsteps. Then, followed by a scream.

“Reda-sama, Reda-sama!”

Reda who just finished washing dishes got a hug from the little fox.

“Have finished delivering the food? Does Aragaki-sama want to eat it?”

“Already! Thank you for helping Ryuunosuke~”

“Sama-sama. I'm done washing the dishes and bowls. I'll take the food and throw it in the trash.”

“Do not! Let Ryuunosuke throw it away. We do the rest while waiting for Aragaki-sama to eat yes.”

Reda just nodded. Both do other work such as sweeping the grass and watering the plants. 30 Minutes later, Ryuunosuke intends to leave Reda who is still busy watering the plants to clean all the dishes.

But the girl refused.

“Ryuunosuke, I am trying to be a candidate for ‘bride’ here. If Ryuunosuke takes care of everything, I won't be able to make Aragaki-sama like me later.”

“But, Aragaki-sama will hurt your heart again.”

“No problem. I've heard that phrase a lot from the villagers, so I'm not sad. Trust.”

It was a lie that was hidden very well due to the smile on his face. Ryuunosuke finally agrees and invites Reda to go get the plate and bowl.

Upon arriving there, Aragaki had just wanted to leave the dining room with Nagi and the others. As soon as he saw Aragaki coming, Reda gave a smile and bowed to give her greetings.

“Aragaki-sama, do you enjoy breakfast?” ask the girl

The other four servants didn't mean anything bad but they made a deep comment.

“After being humiliated so, he still wants to pay his respects to Aragaki-sama. Big is also the guts.” thought Nagi

“If I were him, I probably wouldn't want to reprimand Aragaki-sama and choose to bow my head.” Hakuren thinks so too

“I'm sure he forced himself to show us that smile.” thought Kuroto

“Nushi-sama did not comment. That means we don't have to say anything.” Ginko said in his heart

Aragaki looked at her little fox beside the girl and said to her.

“Ryuunosuke, I do not forbid you to take care of that dirty girl. But, since she herself decided to become my servant as her ancestor promised, let her do all your duties.”

“What does it mean?” Ryuunosuke became panicked and confused

“From now on, he has to take care of this place. Clean up this whole house and do business in the garden. Except cooking and touching my clothes, let him clean everything by himself.”

Ryuunosuke approaches the master and cries again, but is driven by Nagi.

“Again, that was so cruel! Don't do that to Ryuunosuke. She's still a kid!” Ginko tries to defend him

Reda helps Ryuunosuke to stand up. The little fox tried to leave and pleaded back to his master, but was prevented by Reda.

“Ryuunosuke, don't make Aragaki-sama angry.”

“But..”.

“Aragaki-sama, I will do your command. From now on I will do the work Ryuunosuke did including sweeping and cleaning the floor. I beg you please forgive Ryuunosuke.”

Without commenting, Aragaki left them. The four servants could only follow the master.

After a long distance, Ryuunosuke cried again. This time she was crying so hard.

“Why Aragaki-sama is so cruel to Reda-sama. Reda-sama is different from other girls. Reda-sama is not evil! Why don't you want to see it. Ryuunosuke.Ryuunosuke hates Aragaki-sama. Huwaaa..”.

Reda hugged him. He tried to comfort the little fox.

“Ryuunosuke, don't say that. Remember that it is still very long. We still have plenty of time to make Aragaki-sama smile. Don't worry, I'll smile and won't cry.”

“Hiks...but..but..”.

“If Ryuunosuke is patient, it will definitely work. I won't cry so Ryuunosuke won't cry either. Stop defending me because I don't want Ryuunosuke to be punished.”

Ryuunosuke hugged the girl tightly while draining the rest of his tears. After that, the little fox helped Reda carry the dishes and bowls in the room and let the girl do her job as instructed by her master.
