Devano POVs.
"Devan, don't males your malesan ya, follow Dad to the fields right now!" my father ordered me when I was lying in my room because I felt pain in my stomach.
"Devano is sick again Mas, you understand a little bit the same condition, can not really?" sidelines my mother while bringing warm tea into my room.
"Drink first son, this warm tea can relieve pain in your stomach, that" said my mother with full attention.
In my family, it was only my mother who treated me gently, attentively, and affectionately. While others always press, force, and rule me as they want.
"Lastri, you always have Devano, he wants to be a soldier, so he must be strong and must not be weak and spoiled like this!" scold my father while pulling my leg and dragging him out of the room without feeling.
I just kept quiet because I was busy with the sensation of pain in my stomach and my heart.
"You're a really mean father, Mas!" shouted my mother, whose eyes were already teary because she saw me being treated badly by my own biological father.
"It's for her own good, Lastri. Devano must be a strong man and not weak even in a state of pain!" dad concluded while looking at me with his intimidating look.
"Then why didn't Hardi get the same treatment, huh?! Isn't he a boy?" my mother protested angrily.
"Hardi is different because he wants to be a doctor, so I don't tell him to train physically, the task he just needs to learn and learn," cetus my father who immediately made my heart envious because of unfair treatment.
"Wake up! You must follow Dad to the fields" my father ordered in his authoritarian tone.
"Okay, Dad," I said as I stood and held onto my stomach which was really painful.
"Bring the machine!" tell my father while pointing to a water suction machine that is heavy enough to carry.
"Ba..well, father," I said in a brick-styled voice.
I lifted the machine with both hands and held it up and placed it on my right shoulder. Then I greeted my mother before finally going to follow my father while enduring this pain and pain in my stomach.
"Be careful son" my mother said in a voice that sounded bitter.
I nodded and smiled at him so that he would not worry too much about my situation.
****
In the afternoon I came to the school rooftop and laid my tired body there while staring at the beautiful twilight sky able to relieve pain in the stomach and in my heart.
"Why should I be born just to meet my father's expectations?!" I shouted while shedding my tired tears.
"Why have I never received justice even from my own family?!" I shouted in a voice muffled by lara's cries.
"Why do I never have the right to decide what I want and what I don't want.hiks, why?!" my screams while hitting the floor hard until my hand bled from it.
"Gue's weak, I'm stupid, I'm just my dad's pet!" I shouted as I sat down and hit the floor again, no matter if my hand was going to break though.
A few moments later the sound of someone's footsteps surprised me, I looked up to see who was coming towards me. And apparently she was Aisyah, the next Junior High girl who at that time spilled her fried food and plastic ice onto my face and clothes.
"Loe's Napain here?" I asked with cold.
"It was about to see dusk, but unfortunately this afternoon is cloudy."
"What are you going to do here?" He asked me back.
"It's none of your business" I replied coldly.
I was hoping that Aisyah would leave this rooftop soon, but unfortunately she was sitting next to me holding her hand and looking at my face.
"Sister nangis huh?" asked Aisyah who made me immediately wipe the tear marks on my cheek.
"Geez, brother's hand why? How bloody is that?"
Aisyah immediately looked worried when she saw the wounds on both of my hands.
"Let me take it, brother," he said as he grabbed my hand and blew it right in his wound seriously.
I fell silent as I looked at Aisyah with a feeling of dignity in my heart, she became the only woman other than my mother who treated me with this kind of care and tenderness.
"If I get hurt my mother will blow my nipple like this, brother. He said so that my wounds would dry and heal," said Aisyah with her innocent face that slightly comforted me.
"The truth is, the wound will heal if treated, not in an inflatable like a gini candle," my dream that made Aisyah immediately smile wide to reveal her white teeth.
"Then, brother don't go anywhere, I want to buy red medicine same tissue to heal brother's wounds," he said, who then ran to leave me to buy medicine for wounds on my hands.
"A dainty, funny, and has a sweet smile that can rub off on anyone who sees it" I described Aisyah as staring at her back from a distance.
Shortly after Aisyah came down from the rooftop, heavy rain fell and immediately flushed against my body. Complementing the pain that still imprints in my mind and also my stomach.
This morning I was told to go straight to my father's practice silat in my teacher's garden, the afternoon when I just came home and started to get sick, stomach, I was still told to follow Dad to the field while carrying a fairly heavy water suction machine. After that I was ordered to water the plants, until finally this afternoon I decided not to go home and chose to go to the school rooftop because I was not strong if I had to be told again by my father.
The more heavy the rain will make the temperature of the cold air, as a result I shiver and feel dizzy let alone pain in my stomach is increasingly felt and makes me weak.
I threw it down and fell on the cold floor and in the rain. Right now I'm resigned and it doesn't matter if I die now because it's useless if I live entangled in the hands of my dictatorial father and full of obsession.
But apparently the Powerful One did not let me die, for soon Aisha came to paddle me and let her own body get wet in the rain.
"So I woke up, I bought plaster, red medicine and food for my sister" he said, sincerely extending his tiny hand to me.
I accepted the words and stood up while holding her umbrella.
"We go down yuk, there is a chair that we can use to sit and shelter until the rain subsides," Aisyah invited me who then led me without waiting for my approval, maybe because he knew I was too weak to even talk.
"Hand sis, big sister's body seems very lemes, I'm afraid I can not support the body of brother," said Aisyah worriedly as we both went down the stairs.
And upon arriving at the corridor of the classroom that provided a long bench, Aisyah and I sat there. Then I put the umbrella that we used to wear to the floor, then after that I leaned my dizzy head against the corridor wall.
While Aisyah immediately grabbed my hands and smeared red medicine on my wound that was not bleeding because of the rain. He was so deft and painstaking in treating the wounds on both hands, despite being 4 years younger than me, yet his caring attitude was much more mature than mine.
"Udah is done" Aisyah said after treating my wounds.
"Definitely a pain, brother?" tanyanya while looking at me.
"Hem..," I muttered, still feeling a tremendous pain in my stomach and my head.
Aisha opened the bread and poured it on me.
"Front big sister, definitely have not eaten," said the 14-year-old boy knew it to me.
While gulping I finally received the bread then I quickly ate and finished it.
"Thank you," I said as I looked at Aisyah's face who had noticed how I ate.
"Same brother," Aisyah replied with a warm smile to me.
"Oh yes, if I may know, whose sister's name is?" ask Aisyah.
"Devan," I answered briefly.
"Sister Devan don't despair yes, there are still many in this world who care about Brother Devan."
"And no matter how heavy the burden that befalls your life, please do not ever call yourself sick, sis. Because it is not possible to lift the burden of my brother's life," Aisyah's message while rubbing my shoulder which is now vibrating because of my sobbing.
"Thank you, Ayesha," I said, turning my head and looking at her innocent face.
