The Woman Who Was Hurt

The Woman Who Was Hurt
Part 41 | Make Peace with the Past

The luxurious room looked gripping due to a fierce quarrel between the mother and her eldest son.

"Eomma, can you just appreciate your son's decision?" pinta Lee while looking at her mother with teary eyes.

"What did you say? Appreciate? How can I appreciate your fatal decision?!"

"You have betrayed the faith that eomma taught you to be born only for the sake of that woman!"

Lee looked at his mother in disappointment. "As for eomma know yea, I converted to Islam not for the sake of Aisha, but for the sake of Allah, Allah who has guided me through my friendship with Aisha," corrects Lee with bawling breath for restraining his emotions.

"Whatever! Whatever you say, eomma doesn't care anymore, and from now on don't expect eomma to bless your relationship with the woman you married!" exclaimed the mother who made Lee clench her hands withholding the growing emotions and disappointment.

"I didn't expect eomma to be this much the same as me" said Lee, who then left his mother's room with tears of disappointment.

"Look at Lee, eomma won't let you get any closer to that woman, as soon as she'll plan something to keep you away from her."

Lee went to the studio and looked for Aisyah to tell her about her quarrel with her mother this morning, but unfortunately she did not find Aisyah in any room. Apparently Aisyah is plunging into the field with her team to shoot the latest DSL beauty care products.

Finally Lee decided to meet Avila who was editing the portraits of photographers while sitting casually on the sofa of his study.

Without a sound Lee sat next to Avila and made the tomboy girl with a grin in surprise when she found him.

"Hi little tiger, we haven't talked for a long time, you don't miss Oppa?" asked Lee while raising his thick eyebrows.

Avila immediately normalized her nervousness and looked at Lee with a wide smile. "Oppa, you finally want me again," replied Avila who made Lee laugh crisply and hugged her tightly.

"My little sister misses me, hm?" lee whispered while stroking Avila's hair as he often did to Stevani, his younger brother.

Lee did not realize that his treatment just now made Avila's heart pound very fast, even so nervous his tomboy girl had almost forgotten how to breathe if only Lee did not immediately take off his embrace.

"Obviously I miss, it's been almost a week I don't talk like this with Oppa," said Avila with a sad look.

"I'm sorry, Oppa has been busy lately" Lee said.

Jealousy suddenly appeared in Avila's heart. "I mean Oppa is busy nemenin Aisyah?" with a lazy face.

Lee scrunched his forehead in wonder, it was not usual for Avila to behave like that. "I do have the same busyness Aisyah," replied Lee honestly.

"Why? You don't like it?" look at Lee who is still astonished.

"Hahaha, the real time I don't like it anyway," concluded Avila while laughing misbehaved.

"I don't think I like that, do I?" ask Avila who was responded by Lee.

"Emh, yuk lunch, it's already resting hours," Avila asked with a big smile.

"OK, where?"

"Where is it in Warung Padang across the street?" avila motion.

"Again," said Lee who then grabbed Avila's hand and grasped it to the destination.

"I don't expect to be loved by you, because being your adopted sister is enough to make me happy," inner Avila with a smile looked at the face of Lee who was so handsome and shining even though the man was having a lot of problems in his life.

Elsewhere Aisyah and Robbie and a make up artist were sitting resting on a long bench next to a shady mango tree.

"What time are we going home?" ask Robbie Aisyah.

"An hour is like that" Robbie replied while brewing instant noodles in a cup.

"Eat this," said Robbie as he held out the instant noodles he had finished brewing earlier.

"Together," Robbie replied with a sweet smile. Then the man brewed instant noodles for his own lunch.

Aisyah started devouring instant noodles from Robbie while looking at her camera portrait just a moment ago.

"Aisyah, you know that Avila doesn't like Lee?" ask Robbie.

Aisyah's face was suddenly gloomy from feeling guilty. "Even I know better than you do, Bie."

"I have the heart of Avi, already know Avi likes Lee, but I'm still close to Lee," said Aisyah felt guilty.

Robbie stopped his eating and turned to Aisyah and shook his head in disapproval.

"You can't say that, Ayesha. Avila was sincere that Lee chose you because she also understood that she couldn't force Lee to love her, so don't ever feel guilty again, okay?"

Aisyah nodded and smiled, coinciding with that her phone rang.

"Hello, Assalamualaikum," said the bass voice from across the phone.

"Wa'alaikumsalam," replied Aisyah who already knew that the one who called her at this time was Devano because she memorized the bass voice of her ex-husband.

"What else is it?" ask Aisyah flat.

"I want to see you, there are important things that I have to talk to you about" Devano replied without further ado.

"I can't," Aisyah refused selfishly.

"But this is an important issue, Aisyah," Devano said.

"Devan, we have no interest to discuss anymore, mending from now on you don't have to call me anymore because I don't have time to serve your words," aisyah's toilet hurt Devano's feelings.

"I didn't expect you to change so drastically, Shah," Devano muttered in a trembling voice that sounded bitter.

The tears that Ayesha had originally endured were now melting wetting her cheeks. "I became like this because your cruelty in the past still imprinted so deeply in my heart Dev" he said with raucous.

Then Aisyah got up, left her instant noodles on the bench then moved away from her team including Robbie so as not to invite attention.

"I realize Aisha, I used to hurt you a lot, but can you make peace with the past once?"

Aisyah cried in silence, she only realized that she was wrong if she continued to treat Devano badly. Hasn't his heart ever promised to resist vengeance against anyone who has ever hurt him?

"Okay, but what's important we'll talk about later?" asked Aisyah who finally agreed to meet with Devano.

"This is about the death of Dasha, which I think is quite mysterious," replied Devano, who made Aisyah's eyes immediately round because of surprise and wonder why Devano could feel the peculiarity behind the death of their daughter, Dasha.

"OK, two o'clock in the afternoon we meet at the Pomegranate Cafe." Aisyah's voice turned enthusiastic because what Devano would discuss with her later was the death of her daughter who was quite mysterious.
