Aisha POV.
When I entered the room of the ICU Devano, I found Rifa crying beside Devano, her crying sounded so heartbreaking and so bitter, that I found it difficult to describe it with words.
"Devaann, until when did you make me tormented like this?"
"Now please wake up, the woman you always called has come for you, dear," whispered Rifa as she stroked Devano's hair with a loving and also wistful look in her eyes.
I walked over to Rifa and just fell silent while looking at Devano's face that looked so pale and cold.
"If Devano had never married you, he wouldn't have been this miserable!" rifa's toilet moved tightly gripping my shoulder.
"Why? Why do you have to be present in Devano's life?!" rifa said as she pulled me away from the blankar where Devano lay in a coma.
"If I could manage my destiny, I wouldn't have agreed to marry Devano, who loves you more than anyone" I said with tears ready to fall on my cheeks.
"If I knew it would end up like this, I wouldn't have agreed to the match, because I wanted to see Devano as happy as you want him to be." My voice began to falter when I said it.
Although my heart has become accustomed to the name of the wound, it still feels like it will always hurt and make me powerless to hold back these tears.
Now Rifa looked at me with such a strong look of hatred in her eyes.
"You're saying it's destiny?...Huh! Have you forgotten that you yourself started this destruction? You were married to Devano when he was my fiance!" rifa said with a look in her injured eye that instantly made me feel guilty about her.
"I had no other choice, at that time I was in dire need of a huge fee for my father's treatment! Honestly, I only thought about my father's recovery when agreeing to the match," I explained sobbing.
PLAQUE....
The pain crept down my right cheek from the loud slap from Rifa. I didn't expect Rifa to do this kind of violence to me anymore.
I looked up and looked at him while holding my cheek which still felt sore. Lucky a few seconds later the ICU door opened and showed Lee who immediately barged in and immediately approached me with a worried face.
Seeing that there was a slap on my cheek made Lee angry and got up and then without me guessing he immediately slapped Rifa's cheek even harder than the woman did to me earlier.
"Gurgh!"
"Can you appreciate Aisyah's efforts to visit your beloved comatose man?" lee said in a soft but sharp voice.
"Lee, I'm surprised that just like you, why would you defend a widow like her?" Rifa's question made Lee more emotional.
"A widow like Aisyah is much more valuable than a girl who defames and does what she wants" Lee said, pulling my hand out of the ICU room, leaving the swearing Rifa did not accept.
"I'm anterin you're coming home?" haggar Lee while looking at me attentively.
"No, I want to be here, Devano is in need of me Lee," I refused subtly but immediately made Lee's face flushed for whatever reason.
"Even when you're hurt, you still have time to think about Devano? Huft, how much do you love him?" I fell silent as Lee blurted out the sentence with an injured look that made me feel guilty for him immediately.
"You want to know why I keep insisting on helping Devano?" I asked as I returned Lee's gaze.
"When he was sick, nobody would care about him, when he was injured, he never got the cure, when he was scared, nobody was willing to protect him. In Devan's family, only his mother is understanding...."
"Therefore, after the death of his mother, Devano became an increasingly fragile man, desperate, and almost ended his life," I continued with eyes that began to glaze over because I remembered the times when I was the reinforcement.
"At that time Devano intended to jump from the rooftop because he considered that he was the cause of his mother's death, pedahal whose name is death is the destiny of every living person,"
"If I may know, what did Devano's mother die of?"
"Is he sick?" asked Lee with a concerned face.
"His mother was depressed because she always saw Devan being hurt by her father, it was depression that caused her to have a heart attack until she died" I explained, holding back the tightness in the heart cavity.
"More suffocating, his mother had left Devano to me the day before his departure" I said, holding back a cry.
"He said that I was Devano's first friend, and he told me to keep Devano company at all times...."
"That message made me finally think that I should accompany Devano forever and make sure he's happy" I said.
"If Devano is happy with another woman, would you still be with her?" lee's question was like a wake-up call to me that there was still Rifa between me and Devano.
"Dear of? why silence?" lee asked as he looked at my face.
"Emh, we better have lunch first yuk," said I who diverted the conversation because honestly it was difficult to answer Lee's question earlier.
"Okay, where do you want lunch?" lee asked who seemed to understand that I didn't want to talk about Devano's relationship with Rifa.
"Aisha, you're dumb again, I asked again, where do you want to eat?" repeat Lee.
"At the hospital canteen" I replied briefly with a faint smile.
*****
After lunch, Lee and I talked a lot about her personal life.
"Aisyah, eomma wants to see you, do you want to make time for her?" asked Lee with a hopeful face.
"Okay, I'm happy to see your mother Lee" I replied excitedly because this was the first time Lee asked me to meet her mother since our three-year friendship.
"But.my mother is a little sensitive about faith, do you still want to see her?"
"Quietly, Lee.so I don't mind, I even like to meet your mother," I replied which then made Lee smile sweetly while looking at me.
"Thank you, Shah...."
"When you know that I love you, Aisha."
