Part 69 | Custody Switch

The heavy rain made most of the people who just came home from work that afternoon choose to stop by the coffee shop where Devano works as a Waiter and Barista.

The orders that soared up kept Devano busy until he forgot that it turned out that his working hours had ended ten minutes ago.

"Eh, Bang, your shift is already running, now it's my shift."

When Devano was changing clothes in the dressing room, a colleague came to him and said that in front of the tavern there was a woman looking for Devano.

"That's because Dasha's the only one I can think of as family, Mas."

"You mean before I met my daughter I'd just stay alone?" devano asked as he observed Sierra's pale-looking and mellow face.

"Yes, right. Both my parents, my husband, and my sister... Everything's gone, my dear."

"Oh my God, I'm sorry, Ma'am."

Sierra wiped away the tears that almost dripped down his cheeks. "I have lost everyone I love, so please let Dasha stay with me."

"I promise I won't stop Mas Devan or Mbak Aisyah from meeting Dasha."

"My life will probably not be long, with Dasha beside me, my life will not end in loneliness."

"Don't talk like that, Ma'am. No man knows when his life will end. Only Allah is All-Knowing."

Devano held out a tissue to Sierra and let the woman cry, expressing the sadness that had been kept tight in her heart.

"It's getting late, Mommy want me to take you home?" hail Devano after Sierra's cries stop.

Devano smiled as he shook his head.

"All I want to see is Dasha."

"Ooh yeah, I can."

Devano then gave his leather jacket to Sierra. "Wear this Ma'am, the rain is still not over."

"Lho, no need. My car's close, '" subtly push Sierra.

"Please Ma'am, wear my jacket?"

Seeing the staunch Devano ask him to wear a jacket to protect his head from the rain made Sierra smile meaningfully.

"Well, if Mas Devan insists, I'll wear his jacket." Sierra received the jacket that Devano lent him and placed it overhead to keep the rain from wetting it.

"Thank you, Mas Devan."

"Sama-sama Mbak," replied Devano who walked rain behind the Sierra.

"Had expected, Mas Devan was a very gentle and considerate man," Sierra's inner admiration.

Two police officers came to the Lee family home and made the whole house stir, especially Mrs Lee Ni Na who felt she had committed a crime.

"Mother Lee Ni Na, you we're arresting you for attempted murder. Now come with us to the police station."

"What the fuck is this, sir? I have never committed such a crime, it must be slander."

"You can give an explanation when the police station arrives." A police officer handcuffed Mrs Lee Ni Na's hand.

"Yeobo, why are you quiet?!" mrs Lee Ni Na shouted while looking at the husband who had no intention of obstructing the police or defending himself.

"Steffany, please tell this cop that eomma's innocent, baby."

"Sorry, eomma. I can't, hyks. I don't want to stand up for bad guys like eomma" Steffany said with a broken heart.

Which child is not sad when he sees his mother go to prison. But from the beginning Steffany was willing because for her the mother deserves punishment for the crime she committed to Aisyah the other day.

"Steffy, you have the heart to see eomma go to jail, huh?! Your bastard son yah!" madam Lee Ni Na shouted while trying to break away.

"Sir police, quickly take my wife," Steffany's father ordered decisively.

Madam Lee Ni Na looked at her husband with a hurt look mixed in anger.

"Yeobo, you can't let me be like this!"

"I'm sorry, eomma. I'm like this because I love eomma. I don't want eomma to be a bad guy constantly. I want eomma to be aware and reflect on the mistakes that eomma has made," Lee said, crying sobbing in his room.

"I'm sure, as soon as Hyung's mother will realize and understand where the fault lies," Robbie said as he patted Lee's shoulder to calm his best friend.

After returning from Bali, Robbie immediately went to Lee's apartment and it turns out that his best friend was in need of presence and support from him.

"Robbie, can I hug you?" suddenly asked Lee.

"Well, with pleasure. Here Hyung." Robbie stretched out his arms to hug Lee.

"Thank you, I promise that if I get married, you'll be a special guest."

"Well? Now people are sad again and still had time to talk about marriage," said Robbie.

Lee chuckled then took off Robbie's embrace and gently hit his sidekick's shoulder.
