Part 43 | Something Wrong

When Devano and Aisyah had finished discussing the suspicions about the death of their daughter Dasha, Devano decided to drive Aisyah home but when she was about to stop the taxi, she decided to drive Aisyah home, a black-colored car unexpectedly rushed towards Aisyah, with all his strength Devano pulled Aisyah but she lost quickly and finally Aisyah was dragged down and unconscious because her head hit the sidewalk.

Not only Aisyah, Devano was injured because the man lost his balance while saving Aisyah, next to Devano's legs that have not been fully healed was hit and made him fall down on the rocks next to Aisyah roadside.

Amidst the panic and also her pain Devano crawled closer to Aisyah. "Dear, Aisha! Wake up!" devano shouted along with the flow of tears mixed with blood from his injured temple.

"Wake up!" devano shouted as he called 119 for help.

Before long people began to swarm and some were chasing the black car that had hit Aisyah and Devano. But unfortunately it was too late because the black car without the license plate had disappeared either turn in which direction.

While waiting for the Ambulance to arrive, Devano immediately contacted Avila and Lee to inform him that Aisyah was in an accident and five minutes later Lee came with Avila. The ambulance arrived and officers from his hospital immediately brought Aisyah and Devano to rescue.

"Hiks hiks, Ayesha will be good, right, Oppa?" ask Avila while crying.

Lee clenched his hands to contain the anxiety that now also dominates him.

"God willing, Aisha will be well now let us pray that Allah will give protection and salvation to Aisha."

"Aamiin, hiks...." Avila continued to cry as she pleased beside Lee who was driving her car following the Ambulance that took Aisyah and Devano to the hospital.

With attention Lee rubbed the tears on Avila's cheeks with his fingers and gently stroked the top of Avila's head.

"Crying cannot save Aisha, so it is better to pray for her, understand?" Lee's successful advice made Avila stop crying and begin to pray inwardly for Aisha's safety.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Devano and Aisyah were immediately taken to the ER to get first aid. While Lee and Avila could only wait for the two at the door of the ER with anxious feelings that clenched their chests.

Half an hour later Lee approached a doctor who had just come out of the ER, with anxious feelings Lee immediately asked about how Aisyah's condition was now to the doctor.

"How's my best friend doc?" ask Lee worriedly.

The doctor looked at Lee and then he put a smile on his lips.

"The patient is still unconscious, but don't worry, the impact on his head is not so severe, soon he will be aware and we will move him to the inpatient room. Is there anything to ask again?"

"Then what about the condition of the person who was with my female friend? lee asked about Devano.

"Oh, Captain Devan?" Apparently the doctor knew Devano.

"Yes, is he okay? asked Lee curiously.

"You could say he was quite severe, precisely in the part of his leg that has not been fully healed is now injured again" replied the doctor.

Lee just shook his head with a concerned face.

"For example, there is something to ask again, just meet me in my room, sir, excuse me."

"Alright doc, please," Lee said with a warm smile.

Then after the Doctor left Avila who was originally sitting in the waiting chair immediately stood up and approached Lee.

"Where is Aisha?" asked Avila with a raucous voice and puffy eyes.

Lee summarized Avila's face then looked at her with a shady look. "God willing Aisha will soon be aware, said the doctor the impact on her head is not too severe," explained Lee who finally can make Avila breathe a sigh of relief.

"Alhamdulillahi rabbil’alamin... Thank You for Your help and protection, O God." Avila uttered a sentence of gratitude and Lee followed her inwardly.

With blurry eyes and a dizzy head, Devano looked around his room to look for Aisyah's whereabouts because the first thing that came to his mind after waking up from fainting was Aisyah.

"Aisyah," call Devano who gets no answer from anyone.

"Dear of it! You have to endure, if you do anything, I will no longer be able to forgive myself!" said Devano while holding his dizzy head.

The door to Devano's nursery opened and a nurse came inside carrying a medicine and a copy of the infusion for her.

"Yes, Alhamdulillah. But how was the woman with me?" devano asked with a worried look.

The nurse smiled meaningfully. "He's conscious and things are starting to improve, we've moved him to the inpatient room, so don't worry too much, sir" the nurse explained.

Devano was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief after hearing the explanation from Sister just now, she regained her body on the bed with a slightly calmer feeling.

"Pak Devano should be more worried about Mr. Devano's own condition" murmured the Sister while replacing the nearly exhausted infusion with a new one.

Like a numb person Devano looked at the face of the Sister who treated him with a confused look.

"What am I really doing?" tanyakanya.

"Did Mr. Devano not feel pain in the legs?" The nurse asked back.

"I'm not...." Devano didn't continue because he realized something.

"Wait, is my leg completely paralyzed?" devano asked with a pias face.

"It's probably so, sir." The answer made Devano's heart crumble, but he was very grateful that at least Aisyah was fine.

"Please take me to Aisyah's nursery," Devano's pinta with a sad face that makes her sisters feel pity and immediately obey her will.

"Okay sir, I'll take the wheelchair first."

As soon as Devano walked into Aisyah's nursery, Lee who was there immediately looked at her face with a look of anger. The narrow-eyed man approached Devano and unexpectedly punched Devano in the face until his owner almost fell out of a wheelchair.

"Astaghfirullah Lee!!" yelled Aisyah who was surprised to see Lee acting rudely towards Devano who was already severely injured to save her.

"Opa!" Avila pulled Lee's hand and rubbed the broad shoulders of her adoptive sister to dampen her emotions.

"I think you'll be a little bit smug in looking after Aisyah, but it turns out that my thinking is wrong, you can only put Aisyah in danger" Lee said, staring at Devano with a sharp gaze.

"From now on, I won't let you see Ayesha again for whatever reason." Lee insists that Devano stay as far away from Aisyah's life as possible because she doesn't want the woman she loves to be in danger.
