BA #55 - Behind A Mistake

"I just came home to pick up Alira, Daniel!" racau Ryan while pulling Daniel's shirt collar.

"I know," replied Daniel softly then he forced Ryan inside.

"I love him, Daniel. I really love him, my heart is this...." Ryan held his chest and then he grimaced. "It hurts every time you see her, she loves me too, do you know that?" Ryan continued to fumble while Daniel was reluctant to respond even though the look in his eyes revealed such a deep wound.

"Daniel, I beg you. Just give Alira to me, she's not happy with you."

"Alira is comfortable with me, she loves me, she is happy with me."

Daniel takes Ryan to the room while Ryan keeps raving about Alira which makes Daniel feel so claustrophobic, sad, angry, disappointed, but he can't do anything.

Daniel put Ryan's already very drunk into bed, Daniel even took off Ryan's shoes before he finally left his half-sister who still continues to mess with it.

Daniel goes to his own room and his gaze is immediately drawn to the photo of his marriage to Alira.

"It's my fault, Al. I understand now, what really happened to my parents."

Ryan awoke as he felt the sunlight shining down on his face, holding his head in pain, Ryan sat up and watched the surroundings.

"Damn it!" Furious when Ryan realizes he is at Daniel's house, Ryan is reminded of the incident last night, where he was heartbroken trying to find solace with alcohol but somehow he could end up at Daniel's house.

Ryan also vaguely remembered what he had said to Daniel last night, it made Ryan panic.

After washing his face, Ryan immediately came out of the room and he found Daniel who was preparing breakfast at the dinner table.

Ryan felt awkward, slowly approached Daniel and when he realized his presence, Daniel turned his head.

"Please eat, I want to go to the office" Daniel said without showing a different attitude.

"You...." Ryan didn't know what to say, let alone Daniel being casual while Ryan already suspected Daniel would be very angry with him.

"Did I say something last night?" Ask Ryan then.

Daniel looked at Ryan deeply, he smiled obliquely and said. "Yes, you acknowledge your relationship with Alira," he replied, which made Ryan glare in surprise and even held his breath.

Ryan could only bow, he felt guilty, but when he remembered Daniel's treatment of Alira, Ryan looked up again and said. "Don't blame me or Alira, Daniel. I guess...."

"I know it's my fault" Daniel interrupted quickly but then he pulled on Ryan's shirt, looking at Ryan in anger. "But is this how it works, huh?"

"It just happened!" Ryan shouted as he took Daniel's hand off his shirt. "And I didn't come to apologize or plead guilty, I came to bring Aira!" Ryan made Daniel smile wryly.

"She's gone, I don't know where" Daniel replied coldly.

"You must be lying!" accusation Ryan. "You're obsessed with her, you must be hiding her, right?"

"Then, yes," replied Daniel. "But not now, I'm tired of loving this way, Ryan. I let Alira go because I thought she was deliberately running away from me for you!" Ryan was silent for a moment to hear Daniel's words, as it seemed that Daniel knew of his affair with Alira before Ryan admitted it.

"Why?" Daniel asked Ryan who was silent.

"When do you know?" Ask Ryan.

"Yesterday" replied Daniel, and now he looked fragile.

"When I was looking for Alira, I was looking for everything about her until Tessa told me that all this time you've been asking about Alira. At first, I thought you only cared because she was my wife, but it turned out...." Daniel pulled out Alira's phone.

"You talk so much and so often!" Hiss Daniel while showing a list of calls from Alira's phone. "And I realized it's too late, Ryan. You know what I regret? Why should you, Ryan? My own sister?"

Ryan was stunned, he was unable to speak anymore, especially when he saw the deep wounds in Daniel's eyes. But Ryan was also surprised, because Daniel did not beat him.

"Don't you think I'm not mad, Ryan! For God's sake I'm so angry that I made me want to kill you both!" The sizzle of Daniel again with eyes now reddened. Pain, disappointment, anger, all mixed into one.

"But then I remember how our marriage went all this time, he was wrong, betraying our marriage with my sister that would be the biggest mistake of his life, I wanted to curse Alira, but then I remembered, I was the one who gave him the chance and the reason he made this mistake."

Ryan could only be silent, and his heart was as if in a crumb when he saw Daniel shed tears.

"But if you love each other. Please get out of my life and I'll assume you're both dead!"
