The journey feels awkward. After a long time of not interacting, now having to sit in the car both feels strange and uncomfortable.
Fortunately the road was smooth. Because the day is still too early for activity. Only one or two vehicles were traveling.
The street was looking at the street from the window beside him. Until the Baskara's dehumanization broke the silence. The question the man asked.
"Why just got home?" baskara's voice remained flat expressionless. Like someone who doesn't want to ask. Just to fill the void. The young man was really curious.
"Huh?" confused Twilight. Meaning how? baskara's questions were quite ambiguous to him. Baskara asked why last semester he didn't come home and just came home now. Or ask why he just came home after two weeks off.
"Summer holidays started two weeks ago." added Baskara who knew the confusion of Dusk.
"Oohs.. There was an event just the same temen-temen."
His close friends took him on a trip. Of course he couldn't refuse. What else is a lot. And two weeks before going back to college, they will also hold the same event to a different place again. For that twilight will only be in Jakarta two months.
"Lo been back a long time?" ask Dusk because Baskara did not respond to anything.
"From day one."
Baskara wasn't too close to her friends there. Just a casual friend made him have no reason to stay on a vacation like this.
Dusk just pursed his lips in the shape of an 'o' and nodded. After that the situation returned to silence until Baskara stopped his car near one of the chicken porridge tents on the side of the road.
"Gue again wants to eat porridge, not pa-pa right?"
Dusk throbbed as Baskara got out of the car as soon as he asked. No waiting for an answer whether he is willing or not.
Even though Dusk was eager to get home. Can't wait to meet his family. Lazily, Dusk fell following Baskara and sat on the opposite chair.
"What message do you want?"
Dusk frowned amusedly. They're in the porridge tent. Of course pesen porridge. Is there any other choice but that?
But Dusk answered. "Chicken porridge does not use chives. Fried onions manyin. Satay eggs three. Drink some warm tea."
"Not changed." muttered Baskara slowly and approached the seller to make their order.
Dusk frowned when he heard Baskara muttering. But because the girl did not hear clearly, Dusk then put his shoulders indifferently.
They kept quiet again until their food was gone. Baskara was silent, ignoring the girl in front of him. In contrast to Dusk who smiled happily throughout eating the porridge of his order. Not expect the porridge that he did not want to be so delicious after one year never eat it.
Baskara who are confused should take Dusk where before going home after breakfast, choose the farthest detour to the housing where their house is located.
His mother told him to bring Dusk home at eight. At that time it was just seven in the morning. And their house only takes half an hour to travel. And Baskara had been stalling at breakfast.
"Why the hell is this way, Bas? distant times!" dusk protest as Baskara turned right on appeal to turn left at a crossroad towards their home.
"Car, my car. So the ones who are forbidden to protest." replied Baskara remained cold.
Dusk hissing. "Tau gini was in a taxi!"
I was tired of being on the plane for so long. A two-hour transit does not reduce fatigue. Although he uses first-class flights and is as comfortable as possible for a trip that takes a long time.
The girl who had chosen to close her eyes. Baskara tightened his grip on the wheel of the car. Preventing his hands from tidying up the messy twilight hair covered the girl's face.
He could have hated Dusk. Wreaked his anger towards Farri on the girl. Even though he knows Dusk is innocent here.
But no matter how much he tried to hate the girl who is now breathing regularly signifies that the girl is asleep, still his concern can not be lost.
They have been friends since they were even in the womb. Unfortunately as a friend even a brother is bigger than his sense of ego who tries to hate Dusk.
Baskara just needs a place to vent his anger and hatred. And he considers Dusk as the right person for him to blame for everything that happened.
After all, Dusk had already moved away from him and Orange. So Baskara felt that it did not matter if Dusk should he stay away from this unsubstantiated hate excuse.
Baskara honked her horn twice when she reached the towering high gate where Dusk and his family lived.
Security who already know Baskara immediately opened the gate that has used automatic gate technology. So Baskara did not take long to get in.
In the evening house, there are already several cars parked neatly. Including his parents' car.
Baskara grunting. They really welcomed the new Dusk home. When he came home ordinary. Only picked up the driver at the airport.
After parking the car right next to the father's car. Baskara shut off the engine and removed his seat belt. The young man tilted his seat facing Dusk and tried to wake the girl by touching the arm of Dusk with his index finger many times.
"Wake, Ja. It's good to be."
The girl squirmed with her eyes. Staring around and instantly his two eyeballs sparkled.
Without responding to Baskara who was still sitting next to him. Dusk hurriedly removed his seat belt and got out of the car. He ran to the door of the house he had long missed.
Baskara again snorted and came down, having previously asked the driver of the Dusk family who happened to be washing the car to take and bring the suitcase Dusk in.
Lean on the pillar not far from Dusk which is still pressing the bell because the house is locked.
Actually Baskara is not ready to come to the house. Not ready to see the happiness of the orange while he still can not rise from the pit of sadness.
If not for respecting the parents of Dusk and obeying his mother. Baskara must have chosen to go home.
The door leaf that was nearly three meters high swung opened to the left and right. Two similar men opened it.
"WELLCOME HOME AUNTY SENJAAAA.." cried all of them who were there. Except Baskara and Dusk of course.
Dusk chuckles to hear his name now. Ahh yaa. now he has become an aunty for a round-cheeked baby named Meisie Maharani who is called Sisi by him. Adorable baby who is in the middle of a young momma, his sister's wife and best friend, Orange.
