GIRL IN RED
CHAPTERS 165. GRANDMOTHER'S ANGER

Meanwhile in the main house, Grandma Layla Serkan put on a disappointed expression after hearing the report from Yaya the butler of her trust.

“Is it true that Arimbi put his head on the Emir's lap?” ask Layla to repeat.

“Desi saw with her own eyes. He went there to deliver some groceries to Miss Elisha and he saw the sight from afar.” Yaya replied.

Layla calmly said, “Tell Desi to go to the Emir's house and tell Arimbi that I want to meet him.”

“Good.” replied Yaya heeds orders from Layla with respect.

While Arimbi was completely unaware that his involuntary actions had reached Layla Serkan after being seen by the other servants.

He just kept grilling the fish and kept remembering that he had to feed the Emir well. At sunset, the fishing group finally returned home.

From a distance Arimbi saw that Desi was standing in front of his room and the first to feel his right eyelid twitching. Arimbi initially thought in his heart, if the twitch in the left puddle means it will get windfall but the right side signifies disaster. Grandma Layla Serkan must be trying to figure out her mistake again, she thought.

As Arimbi pushed the Emir closer, Desi stepped forward to greet the Emir respectfully before he turned around and spoke to Arimbi.

“Nona, Grandma Serkan wants to meet you. Would you like to come with me?” desi said as he continued to stare at the Emir's face as he spoke.

He sighed after realizing that the Emir's facial expression was illegible and as cold as ever. Desi turned her head and looked at Arimbi again to wait for his answer.

“Alright.” replied Arimbi released his grip on the Emir wheelchair seat and turned to ask him, “Emir, Grandma Serkan wants to meet me, so I will go there yes and will not be long. You come in first.”

“Go, do not let grandma wait for you long.” replied the Emir calmly.

Desi signals Arimbi to follow her. Arimbi followed Desi and none of them spoke all the way to the main house. They soon arrived at the main house.

Desi said to Arimbi as soon as they entered the main house, “Nona Arimbi, Granny Serkan is inside. Please login.”

“Thank you Desi.” said Arimbi.

Desi looked at the woman meaningfully then she turned around and left. After Desi's departure, the arimbi entered the main house alone. Layla was the only person who was seen in the lavish guest room. The old woman was sitting on the sofa holding a magazine while flipping through it.

Layla even ignored Arimbi, then she said in a cruel voice. “How long have you lived here? Haven't you been told that I don't like anyone talking while I'm reading?”

Arimbi fell silent and pursed his lips in response. After Layla said that, she just kept turning her magazine around and made Arimbi wait there for half an hour.

Layla finally closed the magazine in her hand and put it on her desk next to her. Then he raised his hand and fixed the location of his glasses as he directed a sharp look at Arimbi. At that time Arimbi clearly saw the hostility of Layla.

“Arimbi do you know your role after being brought back to this house by the Emir?” ask Lalya.

Arimbi stared at Layla unshakably. “Ya, I know the task.” the answer is calm. Arimbi had already said that he would take full responsibility for the Emir so he brought him back to the Serkan residence. Therefore, the Emir is his responsibility.

“Since you are aware of it, make sure you do not overstep the restrictions. It is true that we once went to your family and asked for your blessing but you refused the proposal. Our family did not use any tactics or deception to get what we wanted. So, since you refused to marry the Emir then we will not pursue you any further,”

“You and the Emir should have been restless ever since. Right now your only role is to take good care of the Emir and help him stand on his own two feet like he used to. Don't you dare keep other dreams. You once had a chance but have missed it.”

“Our family has strong principles! So once the opportunity is gone, never expect to get another chance. You're lucky we still let you stay here.”

At that time also Arimbi felt confused, “Grandmother Serkan, what have I done so that grandmother considers me to have exceeded the limit? I don't save wishful thinking at all.”

Layla answered coldly as her eyes on Arimbi, “Why are you leaning on the Emir and kissing him? Arimbi even though you grew up in the countryside I heard that your adoptive parents loved you and gave you the best education they could afford. They spend a lot of time educating you.”

“Did you not learn to keep your distance from the opposite sex? Do you think that by seducing the Emir, you will be able to get what you want? In this family, you won't be able to get anything even if you plan hard unless we give it to you willingly!” layla Serkan.

“That time you weren't happy to marry my disabled grandson and just kept thinking about his disability in bed, so stop seducing him. Basic women are shameless!” layla cried Serkan furiously and raised her voice.

“Grandmother, I have never underestimated the disabled Emir and all his shortcomings. I also had no idea about his inability in bed. In my eyes, he is a great man. From now on I vow never to look down on the Emir again. If anything concerns me, it is a lack of confidence in him.” replied Arimbi firmly.

“I also never thought to get anything from your family, so you can trust and see if I there take away your wealth. I never took anything that wasn't mine. But I make sure that I will fight for what belongs to me despite the life of the stakes! For example, the Rafaldi group belongs to my family. I will prevent anyone from taking over my family property!”

“You lied! You have the ability to say that you do not look down on the Emir! Who cut her wrists to refuse marriage, huh?” layla Serkan's anger was even more so because of the courage of Arimbi to reply to his words.

“Grandmother, I admit that back then my actions were a bit careless but I have taken lessons. Now I try my best to correct my mistakes. As I said earlier, from now on I will not look down on Emir and I will be very sorry for things that have happened in the past.”
