“I know how busy the Emir is, but I have an emergency so I have to meet him. A very urgent emergency. Please tell him that Arimbi Raffaldi is here to see him. She will definitely meet me after she knows that the one coming is me.”
Arimbi Raffaldi? It looks like the golden boy of the Rafaldi Family was swapped. The guard recalled how the case of the engagement between the Emir and Arimbi. Although the engagement did not pay off, the news was so widespread that some employees at the company knew it. Then the guard went and reported to the head of the security department. After her superior thought about it, she did not reject it and instead informed the office of Arimbi's arrival.
Finally the news of Arimbi's arrival reached the Emir Assistant after going through various company employees. Since Arimbi asked to meet with the Emir, the assistant could only strengthen himself when he pressed the intercom button to contact the Emir.
“Director, the second daughter of the Rafaldi Family would like to meet you. He's at the company entrance.”
The Emir was really surprised not to think that his wife would come to his office. He began to think whether he would take the time to see her or not.
“Director?” the secretary carefully called again after not hearing any answer coming from her boss.
“Let him enter.” said Emir finally.
The Emir immediately decided on the call after he gave permission. He was worried that he would change his mind if he answered too late. This was the first time Arimbi had entered the company after he had lived a second time.
No wonder it is the top company in Metro City. Everyone who escorted him to the Emir's office has been very polite to him ever since he walked into the building. It even started to make him nervous, it took him a few minutes to reach the top floor. When he got there, the Emir's secretary greeted him, “Good afternoon Miss Arimbi. I am the secretary of Director Serkan, Ciara Tamara.”
“It's nice to meet you Miss Ciara.” greet Arimbi with a friendly smile.
“The director is waiting for you in his room. Please followisaya.”
“Thanks Miss Ciara.”
Arimbi walks with Ciara, the office space occupying a very large area. Except for the upper floors, the other floors are crowded with employees working at the company. The upper floor was very quiet as it was the work space of the Emir and Ciara.
The sound of the secretary's high heels on the floor echoed throughout the quiet space. The two of them were now standing outside the director's door, Ciara raised her hand and knocked on the door. Then he pushed the door open and told Arimbi. “Please give me a minute Miss Rafaldi.”
Arimbi nodded without saying a word. Ciara walked into the director's room and Arimbi could hear the conversation between Ciara and the Emir.
Their conversation only lasted for a short while and Ciara walked out of the room and respectfully gestured for Arimbi to enter. “Director will see you now Miss Rafaldi.”
Arimbi took a deep breath and walked in. Ciara closed the door after Arimbi entered the room. At that moment Arimbi stopped his steps and turned to look at the closed door.
He had no choice, Arimbi turned around and saw the Emir sitting at the semi-circular table. He was wearing a suit paired with leather shoes and a light blue tie. He was so handsome that Arimbi could not turn away from him once his eyes were on him. He's a very interesting guy.
“Are you satisfied to see me?” emir said coldly while putting down his pen. Then he lifted his face from the documents in front of him and looked at Arimbi. Despite the distance between them, Arimbi could still feel a chill emanating from the man.
Now Arimbi abstained from retreating, having already entered the lion's den. He convinced himself to gather his courage.
Arimbi smiled sweetly and walked towards him, “I'm here to see you Emir.”
“You have met me, you can leave now.” replied the Emir coldly.
Whahuh? She must be so angry with me that she's cold to me. Arimbi tried his best not to waver as he inched behind his back and hugged his neck. Right then and there, the Emir forcibly released Arimbi's hand and nagged, “Touch me once again and I will call the bodyguard to drag you out of here!”
“Emir...” Arimbi groaned with a sad voice, deliberately dragging his voice to sound pitiful. “Colah. I'm sorry Emir. It's your fault I won't give you my handmade knickknacks again. I'll buy you something expensive okay?” Arimbi persuaded him like persuading a child. “Tell me what you like. I'll buy everything you like.”
The Emir's face instantly became tense and his thin lips fused together forming a tight line.
Noticing the Emir's silence, the woman peeked at the expression on her husband's face before taking off the imperial jade bracelet she always wore in her hands. Then he put the bracelet in front of him and said reluctantly, “This Imperial Jade Bracelet was given to me by my grandmother. This bracelet is made of expensive gemstones and I heard from Amanda that this bracelet was passed down by her grandmother to her mother. Her grandmother was of noble descent and this bracelet was truly antique. He's over a hundred years old.”
Arimbi let out a long sigh, “I think now the price of this bracelet can reach hundreds of billions of rupiah. I know it may not be something rare for you but it is the most precious item I have right now and I will give it to you. I hope you are heartened Emir. So please don't be mad at me anymore huh?”
Arimbi kept stealing glances at her to read her facial expression as she spoke. “Oh-Emir. Please remove the sour expression on your face. You are a very handsome man. I'm sure you'll look a lot better when you smile. Will you show a smile on your handsome face?”
The emir did not respond and just looked at the bracelet and took it. The bracelet was still warm from the heat of Arimbi's body because it was only one minute released from his hand.
After noticing and turning around to check it out, the Emir agreed that it was a good item. Imperial Jade Burma is the most expensive gemstone in the world with prices reaching millions of dollars so you can imagine how much it costs in rupiah.
Approximately billions or even trillion rupiah just for a bracelet. When the Emir realized from the corner of his eye that Arimbi seemed reluctant to part with his bracelet, he immediately felt like he had done something bad. “I will accept it because you want to give it to me.”
Eh? do men like bracelets too? Arimbi's reluctant eyes took off his bracelet continued to stare at the bracelet for a long time before he finally threw his face away.
“I give you something you want to accept with pleasure.” Arimbi forced a laugh before proceeding timidly, “Ehm...The emir? Are you still mad at me?”
“Who said I was angry?”
Arimbi was surprised and berated himself, he fell silent and did not understand why the Emir hung up his phone, did not reply to his message and even put on a sullen face if he was not angry?
