CHAPTERS 70. EMIR'S PROMISE
He preferred Arimbi, for twenty years he and his brother treated Arimbi like siblings. They don't know that Arimbi doesn't have a blood relationship with them. While people who have a blood relationship with them are very arrogant and do not care at all about their family and continue to insult them.
“Adrian!” arimbi called her from across the phone. The woman was very happy to receive a call from him. Hearing Arimbi's voice, immediately Adrian's anger disappeared.
“Iya Arimbi's. Listen to me carefully yes, our mother sorry I mean my mother was the victim of an accident and is currently in the hospital. He was fine just a little and had just had surgery. Mom hospitalized in Metro.”

Arimbi remembered that he had to ask the Emir for permission first. He called the Emir. The Emir immediately answered Arimbi's call after ringing twice.
“Emir, I need to take a day off.”
Without further ado he said because he was very anxious about the condition of his adoptive mother. “Ibuku was involved in a car accident and is currently being treated at Metro public hospital. I have to go see him now.”
The Emir furrowed his brows and turned to face Mosha who had just entered his study and was sitting there staring at the Emir. “Your mother was involved in an accident?” ask her with a deep voice.
How could this woman lie to him so seamlessly? Her mother is in my office with me now.
“My adoptive mother! Adrian just called me to tell me. Can I go Emir? I can visit him in the hospital first and if there is nothing serious I will rush to the hotel to eat with you.”
‘Oh his foster mother! Just deserve. Turns out he wasn't lying.’ thought the Emir.
“Go. We can postpone our eating. Ask the driver to take you there.”
Emir is not someone who does not know himself, he actually admires Arimbi because he still takes good care of his adoptive family. The Emir only looked down on people like Amanda who refused to acknowledge her biological family.
“Thank you Emir.” said Arimbi in a soft voice. He greatly appreciated the man and the deep Emir's greeting warmed his heart.
“Because today you have no gift for me, please replace it with something tonight. I'll take it with pleasure.”
Arimbi did not know what to say, when he wanted to talk the Emir had decided on a call.
“Pak Darmo! I will not go to the Hotel, please take me to Metro public hospital only.”
“Did Mr Emir give permission?”
“Good.”
After that the driver turned the car at the crossroad and drove to the metro public hospital. After deciding on Arimbi's call, the Emir directed his secretary to pour a glass of water on Mosha. “What's up here Mom?” the Emir asked calmly after his secretary came out.
Mosha was not used to the way the man treated her, the Emir's attitude frightened her instead.
Mosha quickly gulped down the warm water given to her to cool her suddenly dry throat. “Mr Emir.” Mosha felt a little uneasy as her gaze met with the Emir.
“Mother, I'm not a monster. I'm not gonna eat mom. Don't be afraid of me, Mom. Just say whatever you want to say and I will not feel offended.” said the Emir in a soft tone.
“Emir, I know that what Arimbi did back then embarrassed you. It was Arimbi's fault, my fault for not teaching him well. I apologize to you.” said Mosha, his intention today is indeed to apologize to the Emir.
“If you are still angry, be angry with me. Arimbi is my son and I always feel guilty for him because I spoiled him since he came back, to the point of making him dare to humiliate you.”
Mosha quietly sighed for a moment then looked at the Emir, there was no reaction from the man. Mosha continued to speak, “All is my fault, Mr. Emir! Please let him go, Arimbi is young and his life is long. Sorry before but following you to the end of his life won't benefit him. He hasn't been with me since I was a kid, I owe him a lot. I never expected him to be rich or famous. It was enough for me as long as she was healthy and found someone who loved her and lived happily with her.”
The Emir pursed his lips and heard Mosha pleading to let Arimbi go. After the woman finished saying everything that stuck in her heart and gulped down the water in the glass. The Emir coldly said, “Mother, I did not force Arimbi to marry me. He's the one who wants to marry me.”
Mosha was stunned to hear the Emir's words. He knew that the Emir never lied and what he said must have been honest.
“Why?”
“Why does Arimbi do that?” mosha asked again after a moment of silence.
“It's none of my business Mother. He bit me at the time and said that he had marked my body and he had to accept the risk. Then she forced me to marry her and made sure that she would not regret her decision. I happen to be looking for a wife and she's willing to marry me I'm doing what she wants. Sorry for not telling you early. This is our fault, I'm sorry for scaring you.”
The Emir felt bad and hid the real thing from the old man.
“Arimbi....” Mosha doesn't know what else to say now. He thinks the Emir is imposing his will on Arimbi to avenge/In fact, his own daughter wants the marriage.
“Do the parents in your family know about this?” ask Mosha. She knew how complicated and cunning the Serkan Family was that she felt sorry for her daughter for marrying that family. At the same time, she gets annoyed at Arimbi for hiding something as important as this from her. Again Mosha felt very sorry for the situation faced by Arimbi. Actually the Serkan family from the beginning did want to establish a relationship through marriage with the Rafaldi family. The woman knew it was done because the Serkan family had no other choice. If the Emir is not paralyzed, they will never vote for Arimbi.
The Serkan family only wanted to take advantage of Arimbi who grew up in the countryside and they also did not really appreciate the Rafaldi family. The Emir is still silent and he is not sure about the rest of his family but his mother is clearly not fond of Arimbi.
“I don't know why Arimbi wants this Emir, but since he's married to you, he's now your wife and you have to protect her. Whether a wife will be valued in the husband's family depends on the husband's attitude. Arimbi's position will be safe in the Serkan family as long as you defend him, no matter how much your family hates Arimbi.” Since this marriage was her daughter's decision, then they didn't want a divorce, at least for some time.
“Don't worry mom, I will always defend her as long as she is my wife.” Emir's promise to Mosha.
