GIRL IN RED
CHAPTERS 201. GRANDMOTHER & GRANDCHILDREN FEUD

Arimbi said nothing. After all Desi was only a messenger, so there was no point for Arimbi to say anything to Desi.

Seeing Arimbi still silent, then Desi urged with a little whisper, “Monya Muda Arimbi hurry so that Old Lady Serkan is not angry.” Desi kindly reminded Arimbi.

“Just do what he says later. Don't make Old Madam Serkan angry.”

Finally Arimbi followed Desi towards the pavilion. Rino and the other bodyguards stood outside the pavilion as usual when Arimbi approached them and greeted them respectfully, “Good morning Young Madam Arimbi.”

Arimbi returned their greetings with a smile. Rino is as handsome and cool as his boss. Joana still hangs up on him till now. He thought it was futile for Rino to work as Emir's bodyguard. According to Joana if Rino enters the workforce he believes the man will be the right-hand man of the Emir.

Seen in the pavilion Layla and the Emir were sitting, Layla wore reading glasses and looked docile like a nun. When Arimbi entered, the old woman still looked at the Emir lovingly and spoke to him without raising her eyebrows.

While the Emir looks very cold with lips lamented. He did not speak only uttered “Uh-huh.” in a cold and monotonous tone in response to Layla's long lecture.

The table is filled with a variety of breakfast dishes. Arimbi's eyes sparkled as he stared at the breakfast on the table. Today's breakfast is available in several menus, most of which are his favorite foods.

There is also a pancake that he likes best. Not a lot of pancakes on the table, but that's enough for him. Other food looks delicious.

“Grandmother.” Arimbi greeted Layla politely. The Emir had confessed to Layla about their marriage relationship which was already official as husband and wife so Arimbi called Layla ‘Genek’ as he should.

Layla still looks friendly and friendly but she replied without looking at Arimbi, “I've gotten used to you calling me Mrs Serkan so you better not call me grandma.”

The old woman did not acknowledge him as her daughter-in-law's granddaughter, huh? Thought Arimbi. Just when he wanted to correct himself and call Layla as Madam Serkan but the Emir coldly spoke first, “It is precisely because grandma is not used now that Arimbi must call you grandma more often so that grandma is used to hearing it. Call grandma a few more times.”

The old woman's lips twitched. Seeing Layla still maintain her composure, inevitably Arimbi thought that Grandma Serkan was very calm.

How could the person who trained the Emir to be such an incredible grandson be so demeaning to others? Then Arimbi followed the orders of her husband, “Grandmother.....grandmother....grandmother,” She called Layla ‘Grandmother’ several times until the person called can no longer hold her upset.

“Enough! What else are you waiting for? Wash your hands and serve food to the Emir. He will work another half hour.” Layla's orders. “Desi!”

Desi immediately carried a basin filled with water filled with orange leaves floating above it so as to give off the smell of orange leaves.

Looking at the basin of water that was clearly boiled with grapefruit leaves, Arimbi stared at him silently for a moment. Then he said, “Grandma, I washed my hands before coming here.”

In the village where the Darmawan family lived only those who were considered to bring bad luck who would clean themselves with boiled water of grapefruit leaves.

In other words Layla had him wash his hands using water mixed with orange leaves for the first reason is to consider Arimbi as an unlucky carrier.

Arimbi did not attack Layla but she refused to wash her hands using boiled water of grapefruit leaves. At that time Layla urged him, “Even if you have washed your hands, you must wash them again. Your hands were contaminated with bacteria when you came all the way here. You should wash your hands thoroughly before serving food to my grandson.”

Before Arimbi could respond to the old woman's words, the Emir replied, “Grandmother, have you washed your hands? Grandma came from the main house that was further from here than Arimbi. Surely your hands are much more bacteria than my wife's hands.”

Layla was confused and stunned to hear the Emir's words, she did not know how to retaliate.

“Rino!” call the Emir in a grim voice. Rino immediately entered the pavilion. “Air water!”

Rino immediately snatched the water-filled basin from Desi just as he stepped out of the pavilion, the Emir stopped him and ordered in a cold and deep voice.

“Customize here!” instead of asking Rino to pour water, he said ‘cikkan’ which has different meanings. Then the Emir looked at his grandmother with a grim and unhappy look.

“Grandma, don't ever make me see water boiled orange leaves again! Unless you want me to cut down all the grapefruit trees in this villa complex.”

Layla was silent for a few minutes, next her tone changed to friendly, “It was my fault. I forgot that you hated the scent of grapefruit leaves the most.” then he took the pancake cake and placed it on the Emir's plate as if nothing had happened. Then with a smile he said, “I remember you don't like pancake cakes. Why breakfast pancake cake today?”

“Because my wife loves pancakes. Whatever Arimbi likes then I like too!”

Layla fell silent again, in her heart she hated Arimbi even more because she managed to take the attention and affection of the Emir from him. While Arimbi felt his heart warm to hear the Emir's words and he sat next to him.

But before Arimbi sat down, Layla suddenly took her beautiful wallet from the chair next to her and took out a piece of paper from inside.

“Arimbi!” he looked at Arimbi with soft eyes then handed the paper to her while maintaining his friendly attitude. Arimbi just glanced at the paper in the hand of the old woman.

“Arimbi, copy the contents of this paper a hundred times to remember it so that you do not repeat the same mistakes as you did this morning. And send me the copy you wrote the longest before lunch.” Layla Serkan said expressionlessly on her face.

Arimbi was confused, he did not know the side of the paper then he took the paper from Granny Hand Serkan and unfolded it. As soon as he saw the contents of the paper, a large hand had already grabbed the paper first and tore it into small pieces. All that was heard was the sound of paper being ripped apart by force by the Emir. Both Arimbi and Layla Serkan were stunned.

The Emir grabbed Arimbi's hand and pulled it towards him. Then he picked up what had become a fragment in front of Layla Serkan, then placed it on his plate and put the paper together with the pancake cake into his mouth.

“Emir!” Arimbi reached out his hand to open the Emir's mouth to take out the paper but the man clasped his hand firmly.

“Emir!”Layla finally lost her composure. He felt angry and depressed, he said. “Why did you eat that paper?”
