Sound of knock on the door sounded, “Log in!”
His guard opened the door without stepping in and respectfully said,”Doctor Cantika has arrived here.”
“Send him in soon.” Dion's orders.
Hearing that, the bodyguard turned aside as Doctor Cantika walked in wearing casual clothes.
She was a gentle-looking woman in her forties who looked like a good person to hang out with.
“Director Harimurti!” Doctor Cantika greeted politely as she entered.
Dion nodded, “Please check him.”
“Good.”
Dion walked out of the room and closed the door behind him to give the women their privacy afterwards. Doctor Cantika finally came out again after ten minutes. Dion didn't say anything but she kept looking at him with pursed lips.
“Director Harimurti, the woman is still a virgin.” said Doctor Cantika. In just one word, doctors have proven that Arimbi never conceived a child. Dion's expression was immediately grim when he heard that. Could there be something wrong with her mentally to the point that she thinks she has children?
Dion waved his hand to signal his bodyguard to take the doctor out of the Harimurti hotel via a secret passageway. So no one knows that he's here. Shortly after, Arimbi came out of the room and asked in a calm tone, “The doctor you brought has proven that I am innocent. Can I go now?”
“I've made you uncomfortable Miss Arimbi! I'm sorry for all this.”
Dion may be a stubborn and bossy man, but he still has manners. Arimbi would probably have changed his opinion about her if only he wasn't the baby's real father. “I hope you did what you said.” said Arimbi.
Arimbi does not want the man to bother him anymore, he is the one who took away his chastity in his previous life but he allowed him to marry Reza. He did not even show much reaction when they coincidentally met several times at the banquet. It was most likely what he had said about him having head surgery earlier which was the reason why he lost a certain memory.
The baby is dead, the sweet child may not be reborn as his child in this life. Their fate as mothers and children was short-lived. Even so, Arimbi did not want to hold a grudge against Dion. Because nothing happened between them in this life and Arimbi also did not want any relationship with him.
Dion asks one of his bodyguards to take Arimbi through a secret passageway to leave the hotel. After the uproar, Arimbi decided not to go to the hospital. He stopped the taxi and asked the driver to take him to Rafaldi Group. As the daughter of the Rafaldi Family, neither the security guards nor the receptionist stopped her as she walked into the company and headed straight upstairs to her father's office.
Yadid was just about to go see a client when his secretary told him over the phone that Arimbi was here. So he waited in his office, he heard a knock at the door. When the door opened appeared Arimbi who walked in with a sweet smile and greeted him, “Dad.”
Hearing her beautiful voice, Yadid immediately gave a smile to her daughter.
“What are you doing here? Did you come here by yourself? You didn't come home to see your mother?” ask Yadid lovingly.
Arimbi staggered towards her before she wrapped her arms around her father, “Did you not want to see me? I don't give a shit! I want to see you every day, father.” Arimbi pretended to be a spoiled grumble.
When Yadid heard his daughter's remark, he gently pinched her daughter's nose and said, “Oh-I'm so happy to see you! How could I not want to see you?”
“Ah, that's better,” she replied and just let go of Yadid's arm after rubbing it gently. Instead of her pretending to be familiar, Arimbi actually couldn't help but feel ashamed when she did that. He was glad there was no third person in the office with them who witnessed him being so affectionate with his father.
Then yadid told him to sit down, “Do you want to drink something?”
Not wanting to be too polite to his own daughter, Yadid talked about something else to talk about.
“I want you to ask Mr. Emir for permission. How about that? Does he agree and let you work here?” ask Yadid.
“He agrees, dad! I can start working anytime now.” Arimbi smiles.
“True.” Yadid was very happy to hear that.
“I dare not joke with the Emir. I won't come to tell dad if he's agreed. He also said that he would teach you when he was spare.”
The Emir is too petty for such a thing. In retrospect, he was still angry at Arimbi and he had tried to send him a message and call him several times but the Emir ignored everything Arimbi had done to contact him.
While Yadid thought of Arimbi's remarks, he thought that his daughter would never dare to go against the Emir's words.
“Because Mr. Emir has given you permission, you can start working next Monday. You have a lot to learn from me as your mentor. You are my only child so rafaldi Group will be yours someday. Don't disappoint me Arimbi.”
“Thank you dad! I promise I'll work hard.”
Yadid nodded in relief. Having a son-in-law like the Emir gave him confidence that his daughter would quickly learn. “Arimbi, are you and Mr. Emir.”.
Arimbi's cheeks instantly blushed and timidly he cut off his father's speech, “Dad!”
“I'm your real father Arimbi. I'm just worried about you.”
Not only Arimbi, even Yadid was embarrassed to ask such a thing.
“Dad, I'm married to him. I'll never regret it. As long as she does not leave me and I do not give up on our marriage, I will be with her for the rest of my life.” replied Arimbi confidently.
Yadid may feel very happy to have a son-in-law like the Emir, but as a father it hurts him very much to think that his daughter should live her life like an unmarried woman.
“Dad?” Arimbi called out to him hesitantly.
Yadid looked at him giving him a look that Arimbi could say whatever he wanted to say.
“Uh...father what kind of gift do men like?” ask Arimbi.
“Do you want to buy a gift for Mr Emir?” yadid asked after a moment of silence. The man smiled looking at his daughter's seemingly happy expression. “Everyone's favorite. I like to collect antiques, but it's not necessarily liked by Mr. Emir. I don't know what he likes either. Why don't you try giving him a tie?”
Emir's taste is very closed. There could be no one who knew the man's taste. Because there was never any news in the media, no one even knew about the man's personal matters. Even normal people could not get close to the man, once they tried to approach him then his guards would immediately prepare to fight to protect him.
