CHAPTER 92. CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA!
“There's something else bothering you?” asked Arimbi squinted his eyes.
“Arimbi, I'm really sorry for what happened before. I am responsible for many businesses in the company and one of them is PT. Kanchana Universe. It was because I knew more about the internal situation that I became anxious and scolded you.”
“Ya true!” jeered Arimbi, the corner of his lips lifted, “You just got really nervous. There is no one in this city who does not know how calm and great the deputy director of Rafaldi group is. Being aggressive and attacking me blindly like this is not who you really are, Amanda.”
Amanda has the courage to exalt herself even though she actually did it for Reza. Just that, she also insinuates Arimbi as a person who does not know the family business and that he offended someone whom he should not offend and caused harm to their family company.
“Arimbi! You're saying that you don't have any more grudges against Reza? Are you really planning to give up on him? He is your love at first sight, isn't he? You guys like each other and love and are destined to be together.” Amanda suddenly changed the subject. To be honest he purposely said that because it was the thing that he was so worried about.
“Amanda, do you know that Mrs Kanchana came home today?” ask Arimbi.
Amanda suddenly got a bad feeling about it, “What's she coming here for?”
Arimbi just looked at her without saying a word.
Seeing Arimbi not responding to her, Amanda again asked, “Why are you looking at me like that Arimbi? Is something wrong?”
“I want to congratulate you~ Lady Kanchana came here to deliver the dowry.” Arimbi said smiling.
“Mas mating?” amanda's voice shrieked but in an instant she regained her composure. “She must have brought a dowry for you in Reza's name. I should have congratulated you Arimbi.”
“Not. Mrs Kanchana came to propose to you. And he immediately prepared and brought the dowry in broad daylight. He said directly that he wanted you as his daughter-in-law. It's a joyous day. Congratulations on Amanda.”
Arimbi ignored the surprised and confused expression on Amanda's face. She leaned over her body and whispered, “But mom was really upset over what had happened at home.Mom rejected the proposal.” she said with a satisfied smile. After saying that, Arimbi walked past Amanda and sauntered back towards the house.
Amanda, who heard that, could not calm herself down after learning that her mother had rejected Reza's proposal. If only she were the daughter of Rafaldi's partner, she would have had a lavish wedding with Reza. However, Amanda is not at all happy with Yessi Kanchana coming to the house in person to propose to her. He went on a rampage and clenched his hands.
‘Why did Mrs Kanchana do that? Bring a dowry and come propose to me without telling me first? And what did he say? Did you reject that proposal? Arggwggg! Damnit!’ the curse is in the heart.
Almost everyone in the city knows that Arimbi likes Reza and Reza also says he will marry Arimbi. But Yessi is proposing to Amanda now and she's not surprised that Mosha will reject the proposal.
Not only that, the proposal makes Yadid and Mosha think that Amanda has robbed the groom of Arimbi. That made them very angry and judged Amanda was not the sister who treated Arimbi well.
“How could my mother do this?” asked Reza. “Mother nobody tells anyone before she leaves carrying the dowry. Amanda, I really don't know about this.”
“I know you definitely don't know this at all. Now that your mother has messed up our plans, I'm worried that we should make new plans again.”
“Amanda, How did your mother react when my mother brought her dowry? Why don't we just get married if she's already agreed to it?” asked Reza in a low voice.
Amanda keeps trying to be calm and she can't get married before Arimbi gets married. Because if Amanda gets married then Yadid will be more careful with her and her husband's family later. If Amanda was still a single daughter like she used to be the heir to the Rafaldi family fortune.
Yadid even told her that Amanda had to protect her surname and never let her husband own any assets on behalf of her husband or her husband's family.
But now there is Arimbi the real princess and Amanda knows that the yadid will train Arimbi to become the successor of the company if Amanda gets married first. Arimbi is a real daughter and Amanda is not.
After thinking for a moment, he calmly explained, “We can't get married now Reza! I couldn't get married before Arimbi got married. Not that I don't love you Reza, my dream is to be your life partner, you know what my plan is?”
“Can you be patient waiting for me soon Reza? Focusing your mind on getting your company out of the current crisis, I asked Arimbi about it and he said that he was not the one who could persuade Mr. Emir to take revenge on your company. I don't think he could have lied.” Amanda explained.
“Try you think, does Mr Emir look like a man who moves mountains for a woman? We may overestimate Arimbi too much. I also know how busy you are but you need to take the time to explain to Arimbi that you have nothing to do with your mother's sudden visit carrying a dowry to propose to me. Arimbi likes you so much that she can't possibly lose her feelings for you in just less than a week.”
Amanda is convinced that she has been acting too impulsively lately because she suspects Arimbi has learned of her relationship with Reza. And today is a prime example of the consequences he has received as a result of his attitude. Meanwhile Reza begins to doubt Amanda's feelings for her. Amanda, who always says that she is crazy about him, pushes him to other women because of his own selfishness and ambition.
He still remembers how he used to hate Arimbi so much but because his lover was thirsty for treasure and greed then he was forced to follow Amanda's game by pretending that the person he loved was only Arimbi.
“Reza! I can't talk for long. I'm outside now, I'll hang up ya.” Amanda spread her gaze around to make sure no one noticed and heard her conversation with Reza. “You can tell me if you need my help. My words are very influential in the company.”
Amanda still considers that she is still the successor to Rafaldi Group while Arimbi is a nobody, even if Arimbi becomes part of the company then Amanda will never give him the opportunity to have influence in the company as long as Amanda is still around. After Reza thanked him and hung up the phone, he let out a deep breath.
Reza initially wanted to call her mother but eventually she decided not to contact her first. He also wanted to call Airmbi to explain to her but the woman had already changed so quickly that it left Reza confused.
He even begins to suspect that Arimbi is not the same person he used to be, he is like everyone else. Afraid that Arimbi would not pick up his phone, Reza refused to call Arimbi.
After thinking for a moment he decided to focus on saving his family's company first out of the crisis and will figure out a way to win Arimbi's heart again later after all his problems are over.
