The Romance of Earth and Blue
PART 25 – Birthday Gift
“Happy birthday.”
That lively exposure was immediately heard when I had just opened the door of the room. My life is still hovering in the middle of nowhere. In front of me my father, mother, and brother were busy singing. There's a chocolate tart that I brought with me a lit candle.
“Come, deck. Make a wish,” said brother told me. I closed my eyes and expressed some hope.
We had breakfast together. I cooked some of my favorite menus.
“Today adek to do?” ask me about my activities today.
“School as usual. After that go home, already,” I replied simply.
“Same as Blue? She doesn't know you're having a birthday?” ask mother.
I did not answer and continued my breakfast shrugging my shoulders. I never talked about birthdays with Blue. I don't know when his birthday is either, and I'm sure he is.
“I want to take a shower. Want to get ready,” I said then immediately go to the room.
School days are like any other day. No one seems to even know that this is my birthday. Well, I'm used to it and I don't have much of a problem with it.
In the break, I enjoy lunch with my friends. Just then my phone rang displaying an incoming message from Blue.
“Still angry?”
“Later home school busy gak?”
“Can I see you later in the afternoon?”
The three messages were able to lock my eyes on the phone screen. Given how hard Blue fought yesterday, it touched me. I really shouldn't have stayed in it for a few days just because of a problem that even I don't know exactly how it really is.
“Bby.” Answer me briefly. After that I hurriedly put my phone in my skirt bag.
“Blue, how's Bum? Not join the ball sparing means?” ask Fanny.
I don't even know about that. “It looks like engga,” my word.
Fanny nodded in understanding. What I like most about them is that they never interfere in my affairs at all. They didn't look down on Blue, so I felt more comfortable.
“Earth.”
I was about to take a sip of my drink so put the glass back with apple juice and looked up. I saw Bima standing on the side of the table.
“Why?”
“It's from Blue. He said the rest will follow. Happy birthday yes. Sorry I was not ready for a gift because I did not know that today is your last year,” said Bima while giving me a bouquet of medium-sized roses.
“Nothing really, Bim. Thanks yes,” my word.
Bima nodded then left just like that. Whether there is anything with him, his nature is indeed fast changing. I watched the bouquet in my hand. The color choice is not much. Only black, red, and white. Very typical Blue. The smell of this rose is also very soft.
“You're birthday?” ask Kartika.
I'm nodding.
“Kok did not say.” I just chuckle as my friends get excited about my birthday.
“Do not want to know anyway we have to be together. You empty when?” asked Fanny who looked very excited.
“Emm today I have an appointment. What about tomorrow? I'm taking you home,” I said give you an idea.
I never invited a friend to play at home. I still doubt if they will be pleased or not. But it turns out they agreed to it so that makes me relieved.
Back at school, I hurried to take a shower when I got home because Blue said he was going to pick me up. I opened the closet and tried to find suitable clothes. The point is today I want to be different.
“Adek find what?” asked mom, curious about my work.
Mom came up to me and picked the right clothes for me. After thinking for quite a while I finally dropped the choice on a simple knee-length peach-colored dress. Her waist has a ribbon that makes her look sweet.
Next I wear tipiss powder and pink lipgloss. I let my shoulder-length hair fall out and tied the two front halves to the back and added a matching colored ribbon.

I who was tired of looking for clothes again finally accepted resignedly. Blue was coming soon. He was wearing his favorite white shirt and light blue shirt.
“Hei, happy birthday yes. It's for you,” he gave me a small box that I don't know what's in it.

I nodded and smiled.

“What? Try hard,” he said while chuckling.
I hit her shoulder slowly to show my frustration. We headed to one of the famous ice cream shops. “Pesen aja which you like,” said. “but do not wholesale yes.”
I chose the ice cream for the smallest price.
“Why choose that? choose another, Earth. This is your favorite strawberry,” he said offering. But I shook my head.
“Again pengen vanilla.”
Blue finally gave up. We chose to sit by the window. My favorite spot anywhere. “You're not pesen too?” I felt uncomfortable because I was the only one eating it.
Blue smiled then shook his head. “Neg. See you are more than enough,” he said.
“Where are you going? You are free to choose. Want mantai? Or watch.”
“Blue, you've given me a lot of gifts. Enough is enough,” I replied.
He took my hand and held it. “This is your special day. As if today I want to make you smile,” he said.
“I'm sure I can choose anything?” many ensure.

“I want to go to your house? Look at your rabbits. You were once nawarin. I also want to know your sister,” I said immediately thinking about what I want most on my birthday.

“I want to know you further,” I replied steadily.
“You might leave me if you know,” he said with a chuckle. His voice became discordant. I don't know what happened to him.
I grabbed back her hand that had slipped out of my grasp and grasped it tighter. “Blue, why did you conclude yourself? I'm not even anything yet. But one thing you should know, I will not leave you either what things you fear from it all,” I said with confidence.
